I have been wanting to try Peking Wok since I moved to the area a few years ago, I finally got around to it! They have an extensive and reasonably priced menu. I tried the veggie lo mein, the general tso chicken, the spicy chicken, the hot and sour soup and the teriyaki chicken skewers. Everything was ok, but like others have said in their reviews, some of the things including the lo mein were bland. The teriyaki chicken skewers and the general tso were my favorite items ordered. All in all, I would order from Peking wok in the future, but ONLY if my other go to Chinese restaurant is closed that day. read more

I had higher hopes for this little spot. We ordered food for delivery via Uber Eats, so we did not experience the restaurant, service or ambiance first hand. The food was a major letdown. Everything we ordered was bland without any real flavor that you'd expect from take out Chinese food. It came piping hot so we knew it was made fresh and the actual delivery time wasn't the issue. Egg Foo Young: bland. Lo Mein: no flavor. Orange Chicken: no real breading, too soft on the outside and dry chicken within. Hot and Sour Soup: wasn't hot or sour. First time ordering from Peking Wok and we enjoyed their food very much! The online ordering was simple to use, service was timely and the pick up of the order went very smoothly. Husband enjoyed the pork and snow peas and I loved the Gen Tso's Chicken albeit spicier than most Americanized versions. We also enjoyed their soups, particularly impressed with their Hot n Sour soup! My only criticism is that they served basmati rice - I prefer Jasmine rice but that is my personal preference, I guess. During Covid they have obviously been completely non-touch but they have a great system in place to make it work. The food is typically really good and always seems fresh and well seasoned. We have ordered takeout from here multiple times and it has been consistently good every time. Our first takeout order was quite large and they threw in a free order of the sugared donuts which was a pleasant & welcomed surprise. This tiny place is located in a relatively new strip center in the area of Summerfield where the road work is making a mess out of everything, and makes getting in and out of the parking lot interesting. There are 4 tables here, though most seem to get takeout. The menu is broad, covering all the usual suspects that are Americanized Chinese cuisine, and there are a few different dishes on the hand written board. We tried the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young, Pepper Steak, Szechuan Beef, and General Tso's Chicken - all of the "Lunch Special" variety, which comes with a choice of rice, each at $5.39 - and the results were rather a mixed bag as to quality and quantity. The Pepper Steak had a very, very nice flavor, and the meat was very tender, there just was little of the beef in the dish. The Szechuan Beef fell into the style that contains all manner of extraneous vegetables, such as carrots, broccoli, and snow peas. Again, the overall taste wasn't at all bad, just far too little beef, far too many vegetables, and almost no heat. The General Tso's Chicken was very tasty, and far less doughy than most versions, but there was little spiciness here. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young was simply awful, very bland and much over cooked, giving portions of the omelets a bitter, charred taste. The Pork Fried Rice was quite good once the seasoning was increase with soy sauce. Like I said, a mixed bag. Might try some other items like Egg Rolls, Chicken Wings, and Black Pepper Chicken. So we've lived in northern Greensboro/summer field area for several years and somehow managed to miss this place until recently. It's safe to say after three orders in the last month however this will be our new Chinese go-to for take out! They have a good variety and each item we've tried has been well-made and fresh. I don't end up with a pile of grease at the bottom of our take out bag and every dish is well seasoned and not dripping in soy sauce. I live near by and this I love this place. I gave it four stars because sometimes the order is not always right and they don't deliver but it's a solid Chinese place and the food is delicious! They also serve Pad Thai, bourbon chicken, and brown rice. Update*** I originally Gabe this place four stars based on previous experiences. However, tonight's order was bland and nothing to rave about. My house lomain was not cooked all the way through and none of the different entrees we ordered had any flavor. So... I'm still hungry :/ I will say that the staff is pretty nice. Can't say the same about the food. I ordered the Mongolian beef, I guess they were short on beef today. The dish should've been called vegetables in brown sauce. The sauce was pretty good, but probably would've been with something, I don't know what... Maybe beef!?! You would need to a microscope to see any beef in there, and the pieces that I did have were very rubbery. If you want a meal with beef, I don't suggest getting it from here. You might have better luck with a chicken dish. I feel I wasted my money and it would've been put to better use elsewhere. read more

I have stopped through here a few times for take out and it's always very good Americanized Chinese with a couple of more authentic dishes as well. I have really enjoyed their General's Chicken and appreciate their willingness to make it hotter, most place just nod OK and it's the same heat no matter what, even if I ask in Mandarin. Same with the delicious Singapore Chow Fun, they will actually make it hot if ask and you don't even have to know how to say spicy in Mandarin. On the tamer side, they do a nice version of chow mein and moo goo gai pan. Fresh tasting white meat chicken with fair portions for the price. Their egg rolls are never greasy and the steamed dumplings are very tasty. They have off menu items on a board that are sometimes a bit more authentic. I had the spicy tofu ma po and it was just as good as any I had when I lived in an Asian neighborhood in Atlanta. The people are quite nice, service is fast and polite. The place always seem clean and well take care of, not a big dingy like some small places like this might appear. read more

My husband hated his pork lo mein and stopped eating it after 3 bites. My kids refused to eat the chicken & broccoli but that's no big surprise. My egg roll was delicious, as were the fried dumplings. The crab rangoon was a little too fishy for me but hubs thought it was some of the best he'd ever had.
