I have had my fair share of massages and none of them compare to the ones from Rieko. She doesn't have a massage "menu"... she listens to what you say are your concerns, then proceeds to listens to your body. She doesn't have a routine, she treats the person. She's also just a genuinely kind, friendly, and easy person to be around. After seeing her regularly for two years, I trust her completely with my care. Some days I ask for lymphatic drainage, others I just leave to her to read my body. I also appreciate how passionate she is, she often goes to workshops in Japan to better her craft. Cannot recommend her enough - she is exceptional at what she does and is an absolute gem of a person!! Rieko was amazing! I'm 31 weeks pregnant and went in for a prenatal massage. Prior to getting undressed we discussed areas of concern/ what I'm seeking. This didn't feel like your typical massage. Felt like a PT and massage session combined in one - but in the best way!!! Every step that she did, she would walk me through what she's doing and what felt tense, what can be done at home or work to continue finding relief. She's incredibly knowledgeable in what she does which is truly reassuring! The space is located in Sola Salons - just an fyi when I was using Apple Maps for direction, it led me to the other side of the shopping complex (maybe it's just me and pregnancy brain lol) so I was a little late to my appt but she was so understanding. Hello, location is not conducive for a relaxing massage. You can hear the businesses next to you. Reiko says she uses Japanese and American techniques. She does listen to your specific needs and designs a massage for those needs. However, the problem and danger are in her execution. At first I thought I was getting a massage that was very unique, but as she continued I started to question her ability. She has a very heavy hand and pressure but she is careless, abusive, and uses her technique to hurt you. She was frenetic and abusive with the stones and used them in areas that were sensitive and hurt me. I told her she was hurting me but she giggled instead and continued. When she finished she walked out and told me to get dressed, and I thought she left the room so when I raised from the massage bed I realized she was still there. It made me uncomfortable. When I got home, I researched the Japanese and American techniques that she used and realized that she was not following those techniques properly and was using her own unnecessary methods and strength to hurt and abuse my body. I've had many a massage in many countries and I've never experienced anything so haphazard and dangerous with what she is doing. I would not recommend her and if you go to her, I would be very careful about her method , experience and even certification. read more

I first started seeing Reiko in 2022 when I was struggling with ongoing muscle pain. From the beginning, it was clear she wasn't a typical massage therapist. She took the time to really understand what I was dealing with and worked thoughtfully with my body over several sessions. At the time, I wasn't very consistent with self-care, and once I started feeling better, I stopped going. In 2025, I found myself dealing with a new set of challenges--gastrointestinal issues, leg swelling, and back pain. Despite multiple tests, everything kept coming back "normal," which was frustrating both for me and my doctors. I remembered how much Reiko had helped me before and went searching for her again after losing her contact information. When we reconnected, our conversations went beyond just physical symptoms. We talked about stress, its impact on the body, and how it might be contributing to what I was experiencing. I started regular sessions with her, and by the second session, I noticed significant improvement in my back pain and leg swelling. Reiko also introduced me to Tao Touch, a technique that focuses on the connection between stress--especially in the stomach--and overall health. I decided to commit to it, and after more than 10 sessions, the changes have been meaningful. My digestive issues are under control, the swelling is gone, my back pain has resolved, and I feel much more confident about my health overall. I'm no longer bouncing from appointment to appointment trying to find answers. What stands out most about Reiko is her genuine focus on my well-being. Never in my life had I gone in for a massage. I was suffering quite a bit from muscle tension and had some sciatica in the past. I do run a lot and decided to give massage therapy a try. After some searching it was clear that Rieko had very high marks so I made an appointment. Rieko took the time to talk with me about my concerns, was patient and gathered the correct information during my intake. Over the course of the massage she explained the muscles and connectivity and spent the full session relieving tension and explaining how I can also do movements and activities at home to keep the muscles relaxed. Recently re-visited Rieko for a 90-minute session. I had not been stretching or exercising for a while so I was feeling really tight and tense. Also did some lifting that triggered a muscle ache in my neck, upper back and shoulder area. After the session was feeling lighter more flexible and had more freedom of movement and less discomfort. Rieko is kind, patient and very knowledgeable about various massage treatments as well as the anatomy of the body.
