Very comfy setting. Ambiance is family oriented. Service was quick and friendly. Food was exactly wjat my palette needed. I was in the area for some errands and came across this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. Mu daughter ordered the salchipapa (not pictured) and she also was satisfied. Music was enjoyable as well.

Review for takeout only. I looove ordering quesadillas for lunch from here. The steak is always juicy, the tortillas are not dry or too thick, and the sides they give are tasty! The rice that comes mixed with some veggies including corn (I loove corn) are especially memorable. I have yet to order Mexican cuisine from anywhere else near my work place where the sides stand out as much as at Garibaldi's. While the food is great, the delivery service is a little weird and inconsistent. We are located in the Bronx, like a 10 to 15 minute drive from here. Yet sometimes, they say they won't deliver to us unless our order hits a minimum. Once it was a minimum of $50, another time a minimum of $80! We usually order for three people max and we are not looking to eat that much money worth of food. We just decide to order elsewhere if we're told this when we call. Then, sometimes, they say if it's more than one order it is fine to be delivered. Hopefully they keep delivering to us since we can't leave during work hours. I enjoy the food here so much!

This is my second time experiencing this restaurant, and I have to say it not what I thought. Both times I ordered some delicious food but couldn't finish it. Why may you ask? It was the mother**** mango margarita!!! I'm telling you; they were so delicious that I can sadly admit I, along with a few girls, became the life of the restaurant. Also, I can't forget the beautiful lady who looks stunning in her mariachi outfit. She was stealing our energy because she was the one that was encouraging us to act like a fool. I mean, seriously, we were dancing in the middle of the restaurant. Will I come back? Hell yea, hopefully, to eat this time. Will I recommend it? Hell yea, just for the mango margarita Great drink, Great server, and Great live music!

    Dining area.

Keeps getting more and more expensive as time passes but nothing changes. Live music is cool but im here to eat. Who charges for chips in a Mexican restaurant. Apparently this place does now cause before it didn't. The food is good but not at the prices charged. Place used to be a go to but there are far better spots a stones throw away with much more affordable prices.

    Stale old food

The owner has no shame whatsoever. He needs to drink less on the job and be present more in his kitchen. The audacity of this place to sell rotten display like food. Then when speaking to him in regards to a refund he gets offended and upset. It went from a once in a while edible food to an inedible arrangement type of business. The kitchen environment is toxic because of the incompetent owner so toxic food will be handed out. God forbid you get a service you pay for in this place. This is floutas de bistec or if you taste it, trash in an overcooked tortilla. Not to mention they charge about $15 for guacamole and they use one $0.88 hass avocado equivalent to the size of a toddlers hand for a party of 4. It is very upsetting when quality goes down and prices go up. And business owners get offended when you're handed gruel for $20. Deberías tener vergüenza!!!

First time visiting and it definitely won't be my last! This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

Everything felt watery, and while I understand that some locations may cater to people who prefer milder food with more moisture, it just didn't work for me. I had the beef birria. The texture was all right, but it was very saucy without much kick. It honestly tasted more like a generic meat filling rather than something with the bold flavor I'd normally associate with birria. The rice was forgettable, there were a lot of chips, and the drinks were okay. This was just an average spot. I wouldn't come back unless they made some noticeable improvements. Maybe if you're tired and just need a quick pit stop, it could work as a one-time group experience.
