We consider the cause being that it was late (7pm appointment), they might be tired, etc... But, if that is the case, DO NOT TAKE APPOINTMENTS UNTIL 9pm. I would suggest going earlier in the day, or possibly trying a different masseuse. My Mom's Experience: Appointment with Cindy, 60 minute Deep Tissue Massage. (May2024, early afternoon) After the massage when checking out, my mom was going to give a $15 tip. Whoever was receiving her payment insisted, "No, for this service you tip $20". &stated so several times, because my mom thought she misheard. She tipped the $20, walked out. After a relaxing massage, this would have put me in a bad mood. But, my mom enjoyed it so much, she said she'd be back and next time schedule a longer time. I don't like interactions like this. If you want us to tip you a certain amount, just put it into the service cost and state "Tip is built into the cost of the service", and that be the end of it. The massage: As I said, my mom was completely happy with her service. She said that the deep tissue was too much for her. With these last 2 experiences by my family, I don't know that I would recommend Cindy again to friends. I hope these instances are just flukes. But, if you are not consistent in the way you treat people or how you perform your services, how do you expect people to want to come back? So, I am conflicted about this business. When you walk into her office you…read moreknow you're in a space where healing happens, when you talk to her about what's going on with your pain and/or stress points, you immediately know that she understands the body and the best way to approach the massage therapy. I've had a few massages in my life, but this... I walked out of her office floating. Definitely the best massage I've ever had, or ever could have. And as a bonus, she's a great listener and offers some pretty insightful thoughts on life in general. Overall, I give Stacey a 10.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 and would never consider going anywhere else.

I mentioned a few times that I preferred light pressure, yet it still felt painful rather than relaxing. At checkout, I did leave a tip, but it seemed like it wasn't considered enough. The staff looked at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable, and my mom ended up tipping more afterward. The situation felt awkward and embarrassing, and I didn't appreciate feeling pressured about tipping. I understand tipping is customary, but it should feel voluntary, especially when the service itself wasn't relaxing for me. Because of this experience, I won't be returning.

The negatives that impacted the experience: - There's only a curtain separating each massage table so you can hear everything - everything as in the person beside you breathing in and out, and grunts of natural noises a person might make, what the massage person and client are saying to each other, which means it's vice versa. - The bathroom must be very close to the rooms as I must have heard the toilet flush at least 7 times during my visit and hear the door open, close, could hear toilet seat covers being teared off too. If it wasn't a massage where you senses are heightened due to having your head down and eyes closed, these sounds might not have bothered me, but they were interruptions that got in the way of me completely relaxing. I would have loved to go back because the massage itself was very good, but I don't want to deal with the negatives mentioned above again.

You know it's a good massage when you start to doze off and fall asleep (maybe a few times lol). She was gentle with my body as I am 33 weeks pregnant, but kept checking in about the level of pressure which I appreciated. Her prices are also hard to beat!! and I don't feel like I'm comprising any part of the massage. I will definitely be back to see Crystal.
