Trivia: Ceres is known as a dwarf planet but I think the mythological connection makes more sense…read more Who is Ceres in Roman mythology? The live planter in the back is super cool! Really makes the seating area come to life! Ha! The cooler with ginger beer and kombucha had one small flaw: there were no nutrition facts. The baristas/bakers didn't have much to say on the matter. So I didn't get one. Service was friendly. It was fast. Definitely a good spot to duck into as one works their way along the shops on Main Street.

When you walk in, fresh smells waft over you and it makes your tummy rumble (at least it did mine). All their baked goods are very fresh and look delicious! My only qualms are with the coffee and atmosphere. Either our coffees were burnt or we just don't like the roast (I got a caramel latte, she got a chai latte). We still drank them because they weren't absolutely disgusting, they just tasted off and not something you'd want to drink regularly. As for the atmosphere, the space was very cute and well laid out - there are plants and paintings throughout to bring color and joy. However, Carolers came in for about 15 minutes.. with brass instruments! I understand "tis the season" and I love the Christmas spirit, but I also don't want a trombone blasting music 10 feet from my table on a lazy Sunday morning... a little disappointed Ceres allowed them to do this, but I also don't want to be a Scrooge... If you want a good cinnamon roll or breakfast sandwich I think this is the spot! But maybe temper expectations for coffee? Might just be me, but also worth a visit if you want. Happy Holidays!

We arrived for breakfast around 9:30 and the place had a few occupied tables with one server and a…read morebarista whom also acted as a server. It was small but a cozy feeling. Having never been there before I wasn't sure what kind of coffee drinks were available, but they had a decent selection so I ordered an iced caramel coffee (bonus in my book). We ordered a cinnamon roll to start and share, then our main plates. We received the roll before my coffee even though I ordered the drink first; probably because the barista at wasn't stationary position and was taking other orders. It was then that things slowed down a bit after a large table was seated. Once we received our food we were over-all happy with everything. Though my husband was disappointed in the potatoes O'Brien since the onion and peppers were just added to the top of the regular breakfast potatoes instead of frying them together. I'd say 8/10, we would go again if we were back in the area.

Pocketstone is SO cute. I wish I could take it home with me…read more It's very smalltown diner that is meant to be the first stop of anyone's visit to Big Fork. It's welcoming, charming and ready to serve you a lot of local love. The country fried steak has to be the most delicious have ever had. The steak is very generously portioned and is cuddled up with a blanket of sausage gravy that simply hits different. The eggs benny were very yummy too. I didn't get to have much of it since my partner plowed through the dish but the hollandaise was silky and creamy. The butter seeping into the biscuit just made it an all-star dish. The biscuits here are CRAZY GOOD. I think all of the baked goods are amazing. We came here daily during our trip (which we never double dip on a trip!). Cinnamon rolls are a sweet tooth delight. I wish I could take a dozen home with me so I can make the dish last just as long as the memories.. lol I would certainly come back and will do my best to keep it a secret so the locals can dine in peace.

For the most part, we have been very satisfied with our orders and have consistently left tips to show our appreciation for the baristas and their service. However, in late December, before driving to Ronan, we stopped at Sable shortly after 7:20 p.m. We ordered two drinks, both of which were bitter and burned...completely undrinkable. We did not notice immediately, as we picked up dinner at Frugal's and left our drinks for the drive home. By the time we realized the drinks were spoiled, it was too late to return before Sable closed at 8 p.m., and we had to discard them. That evening, I contacted management with a brief, polite message including the time of our visit and the exact drinks ordered. I did not request a refund; I simply inquired whether the drinks could possibly be remade in the future. I received no response, acknowledgment, or follow-up. While I understand the need to guard against potential scams, I can easily demonstrate our consistent patronage and spending at Sable over the years. It was disappointing that my courteous attempt to communicate was entirely ignored.

It's the kind of space that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. We tried the salted caramel cream cold brew (a bit sweet for me) and the dark roast brewed coffee, which tasted a little lighter than expected for a dark roast but was served piping hot - just how I like it. Service was great- friendly and efficient and the overall vibe makes it a spot I'd definitely return to. Maybe I'll try one of the lattes next time!
