Espresso martinis... no beans :(((

Asian flair with a nice modern clean look . Perfect new addition to our restaurant scene. Casual but still nice. Restaurant and part market where they retail groceries and ready made meals and a lot of wine ! They have a big bar area which is super nice and a big patio seating area out front. Really enjoyed the seating outside. Perfect day for it. Inside is nice and spread out with different styles of seating. You can also sit at the bar. Service was really good Logan was on the go all night but managed to get everything we needed. They have daily specials on drinks which is always nice . We got $3 off glasses of wine / 50% off wine bottles to go. Nice ! Their wine menu is pretty great and they have a lot of variety in white and red and even rose and orange and bubbles. Beer and cocktails Also. I was disappointed they didn't have any Aperol for spritzes . That's a must this season!! We got a bottle of their Cava and another friend had a couple of glasses of their Tempranillo which she said was really good . We enjoyed the cava, light and very bubbly and dry. The menu is Asian inspired and not huge which is nice so you can decide quickly ! We had the shrimp ceviche to start which was really good flavor instead of chopped everything the shrimp was whole and sauce very light so not your average ceviche . Served with these great crackers that were seasoned . Not a big portion but it is a small plate !! Then we split the Bahn mi and the Thai chicken laab . Both were great in flavor the sandwich is kinda small too than ones I've had other places but had good seasoned pork and veggies. The laab is not cold like I've had before so I was glad about that. I liked this a lot good basil taste. Could have used some veggies maybe to give it a little boost. The pickled ginger was yummy. This was a good sharing bowl. Had the coconut chocolate mousse. Which was very light and easy to eat . Didn't get much coconut honestly but it was presented beautifully with sliced strawberries and a chocolate straw. Also tried the Gochujang cookie. Interesting! Big cookie with a sweetness yet a little kick here and there. Was really good with a little choc mousse on it! Nice and soft , never had this before and kinda enjoyed it! Lastly we had a great espresso martini but they didn't garnish!! You have to have beans to have a true espresso martini. Taste was great though. Small glass though for the price. All in all I enjoyed trying this place and will be back. Seems like they change out menu items often so maybe I'll be back later in summer. They need a few tweaks but they are still new ! Worth a try for sure if your a foodie .

I have driven past this place a few times and finally decided to stop in to try it out. It's a great place to grab a drink, great beer selection, they also have a wide selection of food from small plates, sandwiches, and some larger dishes. Will be back to try more!

What a fantastic dining experience! This place absolutely nails the shared-plates concept--every dish that hit the table was beautifully presented, fresh, and clearly made with care. The spread was incredible: creamy hummus with vibrant herb oil, crisp pickled veggies, perfectly crunchy crackers, and a generous bowl of marinated olives that were impossible to stop snacking on. The salads were bright and balanced--one with tender shrimp, crunchy cucumbers, and a tangy, refreshing dressing, and another with earthy noodles, soft eggs, and colorful vegetables that felt both comforting and elevated. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the textures to the flavors, making it ideal for sharing and lingering over conversation. Even the small details--like the glassware and plating--added to the cozy yet upscale vibe. Perfect spot for a relaxed night out with friends where you want to try a little bit of everything. Can't wait to come back and order this entire spread again (and probably more). Highly recommend!

We live nearby and saw this place pop up so figured we had to try it one night on a walk. We went on the first night they were open so they were still putting things on their shelves in the market section and did not have their liquor license yet. The inside is really beautiful and clean and modern, we love the vibes. We sat at their beautiful bar and had great service there. We were even saying we'd want our bar in our future house to look like their bar- it was beautiful! The dishes are very unique, largely Southeast Asian inspired and really were great. I even surprised myself with how much I loved the cold sesame noodle dish which I usually don't like cold food for dinner, but it wound up being the best thing we ate. I think about those noodles often. I definitely would come back for the clean upscale but casual vibes.

We wanted sushi and red curry and they delivered us some excellent eats. Service was awesome and the manager still always comes by to ask if everything is ok. Love that. Probably at some point will need a Reno as they have been open awhile but nothing looked bad nice busy atmosphere and lots of customers which is nice to see. We ordered a standard vodka soda from the drink menu. They have drink specials every day as well. Then we tried the sweet heat roll which was so pretty ! Delicious with all the sushi elements. Yum. Then we tried the poke bowl with ahi tuna. Wow so big! Rice, seaweed salad and lots of Veggies and a yummy soy wasabi vinaigrette. The tuna sashimi was so fresh. Then the red curry with chicken. We asked for extra Thai spicy and it was just the perfect heat. Served with white rice this was a huge portion honestly could have served 3 people. We still had a lot left over . They were also great about giving us another bowl of rice which is also a nice touch . The sauce here for this red curry is amazing. I will be back to buy it as we asked if they sell it and our server said yes . It is one of the best I've ever had. We were somewhat totally full !! Haha! Such a fun night here eating all this amazing Great food . I need to make sure I come back sooner than a few years! If your red curry fan definitely come here!

Went for lunch. We got two different lunch specials--they came with soup (I paid to upgrade to miso…read moresoup). We also got an appetizer of crab Rangoons. Our soups and appetizer were the absolute best thing we ate. Our entrees were okay. My husband got the beef bulgogi and it needed something. He thought the addition of chili sauce would make it ideal. He gave it a 6 out of 10. I ordered the hibachi beef bowl and it was lacking flavor. The beef was well cooked but didn't seem to have any salt, soy sauce, or anything like that. It was a 5 out of 10.

From the skewers to the custom burgers to the flavorful wings, the menu is like a food tour on demand for the best of Winston-Salem to try. Let's talk skewers. Feeling small bites but loving big flavor? The combo order and the ranges of quantities of skewers are the best way to explore. Good for one person or to share with friends. And honestly, the rest of the menu is giving main character foodie energy. It casually blends Asian street food vibes with comfort-food burgers and chaotic loaded fries in a way that just works. One minute you're ordering bao buns and kushiyaki skewers, the next you're pivoting into a pimento cheese bacon burger or a garlic bread steak sandwich like you're on a global flavor tour with zero jet lag. The fries alone deserve their own spotlight. Truffle rosemary, okonomiyaki, poutine. It's basically a personality test at this point. Add in pho, Panang curry, wings, and boba, and suddenly you realize this is not a quick snack stop. It's the kind of place where you pull up for a bite and end up building your own mini feast because everything sounds too good not to try.

Tucked behind Harper Hills Common business center close to Harris Teeter…read more The restaurant is decorated beautifully and it is very clean. They have Malaysian food and a specialty menu for khmer food. Khmer food is not knowned much in the east but its beginning to be more learned about and popular. There food is rich in flavor and there cuisine is mostly known for there use of fresh herbs, coconut milk and aromatic spice paste;known as kroeung(lemon grass paste). I decided to try some entrees from the Khmer menu. I tryed the Malaysian Roti appetizer with side curry. It is so so delicous. The curry is tasty too but a little too sweet for my taste. Main entrees I tryed was the chicken kroeung (sour lemongrass soup) and the braised pork meat on bone cooked in soy sauce( Malaysian style but Khmer people have a similar dish). The chicken kroeung is soup for the soul, filled with alot of green veggies and best eaten with white rice. The braised pork meat is great too. Cooked just right and seasoned good. Its not sweet or salty. Usually I would try braised meat in soy at other restaurants either it would be way too sweet or salty but they made theres just right. Now the Southeastern asian cooking is not for everybody or those who have only tried chinese or japanese food. If you'd like to try something different but oh sooo delicous, khmer cusine is for you!! The staff is very welcoming, friendly and informative. Food came out hot, quick and tasty(bursting of aromatic flavors). I met the owner too. He mentioned he also have a donut shop called Intown donuts and Boba tea..down the road on Jonestown Road. Will definitely dine here again and try there other menu items. Next time am going to try the donut shop before I come here since it closed earlier.

But when I ordered it the manager,Tony Tan, said the dish was actually 1/2 Roasted Duck! I went with the duck(which includes steamed rice), and added Baby Bok Choy, a nicely stir-fried dish that goes very well as a side item with a great many Asian entrees! These items made up a very nice meal. The duck is chopped into chunks with bone in, and is plated with a nice amount of rich broth, with just a hint of sweetness. The chunked up approach for the duck does result in some small pieces of bone to be picked through, in some cases fairly carefully. The picking through the bones was definitely worth it. I'm looking forward to trying additional Cambodian dishes.

As expected given its origins, Xia's menu skews Vietnamese (pho, banh mi, fresh rolls, and lettuce wraps), but there are Chinese influences as well. That menu isn't terribly large, but it does offer a good deal of versatility, including vegetarian options. My wife and I went with steamed dumplings followed by short ribs and garlic green beans with beef and rice. The flavors were excellent across the board. The green beans were sharply garlicky without overwhelming the palate while the ribs offered lemongrass notes and a hint of sweetness. The dumplings will make it hard to go back to the frozen version any time soon. Service was friendly and generally attentive. Our group of four ended up receiving dishes at different times, a possible product of the "small plates" concept blurring the distinction between courses. Speaking of which, expect small portions, especially for the near-entree prices paid. Nothing was outrageous, but a "come hungry and fill up" joint this is not. If you can look past that limitation, Xia's Asian Tapas offers tasty food in an attractive location. Provided you aren't famished, it's worth checking out.

The ambience is clean, cozy and dimly lit. We were one of about 7 to 8 tables present in a restaurant, with only one server working. Even then, we were promptly serviced, and didn't have to wait a long time at all for our food Altogether, we ended up ordering one order of shrimp egg rolls, one order of veggie egg rolls, one order of shrimp summer rolls, two beef and meatball pho, one combination pho, and one chicken pho. Everything was brought out piping hot, and of course, the pho herbs, condiments, and veggies were super fresh and served in abundance The eggrolls all came out hot and fresh. The wrappers were perfectly crispy on the outside, and the filling was fresh on the inside. I did not taste the summer rolls, but everyone said they were excellent. I personally had the combination pho and wish it had a little bit more meat. I would say the amount was less than at other Vietnamese restaurants, but overall it was still really delicious and filling. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the broth was perfectly seasoned. The total for the table was only $75, which I felt was reasonable for four people and the amount of food we received. Overall, a solid Vietnamese restaurant in Winston. I look forward to returning in the future.

I really wish Winston Salem had a great Banh Mi available. There are some good Pho restaurants but…read morethey don't serve Banh Mi usually and when they do it's not quite the authentic version I'm looking for. I had the Banh Mi at What Da Pho in the past and remember it was good so that's what I ordered this time. Additionally we ordered crab wontons and summer rolls. The restaurant is a little hidden but if you park in the parking structure adjacent to the restaurant it's super easy to get inside. First impressions are it's quiet- no music in the dining room, and the decor is sort of an afterthought with scotch tape holding LED lights to the walls and some Asian inspired pictures but not very well thought out. It's Ok, I'm not coming for the decor. The service is a little lacking. They are giving the bare minimum here so don't expect your server to be too friendly. The crab wontons and summer rolls arrived quickly. The crab wontons were super hot and crispy right from the deep fryer. They were filled with a delicious imitation crab and cream cheese mixture and when dipped in the sweet chili sauce they were exactly the thing I was craving. The summer rolls were equally as fresh and delicious. The filling of cold rice noodles, crisp lettuce and shrimp then dipped in the accompanying peanut sauce was just as delicious. We ordered one pork and one beef Banh Mi. The first thing I noticed was how plentiful the meat was in each one. Usually it's a light sandwich but these were very hefty in comparison to others I've had. My meat was very savory and had a very tender texture, almost like pot roast. It was also the juiciest pork I've ever had in a Banh mi. The picked vegetables were also really good but both our sandwiches were missing the jalapeno I've come to expect. My husband really enjoyed his beef one as well but we both noticed how the bread lacked that crusty flaky quality that Vietnamese baguettes normally have. This was more of a sub roll with a chewy texture and softer crust. The flavors were great, I just missed the textures I have come to expect in an authentic Banh mi. Our spot in Greensboro will still be my favorite but when I don't want to trek out that far, I can get my fix at What Da Pho.

Because it was so crowded, tables were even set up in areas where people would normally walk through. We definitely didn't want the buffet but one of the staff members gave us a menu and told us they were also serving from their regular menu. We still considered leaving since the only available seating was at two small tables in the aisle but since we were already there, we decided to stay. It was very loud so we couldn't really ask the staff about the dishes. Not knowing what to order, we went with the combo plates. I got the Pork Sisig combo, and my husband ordered the Beef Tapa combo. The food was good overall. The flavors reminded us of a mix of Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisine which was interesting. My sisig was a bit too salty, though. The only thing we weren't big fans of was the veggie rolls. We're still curious to try some of their other dishes so we'll probably give it another shot.
