I can't remember which one I order but my bao bun didn't really have must flavor to it but the good amount of crunch to it. My service was great very laid back and patient. Overall I had a good time and would love to see the other options of the menu. I feel like their specialities are the more fusion items they offer. I would definitely try this place again and recommend you give this place a try.

It is delicious (very sweet but still so delicious)! I usually order the Thai Tea (also delicious just not as sweet). The food portions are just right in my opinion, enough to satisfy your appetite. The spring rolls are also good (1 piece cut in 4ths). The atmosphere is nice, lower lighting, and relatively quiet. I am never disappointed at this restaurant and recommend to others.

We met our youngest son and his girlfriend there for Sunday lunch. Very few cars in the parking lot when we arrived At maybe 12:20.A table was no problem. Which so many restaurants being closed on Sunday unless it's Fast food or Asian or Mexican in this particular part of Ashboro. Maybe 25 or so people in and the place would definitely hold more.We were greeted with a smile and told to seat ourselves We were given our menu and our drink order was taken. This establishment had some amazing food. But I couldn't give them 5 stars because of the slow service. When our tea and water we had had plenty of time to chose our food. I chose chicken LoMien and Crab Wontons for an appetizer. My wife picked the sesame chicken with rice and an egg roll. Our son's girlfriend chose fried Rice with pot stickers as an appetizer and our son had fried rice with chicken and spring rolls as an appetizer..Now is when the waiting period started. It took two people to bring our tea and water. After awhile a server brought out our son's spring rolls and my wife's egg roll. The a different server brought out my crab wontons.A few minutes later the dumplings found its way to our table. Now as I stated right from the get go the appetizer's were delicious and piping hot with a very good dipping sauce. My wife mentioned right off her egg roll was delicious and she's very fond of egg rolls. Instead of bringing our meal out on a tray it came out one plate at a time. When we Finally had our food sitting on the table I basically could have eaten most of mine before my son who was the last to receive his.Now again the food was delicious. No complaints from any of the four of us.As we were eating a party of 6 was beside us it was the same thing. I kept telling my son who has a culinary degree that I smell chicken wings. He would look at me sorta weird like. Well with that being said. Slowly their appetizers started coming out. Several had some bowls of soup. The Bowles were a good size. But just like my nose was telling me one in that group had an appetizer of some really good looking chicken wings. I know on my next trip I will definitely be trying those good looking wings. But now back to our experience. The servings were a nice proportion. The food was excellent. The service was slow. It was 2:15 when we were paying our bill and waiting out the door.So basically we were there over an hour and a half. It's almost as though each dish was cooked one at a time. A person dropping by fro lunch may be pushed for time. Again the food and Appetizers were excellent. The tab was just a bit over $93.00 dollars. I hate I forgot to take a picture of the delicious appetizers.

Very disappointing experience…read more Our son has special needs and a very limited diet. The last time we were here, we were told something regarding bringing food for him, so this time I called ahead before coming to ask if we could bring his French fries in that he would eat. I specifically called because I wanted to respect the restaurant and avoid any issues. I explained the situation to the manager. I was told they have a kids menu, but none of the options on the kids menu are foods our son will eat because of his extremely limited diet. I explained that and asked if we could simply bring food that he can eat. The answer was still no. We weren't trying to get around the rules or avoid purchasing a meal. We called ahead, explained the situation, and asked for a simple accommodation so our son could sit with his family and eat. What was most disappointing was the lack of understanding or willingness to work with us. Saying "we have a kids menu" doesn't solve the problem when a child with special needs cannot eat any of those options. We made every effort to handle this respectfully. Unfortunately, that same consideration was not extended to our family. We will not be returning.

Service was good, and food came out fast. I liked the onion soup that came with the hibachi dinner. BF had steak and shrimp, and I just had the steak hibachi. Steak was perfectly cooked, veggies were okay, slightly overcooked, and the fried rice was decent. Although the beef was tender, it was lacking the savory umami taste and missing the slightly sweet flavor profile from mirin. It wasn't bad but not great either. Then we shared the beef lomein; the lomein was delicious, but the beef didn't have much taste. Overall, passable for Asian fusion.

I really wish Winston Salem had a great Banh Mi available. There are some good Pho restaurants but…read morethey don't serve Banh Mi usually and when they do it's not quite the authentic version I'm looking for. I had the Banh Mi at What Da Pho in the past and remember it was good so that's what I ordered this time. Additionally we ordered crab wontons and summer rolls. The restaurant is a little hidden but if you park in the parking structure adjacent to the restaurant it's super easy to get inside. First impressions are it's quiet- no music in the dining room, and the decor is sort of an afterthought with scotch tape holding LED lights to the walls and some Asian inspired pictures but not very well thought out. It's Ok, I'm not coming for the decor. The service is a little lacking. They are giving the bare minimum here so don't expect your server to be too friendly. The crab wontons and summer rolls arrived quickly. The crab wontons were super hot and crispy right from the deep fryer. They were filled with a delicious imitation crab and cream cheese mixture and when dipped in the sweet chili sauce they were exactly the thing I was craving. The summer rolls were equally as fresh and delicious. The filling of cold rice noodles, crisp lettuce and shrimp then dipped in the accompanying peanut sauce was just as delicious. We ordered one pork and one beef Banh Mi. The first thing I noticed was how plentiful the meat was in each one. Usually it's a light sandwich but these were very hefty in comparison to others I've had. My meat was very savory and had a very tender texture, almost like pot roast. It was also the juiciest pork I've ever had in a Banh mi. The picked vegetables were also really good but both our sandwiches were missing the jalapeno I've come to expect. My husband really enjoyed his beef one as well but we both noticed how the bread lacked that crusty flaky quality that Vietnamese baguettes normally have. This was more of a sub roll with a chewy texture and softer crust. The flavors were great, I just missed the textures I have come to expect in an authentic Banh mi. Our spot in Greensboro will still be my favorite but when I don't want to trek out that far, I can get my fix at What Da Pho.

The egg drop soup was of the style i appreciate, I got the chicken chow mein, it was great. Good ratios of meat and noodles and veggies, cooked perfect and full of good flavor. They have Malaysian food and a specialty menu for khmer food. Khmer food is not knowned much in the east but its beginning to be more learned about and popular. There food is rich in flavor and there cuisine is mostly known for there use of fresh herbs, coconut milk and aromatic spice paste;known as kroeung(lemon grass paste). I decided to try some entrees from the Khmer menu. I tryed the Malaysian Roti appetizer with side curry. It is so so delicous. The curry is tasty too but a little too sweet for my taste. Main entrees I tryed was the chicken kroeung (sour lemongrass soup) and the braised pork meat on bone cooked in soy sauce( Malaysian style but Khmer people have a similar dish). The chicken kroeung is soup for the soul, filled with alot of green veggies and best eaten with white rice. The braised pork meat is great too. Cooked just right and seasoned good. Its not sweet or salty. Usually I would try braised meat in soy at other restaurants either it would be way too sweet or salty but they made theres just right. Now the Southeastern asian cooking is not for everybody or those who have only tried chinese or japanese food. If you'd like to try something different but oh sooo delicous, khmer cusine is for you!!
