Found these guys years ago and they were amazing. Over the course of the last six months things have changed I guess they're going through new management? Ok get this: I have a lot of rental properties and do a lot of remodeling/construction. I've used these guys for all of my rentals for clogs, as well as fixing various plumbing issues. Today I was helping a friend -78-year-old woman who is almost blind. I made the appointment as always. When they asked if I was a home owner, I said no but here she is and she spoke with them. I just asked them to give me a courtesy call before they arrived for the appointment the following day to make sure I could help. Because she could not see and didn't know what the issue was. Of course they didn't call and she called me in a panic saying I don't know what to tell him. So I told her to have the tech call me and I walked him through it. When I called the office to ask and explain Why they didn't call me first? they transferred me to a manager who then informed me that my account would be flagged as a commercial account and charge $240 per clog cleaning? Uhm.??? They see I have numerous accounts. all my rentals and they decided that because I complained that they didn't give me a call to help out a 78 year blind woman they would practice business this way? The workers are good the management needs help. They also charge not per hour but per job which is very expensive to the average homeowner so please shop around Update: I just got off the phone with Lee. He is one of the managers. After our conversation he understood where I was coming from and help clear the air. He is going to speak with Chris to make sure that they are on the same page moving forward. Whatever you do, do NOT use plumbline for electrical. They are completely incompetent regarding electrical.

These guys are horrible. They advertise that they are available 24/7, but they never seem to be able to dispatch a technician within the first 2 weeks. Please take it off your website or hire enough staff. I've tried to use these guys two or three times because they are highly placed in Google. read more

Made an appointment and was quite surprised get one so quickly. Tuesday 1-5. Got a call at 3:30 on Tuesday saying they weren't going to make it and we would have to reschedule. Not too thrilled that my appointment wasn't important enough to at least get made a priority the next day. I guess I'm calling elsewhere. New service was installed. They did not clean up, I had shards of metal on the floor, not good, especially when you have a new kitten. They called me to schedule my first appointment. I called and said I was returning their call, they sent me to voicemail. Can I move my warranty? read more

So, my disabled elderly mother needed 2 Toilets replaced. I had purchased the toilets from Home Depot, plumbline services charged her $1500 for two toilet replacements on a ranch level home. They got the work done in about an hour, $1500 for one hours labor. Ridiculous read more

Save yourself frustration. I had them replace my water heater based on an inspector's recommendation...only to find out that inspector was on their company board. Talk about conflict of interest! The water heater they installed was not efficient and when I asked them why I didn't get a more efficient one, I was told no water heater is going to be rated on the efficient side. I let it go...only to find out my neighbors, who didn't use them by the way, got their water heaters replaced and theirs were rated efficient. Ugh! I too was way ripped off initially (e.g. cost was astronomical), but was able to negotiate a more reasonable. but still way more than I should have paid price for what I got. BTW, to make it even worse, when the county inspector came in, it failed inspection and they had to come back to fix it. My overall experience was all around thumbs down. They even sent me some of their coffee mugs and treats...of course I just threw them away. read more

We called in for an estimate and were told estimates were free. The technician arrived on schedule but as soon as he did the diagnosis he asked if they had told us about the $50 estimate fee and became very rude after we indicated that three different people told us it was free when we set up the appointment. From there he estimated what should have been a $300 job at almost double the price then tried to push us into doing the work right away, and then hinted it would be best if we just replaced our whole system because of the age. To his benefit I do know the age is around 13 years old however, we just wanted to get it operational without paying out our tail ends. What a joke!!!!! I called them June 5th for service on my air conditioner. TODAY is AUGUST 1st and they called to tell me they had time to fix my air conditioner now. Isn't that nice of them now that summer is over! Glad I didn't wait for them and had another company fix it on the same day I needed it done back on June 5th! And then they have had the nerve to call me 4 times over past 2 weeks and leave messages that they are trying to get ahold of me to schedule. I have used Plumbline for years and have great results. However during this latest subzero weather event our furnace went out. The technician that came was extremely unprofessional, inexperienced and only interested in selling a new heating system. He wouldn't even check our system because it is an older unit. I waited 5 hours for a service call and 2 hours for the operation manager to tell me it was my vault for not listening to the sales pitch by the technician. I have a "VIP" membership which appears to not be honored if you are not willing to spend money on the upgrades that are recommended. The technician and the company left us in the bitter cold. They did a fine job, but it was extraordinarily expensive. My job should have cost around $500; instead, it cost $1000. Update since the reply from the vendor: I did get an upfront estimate; it was ridiculous but I really needed to get the work done quickly, so I told them to go ahead. I can't really recommend this company to others though, because they are so overpriced. 4-5 hours of work shouldn't cost $1000! read more

They wouldn't give price on phone, only $45 trip charge and then they would give price after reviewing. $400...to service tankless water heater. $400 to run vinegar through it. I paid $99 for the VIP treatment. I called for a plumber, then I called for an electrician, and then I called for the gas tech. The plumber came in and looked at all of our plumbing and said everything was fine but we ended up fixing our own problem with a homemade snake line by pulling hair out of all the drains that were clogged. When the electrician came after unfortunately missing me several times by phone, he finally made an appearance and I wanted him to (very importantly) help me re-label my circuit breaker box because all the switches were labeled wrong and some of them still are after many trials by myself. I'm almost done with that horrible project. Actually, I had high expectations and hopes. Unfortunately, Smelling of fresh cigarettes, (yuck) he did find interest in another component of my house that I was having issues with. It was a ceiling fan that is on the same frequency as a neighbor so their remote controls my fan sometimes. He helped take it apart but, I had to put that back together when he left. I canceled the gas guy because another company came sooner and did a great job fixing my fireplace and cleaning the glass. I don't find the call-in system a professional operating system and I don't recommend this company. I will not renew my VIP membership. To be thorough; the people on the phone and in person are very nice and all but, I recommend you find another service provider who will do more than recommend how you can fix the problem yourself. I will always find it rude when I call for a service just to be cautioned of how expensive what I am asking for will be. Yes! I got that line too. I'm still looking for good service providers for my plumbing, electrical and gas line needs. Luckily nothing has gone terribly wrong in our house. I really don't like posting very negative reviews but this is one I have sat on for months. I tried talking with customer service but even that is a hassle. I see this company has plenty of public projects and maybe that's where they are best suited. Update: I found a professional service with expertise in plumbing. Look through my recent reviews to find out what company satisfied my plumbing needs. I also called Plumbline to confirm they would auto charge my card for a VIP membership renewal. I forgot how difficult the call-in system is. They don't hold your card on file so you will have to give your card information for each payment. I made the right decision not to renew my membership. I am changing my star recommendation because Ashley took my final call and complaint (she did not ask what my issue was with the service) and and answered my questions with a pleasant customer service voice and I like that. Plumline sent Chris out to our Place. He came in asked me if I had a shop vac and wanted me to do the work to empty the toilets & tub. Also it seemed when he asked if we had a crawl space and I told him it was under our house, he said ohh you dont have a basement?!? My Landlord called a Professional. He was not greeted rudely. I think one would be happy to think a company was at your rental to fix your plumming. Im just trying to figure out what are you charging for? He did no work. He wanted me to do the work. I had their service done a month ago. They told me they did a full line razoring. Prior to them doing the full line the tech said the line was fine and did need it but I went ahead and did it to be safe. A month later it is totally clogged. I called them to come back out and they said oh we only warranty for a month so we can come back but will charge you again. Takes zero responsibility for the job they did poorly. Do not use them. Way over priced. Needed a new hot water heater and they came out to quote $5000 for a 40 gallon gas water heater. I ended up doing it myself with a water heater purchased from Lowes. It took me 30 minutes once I got the water heater home and cost far less. We've had them tune-up the furnace and AC a couple of times. Each visit was coupled with an attempt to upsell us because of some dastardly thing occuring with our equipment. I don't trust them and would never recommend their service. read more

I called Plumbline out for a quote on replacing a shower valve in a shower that all the materials were provided for in advance. Within a minute of looking at it I was quoted $850.00. That's expensive for 2 hours of labor. I don't care who you are. I declined and paid their $49.00 service charge. I did the work myself after reviewing some YouTube videos and the work was done just as good. Don't waste your money with these price gouging experts. read more

I scheduled this appointment explaining that my heater is in my crawl space and that I would like to change the thermostat out if possible. I was told that there was a heater check-up price of $79.00 and I did expect an access fee of roughly about $100.00. I scheduled the appointment. When the serviceman showed up, I told him what I was looking for. I explained that per my conversation with the online rep about crawl space. He instantly states that there is an access fee because he has to get under the house with his bucket. Then he goes and looks at the access but not under the house. He tells me that the access cost will be $200 plus dollars plus the check-up fee and the thermostat will be about 450 plus. Then he starts the sale pitch that I need to buy their annual check-up it will help. The cost went from $79 to better than $800 for what the man said would be an hour worth of work. I asked the man to leave and then called the call center to speak to the supervisor explained to the phone representative about the problem. She said she would get someone then just hung up on me. I have used Plumbline before for heater checkups and they've been fine. Last year the technician was great, friendly and thorough in cleaning the furnace. This year the technician presented me with a list of repairs that would run $1700. Nothing had failed, but the inspection of the 20-year-old unit was made to sound as if it could fail at any moment. So I asked for an estimate on a new furnace. A few days later, someone came to see the current arrangement and let me know how much it would cost to replace it. He spent about ten minutes looking at the basement, then left, and never called or contacted me again. I won't work them any more. A waste of my time and, frankly, I don't trust their evaluations. read more

Avoid at all costs. This company will not respond to customer service requests. My experience was terrible with them. $50 charge for them to come out and do nothing unless you pay for a service. In my case I paid $200 for a "diagnostic" which was a 30 min inspection of my furnace unit with the technician deciding that the Inducer motor was bad. The next day, my furnace starts working for whatever reason indicating that the technician did not really inspect my furnace to find the reason it was not working the day they came to my house. They quoted me over $1000 dollars to fix my "problem" that did not even exist. Be wary of plumb line services and find a different company that you can trust. read more

We had a clogged bathroom sink drain and called Plumbline. Our technician was Mike Quarry. He showed up exactly on time after calling me to let me know that he was on his way. Mike was very professional, friendly and polite. He quickly checked the drain and proceeded to clear the clog in the line running down to the main line in the basement. While clearing the drain he ran into a problem which he quickly solved and cleared the line without any other issues. Due to the age of our house Mike also needed to replace the line running from the sink trap into the wall. He also did this quickly and with no additional charge. Mike made sure that all of my questions were answered, made sure that the drain was running free and clear and cleaned up everything under and around the sink. I would definitely call Plumbline services again and would ask to have Mike Quarry as my technician. read more

Called Plumbline to get a faucet replaced. They were supposed to have someone out between 9-1. At 1:30 there was still no plumber, so I called and the lady on the phone let me know the plumber canceled. They wanted to reschedule for another day but I told them not to bother. 20 minutes later I get a voicemail saying they found someone to come by, no admission that they made a mistake. I don't want anything for free, but when you mess up, say so. It goes a long way. Luckily TJ got the job done and was professional. These people are NOT cheap, so I'd expect better scheduling and customer service. I wish I had checked yelp first, for some reason their google reviews are a lot higher. read more

I requested quotes from 4 local companies for a furnace replacement in a small house. Plumblines quote for the bottom of the line furnace would be approx $7500.00. The price was absurdly high, between $2500-$3200 more that the other 3 companies. I do not recommend this company when looking for "value" as they were extremely overpriced! I had spoken with customer service around 11am this morning and asked if I could setup an appointment for today and asked about a window gap of 6pm-7pm. Sure, let's check the schedule and see what I can move around. Made the appointment it was confirmed. Then at approximately 641pm I received a call saying there was an emergency and I need to reschedule. Based on the reviews they always have a reason to cancel appointments. Hard pass. If you can't even make an appointment then I'm not trusting you with an installation of an AC unit. read more

We had a leak in our basement called Plumbline and they dispatched Vince R. He was great fixed the problem in no time, very professional answered all our questions. If we have any future plumbing issues we are going to request that he comes to get the job done. We were also redoing all our electrical outlets due to a few that were not working. 2 experiences. First, I needed my toilet snaked, very usual problem. First tech couldn't figure it out alone, had to call his " supervisor". Second guy came with camera and tried to up sell me into a job costing $20,000. When I said I couldn't afford it they said they'd be happy to finance it. I bet they would. Said obviously I would get bids on a big job. They tried to scare me into buying it with horror stories of raw sewage in the basement. Second, today my daughter needed the same simple job done. Called to schedule but they were very disorganized and promised to call back. She waited 4 hours, then called them back and once again was told they would call her. They never bothered to call back. In the meantime she called another plumber and he fixed the problem in 15 minutes. I'll never call them again, and neither will she. Learn from our mistakes. UPDATE !! I had Plumbline here about 7 months ago and they told me I would need a new sewer line from the house to the alley for 20 grand. Today I had Garvin's here to roto root and he said (after using a camera down the line) that the whole thing is fine, no roots at all from the yard to the alley - a few from the yard to the house but no big deal and roots can be killed with products you get at Ace Hardware. 8/9/219 Had a pinhole leak in basement water pipe Shut off water to house, cut out leak section & replaced with 6" section of copper pipe & couplings. However, we had not soldered before & could not solder the joints which were near the floor joists where we could not see well. Tried several times & could not accomplish the solder. Called Plumbline who advised the trip charge was $39 & would be waived if we accepted the repair quote & did the job. The tech was there in just over 1 hr. We showed him the section & advised all we needed was the soldering. He then proceeded to quote us a total price of $450 for what should have been a 30-45 minute job even if he re-did our work. We objected. He then offered a discount to $375 which was still outrageous. His bid included 10' of copper pipe & 4 couplings for a 6" section. We are not plumbers but we can figure this out. We objected again & said we'd consider other options. We went to Home Depot & bought Shark Bites & fixed the problem ourselves for under $20 & under 30 minutes which we should have done in the first place. So he charged us the $39 trip charge for a 15-20 minute conversation & left. Then we thought about the experience...what a business model! Charge a trip charge of $39, show up at the residence and quote an exorbitant price so the homeowner either pays the high repair charge or the trip charge. If the repair price is not accepted, the trip charge of $39 is collected 1-3x per hour with no work being done & charges collected by the tech of $1,000 - $1,100 per day (8-9 hrs. of trip charges) with no effort other than to show up. Never again with this company & we will not recommend them due to this predatory practice. read more

They were supposed to do a 22 point inspection, but informed me I needed a new furnace and showed me dust and corroded photos; I had to call them to get the results from the inspection. He stayed such a short time, it wasn't clear what he really did besides taking photos and making a list of replacement parts. Talked with their leadership and they were rude. read more

Called to have a 40 amp wire run from my cooktop to my panel box 15 feet, got quoted $1200.00, more than the new stove top!! I had three different jobs I wanted them to do, but after the quote, I asked them to leave. Won't be using them for any projects If you want to get fleeced, call them up. Obscene on their pricing. I called this plumbing company because I had a basement drain which overflowed. First I tried chat, and they agreed to call me to schedule an appointment in the morning. I waited but no phone call. Finally, I called them and again explained the issue. They agreed to call back within one hour to schedule the technician's visit to repair the problem. Guess what, no phone call. Tried calling 3 more times but each time I was disconnected after a brief recording that my call would be recorded. I gave up and called another company who immediately scheduled a technician and they actually came out 2 hours early. Don't bother calling them if you have an emergency. I tried them once before and the same company never called back. Terrible customer service. read more
