They wrapped everything nicely and made sure nothing was damaged. They were super nice and clean cut/good looking guys, friendly and helpful. The whole process was easy start to finish. The minimum is 3 hours while most companies I called had a 4 hour minimum, and the cost was way more competitive than the other companies as well. the window was 9-10am and they showed up promptly at 9am. Hopefully I won't need to move anytime soon but if I do I'll definitely use them again.

The move took longer than it should have because the elevator had to be shared with other movers lugging stuff. Moving Checklist: These are mostly things no one told I had to prepare for so here you go. You're welcome. -Parking Permits: Most big cities required it now. Depending on what permit type you need, you might be given special "No Parking" signs with the day and time of your move for you to post on the street. Do it, because moving truck parking tickets are paid by the people moving, not the moving company. I moved from Mid-Wilshire area to Pasadena -Check with your landlord to be sure no one else is moving on the same day as you. If someone else is moving that day, be sure you coordinate so as to not slow each other down with the elevator. -No trucks are allowed on the 110 North...I didn't know this and called my movers ahead of time so they could re-route. The gentlemen who delivered my fridge told me tickets for violations are upwards of $1,000. -Don't buy boxes. Check Craigslist, grocery stores or other businesses for free boxes. I packed a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and last year I moved a whole medical practice and didn't buy a single box.

I left prior to my husband shipping the goods and he was told for insurance purposes, all boxes had to be opened for insurance purposes, so all of the boxes that I packed had been opened and in some cases repacked. I took receipt of the boxes but 3 boxes were missing from the check list. I had 3 silk trees that were not on the list and agreed with the movers that i had everything. I was told to sign that I received the goods, but if anything was missing, I had 75 days to file a missing or damage claim. Incidently one of my tree was broken but wasn't noticed until I started moving things around. I noticed I was missing multiplr Coach handbags and matching wallets, Eileen Fischer slacks, silk blouses, Liz Claiborne and Nordstroms' Casalon, keepsakes from my deceased parents, and all of my name brand winter clothing, 4 oversized lead crystal vases, accessories that held momories of my 20 years in AK. Two garment sized boxes filled with women clothing and a large box of kitchenware which included my set of waterless cookware ( valued over $1700), the hot plate and dutch oven, the salad shooter, Pampered Chef kitchenware, clay baking sheet, and misc gadgets. All missing. When I filed the claim it was denied due Stated "it appears there is no evidence of your crates being tampered with; therefore we have to deny the claim." 1. With so many items missing, there was no way my shipmrnt was over 3000 lbs. 2. All boxes were re-packed and taped, how could my count be compared wih theirs when the count on the sheet did not match or the total count that I had when I left. 3. We were charged by the weight because they said I had over 3K lbs. There was a sewing machine in a light weight cabinet, 3 paintings, 1 mirror, bedding, silk flowers, etc... NO FURNITURE!!! We paid to be robbed of things thay took 20 years to collect. And yes I am MAD that we were treated in such a manner. It is unfair to have so many things come up missing. We are an elderly couple getting ready for retirement and do not have the resources to replace things that took a lifdetime to collect. Not to mention, keepsakes with sentimental values and a lifetime of memories in particular photos of my deceased twin daughter who would be 40 years old 2/27. I do not know where my belongings are, but I am sure they were not delivered to my home in AZ. I will tell all of my friends and family do not use this company if you have items you want transported and want to see them again.

It left with a broken cabinet and broken drawer. We filed a claim but they denied it saying "it was an old desk." What does that have to do with the fact that it was in great condition before and they damaged it during the move? If you have an old Porsche or Cadillac that you've been keeping in a week maintained state and someone drives it into a tree is it acceptable for them to say they don't think they should help fix it because it was old? They are correct, I'm not a professional, but I do know there shoudn't be uneven or missing spots, the spray foam shouldn't be separating from the walls and that they did not follow through on what I was told was going to be done. The project manager's "attempt" to make things better was to tell us over the phone that he was going to come inspect the project, but then he never actually came to inspect the project. At the beginning we told them when you see such and such that goes in the garage, all the boxes are labeled, and there's one item of furniture that goes in a specific room. We had to say no more. There was no repeated "where does this go?" Or "what about this one?" questions. All of our things were handled with care and they even removed thier shoes on our uncovered carpet areas (it was raining outside). If you're moving or need maintenance things done, call them. The booking process online was useless, the phone coordinator who I believe was the guy in charge the day of the move didn't lead me to believe that my day was properly booked and when they showed up the actual muscle in the move was late. The guys who did the bulk of the moving were good. They handled our stuff with care for the most part or so it seemed. And they took care to not damage the rental house we were moving out of. I tried booking them for three hours to ensure things were done right and that I wouldn't be needed to do anything but oversee what they were doing. We didn't have many big things to move. But one of the things we did have was a king size storage bed that upon unloading the truck was absolutely wrecked. Multiple chunks missing from the drawers. They stacked the frame of the bed exposing the rails the drawers go in and stacked boxes it. We haven't opened up many boxes yet but needless to say I'm pretty worried at what I'm going to find. The guys who unloaded the truck made the comment that they will never see me again so why would they care. And that's exactly how it feels. I paid them for the job they did, as crappy as it was and they will never have to see me again so who cares.
