Miller lite bucket

Came on a Sunday to watch some football. They have $16 buckets on Sundays during the game so got one of those and some boneless wings with hot honey sauce. Wings were delicious. Service was a little slow at first cause I think they only had one server for the tables but our server was very nice and checked in frequently a free we got our food. Plenty of TVs in the bar but my only complaint was that there were only a few areas where you could sit and see multiple games comfortably and those were of course the first seats to fill up. Other than that it was great though. Neat place with the Sportsbook inside as well.

Great food and service! I had a BLT and fries, delicious! Ask for Jessica! She is awesome!

Perfect doneness especially impressive for delivery

Here's what you need to know: OK... FAR FAR exceeded my expectations. I did a late night delivery at 11:45PM from Player's Pub n Grill via Uber Eats and expected dried out fare that would barely sustain us. Oh boy, was I wrong and so pleasantly surprised at the quality and sizing of the food. The fact that it exceeded my expectation so much so with execution and taste demands that I rate this 5 stars. The burgers could not have been grilled any better - they were a perfect medium doneness with thick cut smoked bacon that was not over or under cooked. The blue cheese was chunky and perfect try meltingly, the patty was generous, tasted very fresh, and well seasoned. And the tater tots, golden fried and crisped to perfection. Best tots I've had in a while. I can't believe how well their kitchen executed this food past 11PM and how perfectly well it held up through a 40 minute delivery process while maintaining its quality. So good! Burgers are $16 each on Uber Eats and fees and tip was $14.

My friends have sung praises about this restaurant for bold flavors, big portions, low prices, and nice daily specials. On my visit here, I can confirm that these praises are true. This restaurant is kind of hidden a little off of Milwaukee Road, somewhat difficult to find if you don't have an idea of where to look for the restaurant. The parking is plentiful, but this place can easily get busy. The restaurant itself is fairly large, with plenty of space to watch games, enjoy a drink, enjoy a special event, or gamble. On this visit, I tried three items. Here were my thoughts on them: - Fish & Chips: Enormous fillets of beer battered flounder -- firm and thick with a crispy and flavorful batter. Served with crispy and lightly seasoned house cut fries. - Fettucini Jambalucci: A tasty mix of andouille sausage and tender grilled chicken. The vodka sauce binds all the components together well. - Cajun Alfredo: Not as flavorful as the jambalucci - but I did enjoy the creamy alfredo sauce mixed with mushroom and red pepper. The garlic bread was crispy and flavorful. Overall, I like the combination of low prices and big portions at this bar -- in addition to fairly nice presentation and interesting choices on their menu (like zucchini fries, drunken mussels & clams, pork chop sandwich, aged steak, etc.). I'm looking forward to returning and trying more items soon.

Southwestern egg rolls.
Carra F.

Came in on a week night with all tables open and only the bar full. Ordered the pretzel bites and southwestern egg rolls for the appetizer. Then boneless wings, half red sweet chili and half Parmesan, with a side of sweet potato fries. The pretzel bites were okay, but the southwestern egg rolls were awful! The boneless wings were okay but the red sweet chili sauce was way spicer than expected- the teriyaki sauce was terrible. The sweet potato fries were okay. The service was bad though, the waitress made it feel like taking our order and asking for more water refills was a huge inconvenience. The food isn't good and the service was terrible. Don't recommend this place at all.

Great food - go there often and have never been disappointed in the service or the food. It's a sports bar - a little on the noisy side.

We had a party of 10. We made reservations and the table was ready. Our server was very nice and helpful. My wife was feeling hot and out of no where, the server came with a mini handheld fan and plopped it on the table which was awesome. We ordered Pepperoni Thin, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cheese thin, Gfree Pepperoni, Gfree Penne with meat sauce, Brussels, and Onion Rings. The pizza was crisp and the cheese was nicely cooked. I really love the sauce as it has a nice little sweetness to it. The Brussels were good and roasted perfectly and had a nice drizzle of sauce. The onion rings were large and had crunchy. The server was very attentive and funny. We really appreciated the fan! They also had live music. I def will be back here.

I've needed an excuse to…read morecome here after having it on my list for years and the stars aligned for Game 4 of the ongoing White Sox - Cleveland Guardians ALDS. As I refuse to pay extra for sports channel subscriptions over my basic Comcast cable TV package, I didn't have TBS for this particular game or series, and decided to come here hopeful of watching a festive home field series clinching celebration on this night. It was a festive and fun and tense night, and I had a blast until things fell apart in the 6th inning. Beacon Tap has a great reputation as a good and long standing local sports bar and it lived up to it. In fact, I learned that on Bears football Sundays, you need to reserve a spot here as it's so packed, you can't just walk in and watch a game. I sat at the bar and ended up having a couple of delectable Maplewood Son of Juice IPA drafts (at a reasonable $7.25 apiece) and had a blast with fellow fans, two of whom were regulars here. Tim was the fine and attentive bartender and he kept the beers flowing and it was a packed bar and dining room as expected. I left after the 6th inning when the game was decided and the Sox eventually lost 9-5. It would have been so cool to celebrate a major sports win in a sports bar along with the comaraderie, something I've never experienced, but alas, it will probably have to be in another life, ugh. Come to think of it, I have been at a winning major championship game, the Bears' 1985 NFC championship game when they beat the Rams 24-0 at Soldier Field, but being at a rowdy sports bar is indeed another thing. They have a quite nice beer list, and the usual pub food offerings. I learned that their popular 1/2 price pizza night is Tuesdays. They have a big parking lot to handle their big weekend crowds. I'm a big fan of this place, and will look to return again some day for a good time.

Which made it a little disappointing when we were asked to move about ten minutes later to accommodate a large group that came and expected 15-20 seats. The cocktail menu had a good variety. I ordered a dirty martini, which was fine but not something I would seek out. The olives were standard olives and, maybe I'm a snob, but I kind of expect a blue cheese or garlic stuffed olive at a place where I'm paying $16 for a cocktail. For my second round, I got a vodka soda, which was exactly what I expected. We ordered french fries and truffle fries, both of which came out quickly. They were crispy and hot, a solid pairing for a dirty martini adventure. I'll definitely come back - I might stick to wine or a more basic cocktail next time - but I loved the vibe.

My group ordered our drinks and waited for around 15 minutes before the server came back out asking for our order once again. My friends all ordered cocktails and I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The server clearly wasn't sure what Cabernet Sauvignon was since she repeated it back to me as Sauvignon blanc. I corrected her and the cocktails came out, but another server/bartender came out asking what I had ordered. I repeated once again a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. He brought out a glass of white wine. I had to tell him that Cabernet Sauvignon was a red wine, not white, and then finally got the correct drink. It was unfortunately at least 30 minutes of being there and four conversations before I got my drink. All in all, I was pretty disappointed. With the type of bar this place is aiming to be, I wouldn't expect it to be so difficult to get a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
