James is very knowledgeable on how muscle works with each other. I started getting treatments from him around the end of 2019 for lower back pain. By early 2020, my lower back pain improved. However, due to Covid 19, I didn't see him again until this October. This time, I have persistent pain on the lower left side of my body and leg. As usual, James doesn't just work on where the pain is, he always wants to find the cause of it. He convinced it is caused by the right side. After several weeks of treatments, I can already feel the improvement. Past couple weeks, he have me do light PT exercises and stretches at home and it has helped to hold the adjustments. Where do I even begin?! James is a life saver. Let me say it again... LIFE. SAVER. Last year, i fractured my tibia. I was on and off crutches for months until the doctors confirmed that the fracture had enough time to heal. Through out the duration of 8 months, James worked with me to ensure my body was in alignment and that my muscles were working together appropriately. Even though the doctors had confirmed that my fracture had enough time to heal, I was still limited on what I could do. I had to be conscious of the amount I was walking and struggled to do the most basic workouts, due to the pressure and sharp shooting pains in my knee. The doctors contributed this to muscle weakness, but when i got a body scan done, the muscle mass in my legs were almost identical. I was frustrated. I was in pain. Not the way I wanted to feel at 25! James researched what was occurring and provided me with a few exercises to help with the recovery. Within a month of doing the exercises he suggested and seeing him on a regular basis, my knee was "fixed". I no longer experience sharp shooting pains, I picked up CrossFit and have not been limited on completing the workout. I would say 99.99% of the time, I forget that I even had an injury. James has been able to help me more with alignment and body movements in the last year than I have ever experienced with a chiropractor or massage therapist. I have been working with James at Schemata Bodywork for about 2 months now and I could not be more pleased with the results that I am seeing. I am a 27 year old athletic male and I started seeing James because of persistent lower back pain due to a long commute and poor posture at work. I was not really looking for a new therapist, and I had given up on finding someone that would hit all the points on my check list.
