We visited this place on the 4th of July. Bigfork was PACKED in anticipation of the parade (which included the awesome Clydesdales) and we knew the wait to get in would be long. Having been here before, we opted to hang in there as the food and the service has never failed to disappoint. So, 90 minutes later we were seated. The place was a mob scene and we were prepared to wait for service. However, our server was there within seconds to provide water, coffee, and menus. We made our decisions, and again within seconds our server was back to take our order. We were seated outside near the parade route so we weren't in a hurry, but much to our surprise and delight, our food arrived after only a few minutes. It lived up to its usual high standards: Hot and delicious. The server wasn't harried or rushed; in fact, she was, as always, very pleasant and efficient. Ssssoooooo good! We had a yummy grilled cheese with fresh cut fries (me) and my Hubby got buttermilk pancakes (d'lish). The owner was walking around with fresh cinnamon buns straight from the oven, which she was giving out samples. A-maz-ing. Gooey, sweet, and the sugar had caramelized in some places. Yum, yum, yum. Came here for breakfast and we were really impressed from the beginning. Very warm welcome. Super cute place in a super cute area. Stayed in Big Fork and ate breakfast here 5 mornings in-a-row. The staff is friendly and efficient. The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for--they can run out on weekends, but they also make them throughout the day. Breakfasts are hearty, like their eggs Benedict, and coffee is plentiful. On a nice morning, sit on their patio. Order a breakfast sandwich for here or to go. They also have a nice selection of fresh jams for English muffins and homemade biscuits. read more

This place is so good! Bigfork is a great town to visit, and we loved eating here last week. I got the Bluebird, and tomato soup. I also had a cappuccino which was great. Everything is good here, and we really enjoyed the fun descriptions on the menu! Sorry no pictures of the sandwich... I ate it to quickly! We also loved their Rye bread too. My husband also loved the Americano he got there. He has tried many and said he will always remember this place because of that. Our waitress and the staff were very friendly also which is a huge deal to me! I am also very picky about ranch, and I loved their ranch. It wasn't sour like the store bought stuff which was a plus for me. The restaurant itself is very charming and the decor was nice. This was worth the long wait we had. Stopped in here for a lunch after a few days of camping in Glacier National Park. Everyone in our group was really happy with their food. Highlight was the homemade jams that were set our with the breakfast foods that were ordered. I had a pulled beef and pork sandwich that was awesome. read more

Food is ok but the owners/staff are extremely unfriendly and rude. I'm a local and I have a small service dog. Every time I've gone there to order food to go a lady rushes over and tells me the dog can't be there. Under Federal Law he can. When I say he's a service dog she says "OK". No reason to be so unfriendly and rude to someone especially someone with a service dog. Bigfork needs more restaurants open during the winter. read more

We walked by this place for the past week since we are in Big Fork and thought we would give it a try due to location and reviews on Yelp and G00gle . We were a bit underwhelmed by the taste of the foods. Someone in my party said that his chocolate chip pancakes tasted like "those gross Paleo pancakes" then he said it just wasn't flavorful. Also, the value for the money was not there. I get it, we're in Big Fork but $11.50 for one waffle and toppings?! Two small (Size of the palm of your hand) crepes w/ strawberries for $12.00. It was good but not worth $12. This place was just ok and I won't be coming back. Atmosphere and service was acceptable. Location was great. read more

It was a quiet early morning when we went, so service was prompt, though sparse. The food was very average, and my "eggs over hard" arrived "over easy" - but the whites weren't even fully cooked. I really hate sending anything back, but decided I'd ask if the waitress returned. She didn't come back until we'd been done for a bit. At that point she offered new eggs, but seemed very noncommittal to how they would come out. I totally get that some chefs are horrified at making "over hard" eggs, but perhaps let me know so I could opt for scrambled? She took a few dollars off the bill, which I appreciated, but I still over-payed by $4 for the combination of food I purchased. Not a terrible experience, but I wouldn't return or recommend it. read more

Wow. Very impressed! All we wanted was a cinnamon roll. The roll was one of the best I've ever had (and we got the last one for the day!) Lots of cinnamon, soft and chewy, and homemade cream cheese frosting dolloped on top. I got the Reuben which was delicious. Everything homemade (including corned beef). Very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and amazing homemade food. Breakfast and lunch until closing. :) read more

Cute, friendly breakfast place in downtown Big Fork. Food was good, I had the Montana Mush the first day which is dolled up oatmeal and was very good! The cinnamon roll was also delicious. Stopped here for lunch when visiting Bigfork,MT and was not impressed. The Buffalo chicken salad I ordered didn't even look like real chicken strips. The blue cheese dressing was bland on top of fresh spring mix greens. The place was crowded and uncomfortable. The lady behind the counter was yelling goodbye to guests leaving and calling them the wrong name. They were all stopping to correct her. It was awkward. read more

Really good food BUT... maybe hire more staff? Our waitress seemed really overwhelmed and the service was not great. We waited a while to even get water or take our order. The couple that was seated next to us ended up leaving because no one gave them water or came to their table either. The quality of food is what makes this place great... but service really knocks down the experience. It's definitely just for tourists who won't come back and as locals it's pretty disappointing. Also I ordered one of their famous cinnamon rolls and was really excited and had to be told after the fact that they are out. The kitchen should communicate to the servers before orders are taken and guests hopes are up. Maybe if the server let me order 15 minutes earlier when I wanted to they would have had them in. We bought a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie on 8/22 and it was the best that I've ever had - too busy and crowded to stay for lunch. Poor service, ok food. We showed up for breakfast and were happy to see three clean empty tables and a short line - just 2 groups ahead of us. Unfortunately there was no rush to help us or the three other groups who showed up after us. We all stood outside in the cold - no room in the lobby - for another 10 minutes before we were seated - at CLEANED TABLES. Once we were seated the service was ok and our meals were ok. We noticed that as the wait for others continued to grow outside there was no rush to clear empty tables. It would seem another employee would be useful to avoid these issues. read more

It can get packed here! But I would wait every single time. Waitresses have always been excellent even though they're super busy. I love their waffles and breakfast potatoes. Hot chocolate is a staple even if it's 90 degrees out. Pastries and scones are also great to go if you're in a hurry. read more

We went for lunch and I must say it was the best lunch I've had in a while. I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but the food was all great, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We'll definitely go there again! Went in for scones and a latte and enjoyed the atmosphere/food so much ate there the next three days. The menu is really well suited for people who like home cooked food with an artistic twist - cant wait to go back when I return. We are staying at the Bridge Street Cottages; short walk to Pocketstone Cafe. We had a 20 minute wait, no seating outside but maybe they hadn't fully set up for the summer crowd yet. Would have given them a 5 star rating but the coffee was weak, I'm a bold kind of gal. Got a cup of espresso and that solved the issue. We had egg Benedict, side of bacon which was cooked to perfection, slices were thick and very tasty. We then tried the freshly home made cinnamon roll; throw the diet out the window and indulge. Hardly anything for vegetarians, way overpriced for IHop-type food and very rude wait staff. I was just grossed out and will never return. I made the mistake of taking my whole family there and the bathrooms were falling apart and dirty. This is supposed to reflect downtown Bigfork?! Methinks not. Turn around and go to Sugar and Spice, because they are everything nice and run by young and nice people who treat you right. read more

I came to Pocketstone Cafe based off of a friend's recommendation, it was my first time in Montana and we had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport for our return flight. The small downtown of Big Fork is just adorable, there were a few restaurant options but my friend said Pocketstone was the must try! We put our name in and waited about 20 minutes for our table, we were seated outside on the adorable porch. I got the turkey sandwich which was delicious! The bread it came on was made in house and SOO good, it was fluffy but still held up to the sandwich. Everything on the menu looked awesome, especially the breakfast. When and if I find myself in Big Fork again I will 100% be coming back here! read more

Although this place is always busy, it's packed for a reason! Good service and great food makes this place a must for breakfast in the Kalispell/Bigfork area. I recently tried the breakfast tacos and they did not disappoint. Their Huevos Montana is also incredible. And if you have a sweet tooth, make sure to get their giant cinnamon roll on the side. Just make sure you come hungry because no matter what, you will leave stuffed! read more
