Our water heater stopped working and I had to call True Plumbing again. Hunter came out the very…read moresame day and said we had water around the bottom where the pilot light is. When we replaced it, the new one was placed directly on the basement floor with no pan or anything around it or under it. Our basement has never flooded before (in 25 years) but it looks like some water may have come in near the new water heater. I don't know why else there would be water inside the water heater at the bottom. Hunter said they can no longer honor the warranty for the water heater because of this. It seems like it should have been raised off the ground at least a couple of inches when it was installed or had a pan of some sort to protect the bottom of the water heater. But I'm not an expert on water heater installation so what do I know? Hunter got the water out with paper towels and relit the pilot light. Hooray! Hunter saved the day. I think he may have changed the setting back down to its lowest because we are running out of hot water very quickly when showering. Hopefully that's all that has been done. We keep forgetting to check it until we're freezing in the shower :)

I had had a previous bad experience with them where they charged me over $600 to run a camera to the toilet where they misdiagnosed the issue. Because I had had a negative experience with them already, I called another plumbing company to repair the gas leak - Reliable is professional and in integrity. I contacted Roger the Plumber (via text) a couple of months ago. He said he would come out but…read morenever showed and didn't text to tell me why or reschedule. My issue was not urgent so I let it go. I contacted him again late in February for the same issue. This time he showed up - around 3:30 in the afternoon. He was not able to fix my 2 broken bathroom faucets, stating he needed parts. He said he would order the parts and come back. He was able to caulk my shower while he was there. He said he used the caulk I provided but it wasn't the correct caulk. He said he would re-do it when he came back with the parts for the faucet. I paid him $40. (I got the feeling he was in a hurry to be done working for the day) When I went to look, after he left, the caulk job was TERRIBLE. It was not professional looking and to make matters worse, he got this caulk all over my glass shower (like he got some on his pants and was rubbing it off on the glass, probably without knowing, but at some point he should have noticed). I spent over an hour trying to get the caulk off the glass with Goof Off. So I still have 2 broken faucets, I have a crappy looking caulk job, and I'm out $40. And last night the shower faucet actually fell off! (he had loosened it when he was here). As of today (one month after his first visit) I have not heard from him about the "parts" he was ordering, and he has not told me when he can come back. Obviously, I have to find a new plumber.
