Front yard turf, landscaping and paver steps
    Lori M.

We hired them to redo our front yard landscaping with turf, plants and pavers. We worked with Peggy and she was amazing! She listened to what we wanted and gave us a few designs to choose from. We changed up a few things along the way and it was no problem for them. We are very happy with how it all turned out!

We had an excellent experience with Poco Verde. We worked with Peggy to start our project and she was involved throughout. She met with us and created a design for our front courtyard and two side yard areas. Our job was not really big and they usually do not handle small projects so we were glad they would work with us. Peggy provided us a quote and timeline and they stuck pretty close to the schedule. There were some long lead times for some plants but no surprises there. Jose and Claudio did most of the work and were very easy to work with. There were minor challenges with communicating but Peggy was available if needed. If you speak Spanish it will make things easier. The areas we had done were pretty sparse and needed some help. We had a pathway put in along with pots, plants, rock and some nice trellises on the walls. See the pictures for the results!

Our yard and pool are finally complete! Thank you Poco verde for your hard work and dedication. We cannot wait to have family and friends over for us to make great memories. COVID has for sure put things on hold, like everything else, but just remember that's not the company's fault. Yes at times it took some calls to remind them we were still here. But overall they always followed up. Especial thanks to the hard working crews that completed the jobs, Rhonda, Sally, Debbie, Bob, Gary, Tyson and Aaron. It takes a team to make things happen. Again thank you !

    Leak in waterline

One of the worst experiences I've had with a landscape company. Insane. My builder in Chandler had them as the only option to provide upgraded landscaping. The guys who installed our front walkway made it WAY off center from the patio and even did the steps half the size that the plans called for. They redid it and then messed it up AGAIN. Then they redid it again and messed it up AGAIN! If they would have just asked us or even looked closely at the plans it would have been one and done. Pushed out close date out because of it. Now I've had the house for less then two weeks and there's a massive leak in the landscaping watering line somewhere and it caused one of the steps to cave in and water to go everywhere. NEVER use them. I also asked for a pool quote from them and wait for months and never got it after emailing the sales guy for the quote a dozen times.

Excellent job, price point and customer service. I had been wanting to install artificial grass in my backyard but never imagined it would turned out so well. Highly recommended!

Poco Verde built our pool and landscaped our backyard. Overall we're very happy with the finished product. The pool is beautiful. Bill Ringling as a project manager was great to work with. Their prices were in line with other contractors. The follow-up after the pool was built, including showing us how to use the equipment, was awesome and they've been wonderful about answering questions that have come up due to operator error! One thing to note is that you do have to stay on top of them in order to get work done. We'd go for days with no work being done and others times when the workers did show up the work was done at a snail's pace. It seems there's some discord between the landscape/worker side and the office staff. The office staff member doing the scheduling also left a lot to be desired. All that being said, a nice pool and landscaping.

In addition we had a new sprinkler system installed and added trees and plants. JNK/ Naji specifically was phenomenal in communication - extremely rare in this line of work. Naji was always very responsive and with a positive attitude. His staff showed up on time, respectful and took pride in their work. We are VERY happy with the results. We now have the outdoor living room and space we wanted. They were not the cheapest but we were willing to pay a little extra to ensure the schedule was adhered to and the quality and warranty. Not chasing someone down for the next step is the project and having this substantially completed in under 2 weeks is amazing. Definitely recommend JNK.

I am sure there are other great landscaping businesses out there, but the reviews were key for me - I had nothing else to go by, since we haven't used any landscaping services. Reviews were accurate. Service-communication: very good. My main contact was James. Took a lot of time with us. We were going from scratch, so it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted. Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Toward the end, had to wait for the pergola parts to arrive. About three weeks to complete entire job.

We chose System Pavers because they were the premium option. They were also the highest bid we…read morereceived (around $38,000), but we believed we were paying for quality, expertise, and project management. Their sales presentation was impressive, and we were told they would coordinate everything for our pool patio remodel. Unfortunately, our experience looked nothing like the polished videos we were shown. The project stretched from February 5 until May 14 and required constant homeowner involvement. Instead of having a project manager ensuring the work met quality standards, I felt like I became the project's quality-control inspector, inspecting every stage of construction, discovering mistakes, documenting issues, and asking for them to be corrected. I expected to hire a contractor. Instead, I spent three months acting as the quality-control inspector for my own project. During the project we dealt with broken pool pipes, damage to our pool aerator, fill tank, and underground plumbing, uncapped sprinkler lines beneath the patio, missing weed barriers, uneven pool coping, improper edging, damaged landscaping, and extensive construction debris left throughout our property and neighboring yards. In addition, several pieces of our personal property were damaged or destroyed, including a broken pool net, broken garden hoses, a seven-foot wooden shade post that workers used as a cutting surface, and a planter that was thrown away after crews moved retaining wall blocks to drive equipment through our yard. We also endured weeks of piles of pavers, dirt, rocks, and construction materials stacked in front of both our home and neighboring properties, along with plastic bottles, McDonald's bags, and other food waste left behind by crews. One thing that became obvious was the lack of communication between departments. The salesperson promised certain things that the installation crews clearly never knew about. For example, we specifically discussed reusing our landscape rock, but it was thrown away during demolition because that information never reached the crew. Customer service became increasingly frustrating. When we emailed management documenting workmanship concerns, we received little response regarding the actual problems but had no trouble receiving payment requests. During one phone call, the project manager told us, "We thought the ship had sailed on customer service." Hearing that after months of issues was incredibly disappointing. One issue that really damaged our trust involved the sprinkler system beneath the patio. When water started shooting through the middle of the new pavers, we were initially told the lines had definitely been capped and it must simply be leftover water. Once someone inspected the problem in person, the response became, "Oh, we must not have capped them." Because multiple pool components had already been damaged during demolition, I insisted on having the underground plumbing pressure tested before resurfacing the pool. That test found additional damage that required repair before the pool could be completed. Had we not pushed for that testing, the pool company told us hidden leaks could have remained beneath newly installed plaster. Near the end of the project, I refused to sign the Certificate of Completion until the remaining work was finished. I was initially told work would have to be delayed if I didn't sign first. After refusing, management then said they would finish the work regardless of my signature. That experience left me questioning why there was so much pressure to sign paperwork before the project was actually complete. To be fair, not everything was negative. The second project manager, Jose Corral, completely changed the direction of the project. He was knowledgeable, honest, respectful, and immediately recognized many of the quality issues that had been overlooked. He worked hard to make things right and deserves recognition because he was the one person who consistently treated us like valued customers. I understand that construction projects can have unexpected challenges. My frustration isn't that everything didn't go perfectly--it's that we paid premium pricing and repeatedly had to advocate for issues that should never have occurred in the first place. Looking back, I don't regret investing in our home--I regret having to spend three months acting as the quality-control inspector on a premium-priced project. Homeowners shouldn't have to monitor every phase of construction just to ensure the work is completed correctly. If you're considering System Pavers, keep detailed written records, photograph every phase of the project, inspect everything before it gets covered up, and don't sign completion paperwork until every punch-list item has been completed. It was a very small project My project was only about 345 sq. ft., and I was quoted around $10,000 before tax, which felt extremely high for the size. The representative also showed some unprofessionalism. They came twice to my home the first time to make measurements and then an hour later he came back. He asked to come inside my home, stayed for more than 45 minutes even though I indicating I would not be making a decision on the spot. He continued pushing for a $1,000 deposit right then and there. I asked for at least 24 hours to think about it, but he kept stalling instead of respecting my time. I eventually had to ask him to leave. Overall, not the experience I expected, and I wouldn't recommend this company based on how my consultation went. The high pressure sales tactic and the unprofessionalism made me not want to buy from them.
