December 30,2019: I arrived at 8 pm on time but waited 20 minutes. I was directed to a room by Cindy. First off, I am accustomed to answering a questionnaire regarding my name and any health issues. That's necessary for any licensed establishment, apparently this is not their concern. I was so ready for a relaxing massage so I went ahead with my appointment. Cindy asked if I wanted light or heavy massage. I told her light and avoid my right shoulder because I have a torn rotator cuff and is arthritic. She did not use light touch as requested. Issue number 1: I could not see but I felt Cindy use her nail digging into my skin on pressure points, it was painful and sensitive and I winced and groaned each time she applied this technique! Number 2: Cindy suddenly stops and opens the door, loudly speaks in Mandarin/Cantonese to another "therapist" in the hallway. It is not professional! Number 3: Cindy was not mindful of my right shoulder issue! She took my right arm placing it behind my back! I felt the pain immediately to my shoulder area! Next day I woke up with excruciating pain in my right arm and shoulder that froze. I was seen by ER physician who prescribed pain meds and today is the 4th day since the massage session. I'm still reeling from the pain and this has caused a major setback for my wellness. I wish I could leave a great review but sadly I have to be very honest with my experience. This is my first time writing a review and I do hope the manager and Cindy are alerted to this and correct the issues I have noted. Leaving 1 star for the hot stones. read more

I bought the groupon for a full body massage and it was a horrible experience. First of all, the massage was done for most part with an elbow and excessive power that left me all bruised. Second, when I was 10 min into massage, one of the employees started heating cabbage in a microwave. There was sickening smell of boiled cabbage everywhere for the next hour. Couldn't wait to escape that place. Highly NOT Recommended. Another minus- staff barely speaks English Another minus - lobby doesn't exist, no sitting area at all. You just face the curtain that covers 3 massage chairs immediately when you open the front door. read more

I come here all the time but today was my last time coming to this establishment. I have used all my groupons so I called the lady on the front desk, she said that she will give me the Groupon price plus my student discount. In total it should have been $55.50 but once the massage was over, she said that she never told me that and the total was 74.00 after hassling with her I decided to pay it so I could leave. I left a $20 tip but the lady said no no that it was to low that I needed to tip more. She would not let me leave until i gave a bigger tip . Never again will I be coming here . read more

AMAZING!!!! Professional. Friendly. Clean. Quiet music and water sounds. The ladies were very nice. I was in room 5. Nice table, clean and relaxing. My massage was amazinggggggg!!!! Seriously! She knew where my body hurt without me telling her. She worked and worked on my right side. I felt sooo much better walking out. The plus was the hot stones, such a nice touch. Faaaaabulous. I hobbled in because of a really sore back and Cindy worked her magic with a deep tissue massage. I usually leave a massage wishing they'd done different strokes or more pressure, but this was amazing. Perfect pressure, and she worked the spots I told her were bothering me. Then she brought out some hot stones and the heat did wonders gliding over my back. Clean, easy parking, quiet, and relaxing. Excellent massage! This was my first time ever getting a massage longer than 15 minutes and I look forward to my next visit. I got the 60 minute full body massage and they were able to get me started right away, no wasted time for me. You can book online easily too! This is an average of the 2 times I have gone to this business. I liked the ability to book and online straight forward and easy to do. The first time the experience was OK (note my back was fairly stiff and I was in desperate need of a massage). The end of the session is the issue, I paid with cash and before I could count the money to ensure I had paid the correct amount the owner grabbed the money and held it in her hands when I asked her to let me count it out she said it was fine it covered the full amount. Ok, maybe I overpaid maybe I didn't ...who knows .... Second visit again at the end of the session (no cash I paid with my credit card, I learned my lesson) I left a tip and the owner asked for more money. Geezzz really, I tipped fairly for the service I received. And the second visit massage was just 'OK' not great, $90 for 2 hours it is a deal. read more

I'm a fan of a regular massage. This little place down the road from Rossmoor in Walnut Creek hit the spot. I heard about it recently so decided to give it a try when I had business in the area. The major plus factor is that everyone understands and speaks English pretty good. Another plus factor is they and the women that work there have licenses. Price was reasonable -- $45 for a hone hour massage if you paid cash. It would be $50 if you used a credit card. I can see why some would give it five star and I may just do that if I go back. They have a shower and the place is clean and they change the linens after each customer. Give it a try.. read more

Very clean n quiet place with ample parking. On line booking saves time n keeps plans intact. Emily is experienced in locating my painful spots n even able to cure from the source. The massage was rough and rushed !!! Not professionally done...not relaxing at all. While trying to relax the phone was ringing as a business does, but my masseuse kept answering the phone and massaging me at the same time. Then moments later, left me to process a payment. This is not the place for a relaxing evening and taking your mind off of a days work. I work to hard to spend my $$$ money here. Today, my usual therapist was not available and I had a recent injury. When I made an appointment online, I didn't choose a staff member, but wrote in the notes that I needed someone who could be gentle but effective. I walked out two hours later a new person. been here before and had a great experience but this time not so much. the woman i had could not have communicated with me worse. i told her to not use her elbow over my spinal cord- because my spinal cord is very fragile and hurt. she kept going over it repeatedly. her touch was the most uncomfortable experience i've ever felt. it was a very fast, staccato like motion that felt like windshield wipers on my back. the whole time she was barely even penetrating my skin. my body was just rubbed with oil and when she did my back, it was just the whole back at once, as she never focused on one part. i had to ask her to focus on certain parts of my back after going over it for not even 5 minutes. but then it was just the back and forth movement all over again. she never flipped me over to do the tops of my legs and started counting down the time. this was all because i was trying to correctly guide her how i wanted my back to "be massaged". this did not feel like a massage. at all. i am now stiff, sad, and in pain. i am very disappointed and dissatisfied. i left feeling worse than i came in and hurt. i will not be returning and it's a shame that she is going to be working on other people who have pain like me. not to mention when I paid for the service I still gave a tip not to be rude. well, the look of the woman's face was HORRENDOUS knowing I could've given her a larger tip. I've never cried so much in public. I am traumatized. Never again, plus one spa. Stick to certified massage therapists in the future. they actually know what they're doing. read more

My friend bought us one hour massages from Groupon and we got appointments for the day we wanted. Today was our appointment day. We were escorted to our rooms right away. The massage therapist worked mostly on my back but included my arms, legs, feet, hands, and neck. She also spent a few minutes on my head and face. Overall a little more on the rough side but I felt great after. Sheets were clean and smelled nice. Towels she placed to wipe off the excess lotion at the end were rough but warm. Overall a nice experience and would definitely go back. You definitely get more for your money here. read more

The masseuses and all employees here are morons and idiots. They don't understand what you are saying to them and not listen to any instruction you provides them. Just like other customers who provided their review, if you told them to concentrate on your legs, they will respond to a "yes" but will ignore it completely. So, if you have some issues on your knees and told them not to touch it or massage it, you're screwed! read more

I've been looking for a proper full-body massage around Walnut Creek and now I've found it. I've been to Plus One twice and both visits were good experiences. I do a lot of bike riding, so my legs and back get extremely sore. My masseuse was really good about listening to where I need help and working on that area of my body. read more

Cindy has worked on me a couple of times and I notice such a great difference in how much better I feel. Cindy offers a truly great deep tissue massage. I was feeling quite a bit of tenseness in the neck and shoulder area and after reading a few reviews on a few options, chose Plus One Spa. First, unlike many places, parking is easy and free. That's a plus. My masseuse was Emily. Very experienced and tended to focus on the knots and areas that were tight and needed attention. She used the right amount of pressure as I asked for deep tissue. She also made sure to let me know that if the pressure was too great to let her know. Very happy and satisfied that I chose Plus One. Loved my first massage with Cindy! Visiting with family in Lafayette and Plus One Spa was recommended highly. I was anxious to go again before I left and scheduled an appointment with Cindy online. When I arrived for my appointment Cindy greeted me and said Sophia would be doing my massage. I said I had requested her but she said she needed to tend the phone. Sophia was very sweet and kept asking if I was OK. She didn't have the same knowledge of the body as Cindy . I felt like it was more of a body rub. The treatment rooms were clean and soothing, the massages were relaxing and deep enough to loosen knots--pressure adjusted to our comfort. And the price!! So reasonable. A "you get what you pay for" experience. At 2:50, I arrived 10 minutes early for my 3:00 massage and waited at the front desk for 5 or so minutes until a woman came out and snapped at me, "why did you arrive so early, no one is available for you!" Okay... I waited... at 3:00, no sign of any masseuse. At 3:10 an employee came out and appeared surprised to see me sitting there, went in the back again, and 5 minutes later came out Nina, the same woman who had snapped at me for arriving early. She led me to my room and I changed. After 10 MINUTES of waiting on the table to see if she was going to come back, I was just about to get up and change back into my clothes when she returned. We're now 30 minutes past our initial appointment time. The massage itself was the poorest massage I've had. The cherry on top of this experience was when Nina literally ran out of the room to answer the phone, and left the door open... $65 for a 90 minute massage but save yourself the stress and just pay more for a higher end massage. I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with my 60 minute massage by Cindy. Plus one has very clean and comfortable private rooms with sheets that smell like fresh laundry. The heating pads on the massage tables are a nice touch. Cindy made sure I was comfortable with the temperature of the room as well as the massage pressure. This is the best quality massage I've found at such an affordable price. Cindy located my knots and took time to work them out instead of just moving through a standard progression.
