During the summer evenings, we loved coming here to watch the sunset over the water. Huge lawn area where you can park your picnic blanket and throw a football or kick a soccer ball around. You can always get a handball court and you know those are hard to come by in nyc parks. Their 5 basketball court is alwaysssss busyyyyyyyyyyyyy. But ordinarily, it's welcoming. Not many parks have bocce, like spaghetti park, so this a gem.

Beautiful park with a small sandy beach overlooking the Whitestone bridge. Well kept, clean, and…read moresuper spacious. My new place to take a walk and get my daily steps in.
