Whole Foods had a tiny table where we're giving out samples of the menu and that made me plan a date to grad lunch here. The combo for a burger, fries, and Honest Tea is $15, but everything was made right in front of me and was SO delicious. I didn't realize they were Vegan, so looking at their website afterwards surprised my tastebuds even more...but let me just say the sweet potato fries with maple mustard sauce is to die for. I just tried the mock chicken/oyster mushroom burger at the Plnt Burger at the Whole Foods in Silver Spring, Maryland. First, it came on a gluten free, potato starch bun which should be appreciated by those who have irreconcilable differences with wheat. I would not have known it was a special bun if I hadn't read their online menu first. I appreciated that the sandwich was made out of FOOD, not protein powder and oil. The exterior was crunchy, like I suspect fried chicken sandwich fans might want. Sadly, the "flesh", the non-crunchy portion of the oyster mushroom root didn't have any taste. Shame, shame, shame. Mushrooms absorb flavors and you can do FANTASTIC things with them. Plnt Burger did not. All in all the sandwich wasn't bad, it just didn't have much taste. On the positive side I did not feel assaulted by oil and salt as I did with the faux beef ( protein powder, oil, & miscellany ) sandwich I tried at an earlier date. If these come to be sold in the frozen food section at a reasonable price I would buy them once in a while. I really enjoyed their mandarin orange, cardamon, & turmeric drink. read more

CHEESEBURGER omg I'm addicted to this warm chewy delicious treat! I am a meat eater and the only time I like beef is in a good burger. These burgers are good enough that given the choice I would choose PLNT burger over beef. The crispy herb fries are also amazing! The prices are decent and the staff and service is always top notch. The burger was well dressed, and if you closed your eyes it would be difficult to tell the diff between a grass fed beef burger and this grass fed grass burger (what kind of plants do they use anyway? Do not order from this place on DoorDash if you're looking for a quick and easy meal. The delivery time says 42 mins, but I ordered a little after NOON and it is almost 3:30 P.M with NO food in sight. I couldn't even cancel my order (no refund) because they had been "preparing" my one burger and large fry for OVER TWO and a half HOURS. Needless to say, I expect a very cold meal. UPDATE: Order finally arrived as of 3:48 PM. NONE of the things I asked for were applied: there was no tomato - asked for that, there was mayo - asked for that to be taken off, and there were wedges instead of fries. Ordered the western cheeseburger cheeseburger, and double cheeseburger with fries and chocolate swirl. I was marveling over the taste, they nailed the likeness and flavor of real ice cream, chocolatey rich creamy, no oat taste whatsoever! Just like soft serve. The burger was tasty, crispy onions with a nice amount, bbq sauce, beyond burger juicy cooked just right, the cheddar was like cheddar. The mushroom bacon was succulent a little salty. Also The drink was a bit too sweet. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious crispy with a nice soft inside, the maple mustard was great compliment with was the perfect amount of sweet and salty to the combination. The only gripe is the price, the slogan is "Eat the change you want to see in the world" , Not everyone can afford to eat that change. $20.00 for a meal of a burger and fries and drink is a bit too much. read more

I went here after searching for new vegan spots in the area because I'm just SO tired of eating the same foods. I saw it had great reviews and the food looked delish so I had to give them a try. WHAT I CAN SAY IS the food was absolutely amazing. After tasting one of their herb fries I just knew I'd be returning for more. I got a cheeseburger combo (1 cheeseburger, herb fries, 16 oz Honest Tea, I think was about 12.99) and a sausage. Their burger was great, just like any grilled Beyond or Imposible burger would taste like. I loved how they have the potato bun on everything including the sausage. Their Honest Tea lineup is great as well. And their sausage tasted TOO real (jk, it wasn't real but it tasted excellent and gave me old memories of my non-pescatarian days ) I completely loved everything which is why I have no pictures bc I proceeded to eat everything in about less than 15 minutes. I JUST KNEW ID BE A FREQUENT CUSTOMER AND I COULDNT WAIT TO COME BACK!! Until the next day I find out I have a stomach virus thanks Plnt Burger. I have eaten here several times at the Silver Spring location inside the Whole Foods. You can get yourself a bite to eat after you've done some grocery shopping. Each time the food is absolutely delicious. Everything is so fresh my favorite item are the bloomies with the garden herb sauce. Best burger joint in the area hands down. My favorite is the cheeseburger add sour kraut. The balance of the size of the burger, amount of cheese and sauce, and the potato bun are perfect. I've tried all the sides and they are all good but my fave are the sweet potato fries. The bloomies are good too but super fried! I've also tried the salad which is tasty and the chili dog which is good, but my fave is still the burger! I was craving a veggie burger tonight and I'm thrilled that I learned about this place. I ordered the bacon mushroom burger, a side of fries, the orange cardamom drink and the chocolate ice cream and everything was amazing. It was the most satisfying vegetarian burger I've had in a long time. I don't usually eat fast food, especially as a vegetarian, but now I know that anytime I get the craving I can order from here! I had a professional conference off Colesville Road and was looking for a restaurant to eat lunch close by. As a pescatarian PLNT Burger peaked my interest. I read suggestions that it's located next to Whole Foods (Wayne Ave) but it's actually inside Whole Foods off Fenton. I got the cheese burger and sweet potato fries. There were friendly, attentive staff. It only took 10 mins to get my food. They give you a buzzer to hold on to and notify you when your food is ready. This process also gives you an opportunity to walk around the grocery store to maximize your trip. The Beyond burger Is a great portion and was perfectly cooked. Mine had lettuce, cheese, onions, sauce and "bacon"(mushrooms on a potato roll. The Follow Your Heart vegan cheese didn't have much flavor and was a strange texture but it didn't take away from the burger. The sweet potato fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside., but the flavor was just ok. The menu is limited (4 burger options) however it appears what they make, they make well.
