This place was packed on a Friday night. The man handling drinks and host duties was on it. We had…read morea bit of a wait to get seated at the bar, but understandable on a packed night. Husband and I split the 3 meat plate (although we were tempted by the special-beef ribs on mashed potatoes). We had brisket (good and my favorite), pork ribs (fall off the bone good and tasty), pork belly (hubby said it was good since it isn't my thing). For our sides we had collard greens (we fought over those they were so good), bacon Mac (creamy and smokey), and corn bread (so glad we each had our own serving of that or there would have been bloodshed). That cornbread was the best I have had at a restaurant in ages. Staff were on it. They were personable and friendly. Kitchen staff--wow. It was awesome to watch the magic and teamwork happening in the very small wizard's workshop. Thank you for the great night and the leftovers.

So, I really don't know why people come here. Maybe we got unlucky but let's run it from the start…read more Upon entering, the place does look very cool. It almost feels like you're in a mineshaft or an antique store, which I thought was awesome. We are immediately greeted with a very friendly smile and told there were seats at the bar (the restaurant was packed, another good sign). A few minutes go by and we're still standing at the check-in, and another couple comes in. They are greeted in the same way, offered seats at the bar, and are thusly ushered to their seats... while we were still standing there. Okay, few more minutes go by and we call out the table that was just cleaned, and we get seated. The menu looks phenomenal, and we ended up getting the meat combo to try everything. This is where it gets even worse. The barbecue itself took a while to get to our table, which would be fine if it wasn't cold. Yes, you heard correctly, the barbecue was all cold. Baked beans had to have been Bush's. Potato salad and Mac was good, same with the cornbread. But the main things we paid $60 for were cold. The ribs were beyond burnt, and the brisket was tough. Oh, and the single sausage we got was slathered in mustard and barbecue sauce, come to think of it everything on the plate was slathered in barbecue sauce. Usually not a good sign lol. I really wish I could say nicer things about this place but I unfortunately cannot recommend it to anyone. But hey, they're packed so maybe that's just the quality of the food around Kalispell. Great Food Indoor and outdoor seating…read moreIncredible beer menu We made a stop here late in the day for some food and we were shocked how FANTASTIC the food was. Rarely do you find a spot that has great beer and great food, but Backslope does both But if you read my reviews, you know I like to steer you through the menu, at least what we tried. Foreman's Stout - full bodied, delicious. Ginger/Lemonade - refreshing, sooooo GOOD. House Fries - sliced as chips, but so good. Hummus - great consistency, but needed some citrus to finish it off. Still good, but I am picky about hummus. Tzatziki sauce - incredible, delicious, get this. Pecan Salad with Chicken - HOLY SMOKES, my wife loved this dish. She made me come back another time just so she vould have it again. Gyro Platter - light on the chicken, but really delicious. It was enough for two or more meals. Gyro - so full I could not fit it into my mouth. But enough for two. Really great find,

Stopped in because of the high rating on yelp. At first, however I was not too sure I made the…read moreright decision because it took quite a while for the server to take an order from me. It might have been because it was some sort of a trivia night and they seemed quite busy with a regular crowd that was there. However, I did stay and I ended up ordering the ginger bowl 2.0 along with a hummus plate and I was very, very surprised as how good it all was. In fact "excellent " tells it all. I would definitely come back just for those two selections alone. Not at all what I would've expected in a "bar" in Columbia Falls, Montana. Some Asian choices, some Middle Eastern choices, some American choices on the menu and more. I was very impressed with just the two that I got so I want to come back and try again. The ambience was rather an open environment, wood chairs, wood tables, no booths, but comfortable and had more of that "bar" feel to it but there were kids there so families were welcome

I went here because it was right next to the hotel I stayed at…read more I went in not even knowing what was there food wise. I walked in there and it looked like a burger place. The place was basically empty with maybe 2 families. I decided on getting a burger and dr pepper. Then I went to order my food and the service was good. I then went to the soda fountain to get dr pepper and then I looked over and saw there was vanilla creamer. And if you know me I love dirty soda so of course I put the vanilla creamer in the dr pepper and it was good. Then I sat down and waited and after 2 minutes the food got there. I then took a bite of my burger and if I'm going to be honest the buns tasted dryer than the Sahara desert. But besides that the food was good. I then had to go to the bathroom and I saw their rewards on the wall on the way there. The bathrooms were nice I guess. Also the vibes of the restaurant were actually really good for a American fast food place with the pink, blue, and white. Overall good burger place

I am not from the area and had never heard of or seen this chain before so I decided to stop here…read moreand grab lunch. I tried the beast mode sandwich, large fries, cheese curds and of course a Huckleberry shake. This is the first fast food place I have ever been to where I actually liked the fries more than the cheese curds. The curds were a bit oily for me, but the fries were well cooked and salted and had a great flavor on their own... I didn't even need to use the sauce they provided. The chick had a light huckleberry flavor that was nice and the sandwich was definitely hefty. It tasted good and I liked the way they layered the meat and cheese. My meal was around $25 so I don't know how "frugal" they are, but I know I got a lot of specialty items so I understand. Service was good, but slow. The young woman who served me was lovely but the wait was longer than expected. I would definitely stop by this chain again and I'm glad I got to try them.
