Pork schnitzel with roasted potatoes

Solid pub food with surprising homemade quality. I had the fixed price special and the made beef and vegetable soup was great. The main was a nicely friend not fatty pork schnitzel with a great mushroom gravy. I enjoyed the roasted tatties! Overall good meal and price was fantastic.

this was one of the most disgusting place I've ever been the mozzarella sticks came out two minutes after I had ordered them and they tasted like they were microwave and frozen freezer burn frozen the martini even though I saw Tito that was Tito and then the margarita had no alcohol all acid never again stay away

Shepherd's Pie and Blue Moon

Food was decent. Group of 4 of us were on the rooftop section and the service was decent. Keep an eye on your bill cause they automatically added a 20% gratuity even though there was only 4 of us and the menu says it's 22% for a party of 6!

Gosh, this is a solid pre-theatre spot. We were at immediately. The wait staff was very nice! The menu is a very tight and appropriate size. The food was very good. Better than I expected to be honest. The decor was all ready for Christmas which is early but I didn't mind at all. This will definitely be a go to before seeing shows in the area.

This was a fun Irish/Celtic pub that we stumbled upon. I don't think it's the best Irish dig in the city, but it was fun nonetheless. The food was expensive for the portions they provided.

Prior to seeing a Broadway Musical, my girlfriend and I came here on a Wednesday night, to have a drink and a meal before seeing our show. This place was only a few blocks away from where we were going, so it made sense to check it out. I liked how they had multiple levels of seating. We sat on the second level, and started off with some drinks. We tried the sangria special, and an IPA beer. The drinks were good. Standard NYC prices. I then ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with French Fries. This was a delicious meal. The chicken was a great spice level, and tasted great. The fries were seasoned well too. Overall, we had fun hanging out here for a bit.

Chili surprise

Placebos not like it used to be. I always went there for the shepherds pie. I received chili surrounded by mashed potatoes. Way to go. I make better Sloppy Joes

Nice little pub by Times Square. It's a super cool concept as it has three different floors. The second floor has tables to eat and the third/fourth floor had bars. The fourth floor has a cool roof top bar. The service was fast and they had a good selection of beers/wines. The only con is the prices - $11 for a beer???

Going to a play across the street. Still found bar seating about an hour before the show. Super annoying drunk person beside us. Bartender and a patron both intervened and made sure that the person was made to leave. Food was okay and not memorable. Place got very busy around 7pm with a combination of theater crowd/bachelorette party/holiday celebrations (late November 2024).

They are nice and friendly here. They take care of you as soon as you come in. The drinks are good but never very strong. I will be back to try some food

This is not the place to go.... I am a true yelper and I believe Yelp helps both people and businesses worldwide. So I was very disappointed when I checked into this bar and a 6$ drink coupon popped up for me and when I showed the manager my phone and the Yelp coupon she looked and told me that she didn't have 6$ drinks at her bar, didn't even offer 6$ off a drink for me nothing. She should of honored that. I know it's only 6$ but it's not the point. I have money. It just made her business look bad. Honestly it was just a little 6$ Irish coffee whiskey drink and if she would of honored it without the bad attitude she would have more stars right now from me.

Prior to going to a Saturday afternoon matinee, a group of us were looking for a good brunch spot…read more I had Tanner Smiths bookmarked, so we stopped in. What a cool place! It definitely has the vibe of a speakeasy, especially with the jazz band playing. We went with the brunch special which is $35 for bottomless drinks with the purchase of an entree. It pays off if you're having more than 2 drinks and we made sure we did! Bloody Mary's were excellent! The food here was outstanding. I had the 3 Eggs Any Style and my wife had the Breakfast Flatbread. Those dishes as well as our friends were well made and delicious. If you're headed to a play or just in the area, I'd recommend stopping here to eat, drink or both!

We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

Warm lighting, good energy, and a chill crowd make it an easy place to hang whether you're starting your night or winding it down. One of the best parts is the menu. It's super affordable for NYC, but still delivers on quality. Everything feels simple, satisfying, and done right. We ordered the burger and fries, wings and fries, plus a margarita and a mojito. The burger was juicy and filling, the wings were flavorful, and the fries were hot and crispy. The drinks were solid, refreshing, and exactly what you want at a spot like this. Location-wise, it's perfect. The Grizzly Pear is close to so many things, making it a great stop before or after exploring the neighborhood, catching up with friends, or heading to another spot nearby. The service really stood out too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed vibe of the place. Overall, The Grizzly Pear is a great go-to if you want good food, decent drinks, a cool atmosphere, and fair prices all in one spot. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

Food is good, service was great. Management is horrible…read more I have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time. I noticed recently that there was a $2 transaction fee added to my bill. This was not a credit card fee (that I can understand). It is a "transaction fee" that is applied to all invoices. Are you kidding me! I have no trouble paying a an extra dollar for a burger. But if you try to rip me off by sneaking in extra charges, I will never come back. You just lost a regular customer over a $2 charge.

They had outdoor seating along 9th ave and 51st street. We sat inside at a hightop , along their big open windows of 9th; great in between of inside and outside. Plenty of options for a big or small group, or solo! Our server was McKenna, who was incredibly attentive, we never felt like we were waiting or had to wave anyone down. The food came quickly, and was great. Nothing that changed our lives, but hot, quick, and delicious. I can see this becoming a regular spot for when we can't decide on where to go and just want somewhere dependable and consistent. Inside is like a typical Irish pub: long bar, wood everywhere, comfy high tops and booth seating along the wall. Keep in mind that it is a sports bar with TVs everywhere, so they will be playing the major sport of the season. The volume isn't too loud though, enough to hear, but don't need to cover your ears. The bottomless option on the weekend is great, 2-3 drinks and you get your money's worth. The bloody's are good quality, with a good bite of Tabasco and horseradish (I prefer that!) and the mimosas are bubbly forward (they're not skimping you with mostly OJ). The food prices for brunch aren't crazy either. Selection is a bit limited, but seeing as this is a pub/tavern, I think they have a pretty good mix. Overall, would absolutely recommend. If you have a big group, have some common sense and book a reservation, but likely able to do walk-ins for small groups, couples, or singles easily. This is a great option for laid back vibes in HK.
