Melissa is amazing! She has a super cool, down-to-earth energy that instantly puts you at ease. The massage was so relaxing and I felt great afterwards. I will definitely be back! And very fair pricing! read more

Melissa is hands down the best! I have been seeing her for over 7 years! My husband and I love her and try to make it habit to see her as often as time will allow. Many of my friends and co-workers have gone to her as well. I don't even need to tell her she just knows!!! Years and years of experience shows just in one visit. I searched high and low for a massage therapist and am so thankful to find someone I can count on EVERY-TIME. read more

I had a great experience with Melissa. Scheduling was easy, very clean / relaxing atmosphere, and she did an outstanding job loosening up my neck and lower back. Highly recommend her, with no hesitation and will be a repeat customer. read more

Highly recommend to anyone looking to get a great massage. My wife and I went today and it was amazing. She only does 1 person at a time but that was really nice as it was quiet and relaxing vs a place that had many people walking around outside the rooms. We also really liked how Melissa had us fill out a form first that asks us about our bodies. I found this awesome and super helpful to show areas where I was super tight and wanted her to focus on. Most massage places we go to just seat us and don't ask us any questions. We also thought she applied the right amount of pressure and was able to focus on areas she felt that we were tight. We'll definitely be going back! read more

Im very comfortable with Melissa, she is very professional and personable. I've never had a masseuse that was better and more effective with her technique. She can sense or feel which muscle needs what amount of attention to get it working the way it's best. I recently had the raindrop therapy treatment. It was AMAZING. The combination of essential oils and massage was just perfection. Melissa is so personable, professional, efficient and thoughtful. She really guides you in the purpose of the treatment. Her technique WORKS. It 's not superficial, it really gets to the root of the spasm/issue. I cannot wait to book my next appointment. Thank you Melissa! read more

Just got home from a "Let it Go - Stress Relief" massage with Melissa, and I'm already scanning my personal calendar to go again. I was able to get a very last minute massage (booked last night, and she confirmed last night). I start work tomorrow and thought this would be a great way to enjoy my last day of freedom. You should be aware that if you get directions from google, you may be taken to another business with a similar name. That happened to me, but I still made it to Danville Massage. Be sure to plug in the address from your appointment confirmation email :) The massage room is very cozy with soft carpets and soft sheets. The ambient music is relaxing and not at all distracting. The essential oils are top notch and completely relaxing. Melissa's intake process is very easy and she focuses on what you need worked on. I have major back and shoulder tightness and stress, and after today's session, I feel about 2 inches taller and like I can move easily in all directions. Definitely going back again! read more

I recently had some cosmetic surgery which resulted in a complication. I called Melissa at Danville Massage to inquire if she could help me by giving me a lymphatic massage. I wish I would have done it SOONER! Just one massage with essential oils and I already notice a difference. It was a wonderful experience and the health benefits were noticeable THE SAME DAY! So awesome to relief from the pressure on my face and neck. I've already scheduled another. Thank you Melissa for being so careful and taking such good care of me! PLUS, I left smelling "delicious" with all the raindrop essential oils used in the rest of my body! read more

Loved Melissa's personality and she gave a great massage. I don't usually take time for self care but it was well worth it.

Can I put more stars than 5? This is a very late post. Melissa is absolutely wonderful! Let me say that it wasn't the same place I thought was on Hartz St but I'm glad because I got such a personalized massage the first and second time. I need to book for more! She is amazing and made me feel so comfortable with covid keeping me away from getting my monthly massages for almost 2 years. I'm glad I stumbled into this cute place. read more

I had two maternity massages here and they were both AMAZING! The location/ambiance is quaint, relaxing and positive. Melissa is friendly, warm and professional. Melissa is awesome. She is super sweet, very professional and puts your mind and body at ease. I tend to hold in stress and it lands in my shoulders and neck and stays there. I'm awful at listening to my body. Melissa is amazing at bringing awareness to the places I need to pay attention to. She is strong and gentle at the same time. She has a kindness and purity about her that brings you peace while in her presence. I highly recommend Danville Massage to everyone and anyone looking for pain relief, relaxation and a peaceful feeling that comes from Melissa's healing hands and spirit. She's a 10/ 10! read more

I went to see Melissa after moving. I was sore from head to toe, and my lower back was a mess. Melissa used a combination of traditional massage, Thai and pressure points/ shiatsu to completely relieve all my aches and pains. She had a real understanding of anatomy and function. I've had many (many!) massages over the years-- Thai, Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, etc.-- but this was one of the best I've ever had. I've never relaxed so deeply! My lower back has been a problem area for years. (Runs in the family. Thanks ancestors!) When I came in, I could barely stand up straight. When I left, I felt like a new person! Try hot stone and aromatherapy. Heavenly! read more

Got a massage a while back but forgot to review after! I received an aromatherapy massage from Melissa. I did not know too much about essential oils going into the massage; but she picked a blend which was divine. It was incredibly relaxing! She reminded me to breathe deeper and relax through the massage (which was very helpful to me as I tend to stay in my head and distracted) and I have never been so relaxed. She was able to draw the soreness and tightness out of all of my muscles which needed it most. Would definitely recommend! read more

Wonderful. Melissa listened to what type of massage I needed due to injury, but also incorporated a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Massage therapist are everywhere, but a truly gifted one is often hard to find, and Melissa is that gem. read more

I had my first massage today. Melissa is amazing. I have been to many massage places in the past. Unlike other massage places, it is clear that she stays current with the latest technology! Her use of the Theragun (percussion therapy) was fantastic. I got immediate relief from shoulder pain that a manual massage with hands and elbows would not have worked. In addition, the Theragun doesn't hurt like someone given you a deep tissue massage! I highly recommend and will be back regularly. read more

Melissa is absolutely amazing. She is so knowledgable and thorough. I travel a lot and one of the things I look forward to when I come home is another session with Melissa. I highly recommend her. read more

Melissa is beyond wonderful. I now know why she has so many 5-star ratings. I had found her on Yelp and called last Friday hoping the morning appointment I saw open on her calendar the day before was still open. Unfortunately, it wasn't. She offered to phone me if she had a cancellation the next day, but I was only in that area that Friday and wouldn't be back the next day. I hung up disappointed, but about half an hour later, she phoned me back asking if I could come at 1. I happily accepted and puttered around downtown for a while until it was time to go in. It wasn't until after we hung up that I realized she's supposed to close shop at 1! When I arrived for my first appointment with the lovely Melissa, I asked her about that. Her response? "I could just tell in your voice that you really needed a massage today." Wow! That was impressive, considerate, and generous of her to rearrange her day to fit me in! I originally wanted a raindrop therapy session (my first), but after explaining to her that I am trying to conceive, we decided to wait on the raindrop therapy (some of the essential oils in raindrop are not advised for pregnant women). Instead, she gave me an amazing relaxing massage (relaxation = better chance of conception!) and incorporated other oils into a Raindrop-Swedish hybrid massage. She found my usual tense spots, tense spots I didn't know I had, and applied her knowledge of vitaflex points for fertility and to clear some congestion I was having. She also went over on time at no extra charge because she felt I needed it! I felt so at ease with her, and after just one session with her, I feel like she already knew what I needed without saying much. If I'm ever back in the area again, I am definitely going to see her! read more

Danville is so fortunate to have Melissa and Danville Massage right in the heart of downtown. Her studio is lovely, relaxing and beautiful. You can see her personal touches on every inch. However her skills as a massage therapist are what inspired me to give her a yelp review. Massage is a special treat for me...I don't do it very often....so when I do, I want my therapist to be responsive to my personal needs. She asks great questions, makes adjustments as needed. She asks you what scents you prefer rather than just choosing for you. She's definitely extremely skilled at her work and what's more, she's a warm wonderful person that just makes you feel happy to be there. Mothers Day is a week away....I know what's on MY list! read more

Melissa cured me of a debilitating shoulder pain. I'd hurt the shoulder and in one session Melissa helped me to recover my shoulder mobility. I absolutely loved the Sudatonic treatment I just had with Melissa. A full body massage with amazing smelling lotions while on a warm bed. Once the lotions are on you are wrapped up like a burrito in a heated blanket. You sweat out the toxins and know you are giving your body a special treat. Once out of the embrace of the cocoon your skin feels silky smooth. I will certainly be back. Thank you, Melissa!!! read more

I hesitate writing this review...only because Melissa will get so much business it'll be hard to get an appointment! Actually, I have no hesitation. After a month of looking for a new massage therapist because mine moved out of town, I found Melissa and I'm so grateful. I had such a great massage I fell asleep at the end. I got extra goodies - essential oils and hot stone...ahhhhh. Melissa offers the whole package - reasonable prices, skillful massage, knowledge of the body, and great personality too! read more

I've been to Danville Massage a couple of times and have had amazing results after both visits. Melissa has the perfect touch, a balance between relaxing and therapeutic. She understands the human anatomy and took her time focusing on my injuries explaining to me the benefit of her technique and educating me on how I can help prevent future injuries through stretching and rolling techniques. Her studio is warm and welcoming and in the perfect location. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more
