I had higher hopes for this little spot. We ordered food for delivery via Uber Eats, so we did not experience the restaurant, service or ambiance first hand. The food was a major letdown. Everything we ordered was bland without any real flavor that you'd expect from take out Chinese food. It came piping hot so we knew it was made fresh and the actual delivery time wasn't the issue. Egg Foo Young: bland. Lo Mein: no flavor. Orange Chicken: no real breading, too soft on the outside and dry chicken within. Hot and Sour Soup: wasn't hot or sour. We won't be ordering again unfortunately.

This tiny place is located in a relatively new strip center in the area of Summerfield where the road work is making a mess out of everything, and makes getting in and out of the parking lot interesting. There are 4 tables here, though most seem to get takeout. The menu is broad, covering all the usual suspects that are Americanized Chinese cuisine, and there are a few different dishes on the hand written board. We tried the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young, Pepper Steak, Szechuan Beef, and General Tso's Chicken - all of the "Lunch Special" variety, which comes with a choice of rice, each at $5.39 - and the results were rather a mixed bag as to quality and quantity. The Pepper Steak had a very, very nice flavor, and the meat was very tender, there just was little of the beef in the dish. The Szechuan Beef fell into the style that contains all manner of extraneous vegetables, such as carrots, broccoli, and snow peas. Again, the overall taste wasn't at all bad, just far too little beef, far too many vegetables, and almost no heat. The General Tso's Chicken was very tasty, and far less doughy than most versions, but there was little spiciness here. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young was simply awful, very bland and much over cooked, giving portions of the omelets a bitter, charred taste. The Pork Fried Rice was quite good once the seasoning was increase with soy sauce. Like I said, a mixed bag. Might try some other items like Egg Rolls, Chicken Wings, and Black Pepper Chicken. We'll see.

We only get takeout but the food is always quick and consistent. The teriyaki chicken (skewers) and Singapore noodles are our go to.

Overall, it was enjoyable and I'd eat here again! ***edit based on response receive - my dish came out the first round but since we didn't know the delay time or anything else other than "right out" on the third dish, we waited to eat for 5 minutes and that's why my food wasn't to temp; as for the bathrooms, it's hard to ask for directions when your server hasn't been by your table in awhile and everyone else is walking quickly, with their hands full, or not making eye contact. Business owners should apologize for short comings, not make excuses or advise why the customer was inadequate.***

The ambience is laid back with soft lighting, and depending on what time you arrive, you're either seated right away or there's usually only about a 10-15 minute wait, which is never too bad. The tables are always clean and set with fresh chili oil (super fresh and spicy), hoisin sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce. I ordered the pad Thai noodles with chicken, and it was so delicious. If you're looking for something savory, soft, and really satisfying, definitely try the pad Thai. Their drunken noodles are also up there as one of my favorites. Overall, this is definitely one of my comfort spots!

Not really a fair standard, I know, but it's what I prefer. So, for something like pho, with such a rich, meaty broth, and often chock full of meat, I struggle to enjoy it at times, despite my love of spicy, savory foods. This is all to say, I was thrilled to find that Pho Hien Vuong not only has a vegetable option (which most places do), but several combinations of just vegetables or with tofu, in either beef broth or a vegetable broth. I don't see that too often. I went the truly vegetarian route, with tofu and their made-in-house vegetable broth. The broth, despite its distinct lack of meat, was rich, flavorful, and deep. There were an abundance of toppings, and in addition to the included tofu and vegetables, I added jalapeño, bean sprouts, basil, lime, chili crisp, and sriracha. It was a fantastic meal, and while I could not come close to finishing the absolutely massive serving, I enjoyed every bite I did eat. Our server was quick and attentive, despite the restaurant being jam packed with a line out the door (a testament to its popularity, and by extension, its quality and value!). Tables were large enough to spread out on, everything was clean, and the volume level wasn't too bad even with that many people. I see many more visits to Pho Hien Vuong in my future.

The name Bandito Bodega is extremely accurate, as the store itself is a small and unassuming looking place, with a charmingly decorated interior and some indoor and outdoor seating. It was very convenient to order at the cash register as soon as you walk in, and the staff was very patient and efficient. I adored the unpretentiousness and individuality of the place. It did not need any flashiness or grandeur- just some good food and good vibes. Now the food: WOW I was blown away by the pork belly garlic fried rice. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection. And they do NOT skimp on the portions. This heaping bowl was just $15, and it was generously topped with the pork belly. This will easily be a place I plan to frequent often, for the convenience, food, and charm.

The young lady who took my order was really friendly and prompt. By the time I arrived, my order was already ready and sitting under a hot lamp, waiting for me. The same young lady from the phone warmly greeted me and checked me out. As I was finishing the prompts on the screen, she came around to bag up my order. She took care to place napkins, chopsticks, and a fork in the bag and to hand it to me directly. Overall, it was a great experience in service. The ambiance is casual and relaxed, typical of any fast-casual restaurant. At my earliest opportunity, I opened the box, which was stuffed full of pork belly, garlic noodles, broccoli, and scallions. The noodles had just the right amount of sauce, and the pork belly was perfectly cooked. The portion was so large that I ate some for lunch and finished the rest for dinner, and didn't need anything else either time. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning.

One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find.
