    Power Acai Bowl
    Kim P.

Came in for lunch midweek and while there were people waiting inside, I was able to walk right up to the counter to order. The menu is up on the wall to the left and there's a lot to chose from as far as bases and toppings. I ordered the açaí power bowl which came with banana, granola and peanut butter. It tasted great. I didn't have to wait long for my bowl. There are a few tables inside and a few outside as well and it being a sunny day I sat outside in the sun. I'll definitely come back to enjoy more bowls in the future.

I hate it when people try to do a little of everything…read more The restaurant business is not somewhere that suits the "Jack of all Trades" philosophy. The Fresh Fruit Bouquet Company ("FFBC") is a little bit of Edible Arrangements, a little bit of Smoothie King, a little bit Pinkberry and a little bit of Cereality. In other words, FFBC offers edible fruit baskets, smoothies, frozen yogurt, a cereal bar, and soon-to-come bubble teas. Yet, apparently, this franchise concept isn't new because FFBC is available in 9 other states, including New York, California, Michigan, and Florida. Here's what I don't like about this FFBC. First, I felt like I was walking into the reception room of a dentist's office. Maybe it used to be a bank. But the "upscale," corporate feel doesn't make sense for a frozen yogurt and smoothie place. Second, they were fortunate that I happened to be walking by because this side of Wisconsin Avenue does not receive a lot foot traffic. Third, the owner was eating spicy ramen, which kind of threw off my nose, and didn't make any sense why he was doing that at the cash register. Fourth, the granola yogurt ("fresh fruits, yogurt & garnola") turned out to be a liquid sugary mess. I didn't ask for a shake. I wanted yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola - all intact. It's right between parfaits and frogut mix-in's and all the other solid foods. Fifth, too much sugar. If it was supposed to be a smoothie, you could have at least added the Fat Burner. Sixth, the frozen yogurt itself was just okay - a little course but at least it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet - but being "okay" isn't good enough in DC because there are better places like Mr. Yogato, Tangy Sweet, or SweetGreen. 2 Stars - There's a lot of bitterness in this review but maybe I just don't like badly-operated businesses. I wouldn't go back but I'm not going to discourage from going either. Its a new establishment and probably first-time business owners. Assuming that this FFBC survives its first 6 months, I'm sure that it'll get better.

I suppose the prices arent cheap, but i used classpass credits to order from here lol. they expired…read moretoday so i just wanted something that was quick and close to me. it was very easy to order it from the app and the food was ready when i got there (less than 20 min. i stopped at trader joes so i dont know how long, but it was very quick). the presentation was good! I got a honey oatmeal and a tropical smoothie. the texture of the oatmeal was pretty good! i think the size of both of them was also pretty good. they both also taste fresh ingredient wise. the oatmeal by itself was pretty plain, but it is oatmeal and there were toppings so im not mad at that. perhaps there could be more of the toppings on the outmeal but im honestly not too too upset. the place is smallish but when i came (5.30 on a sat) it wasnt busy at all. it was actually empty. their guest wifi is password protected but i thinki the speed is pretty good. theres seating with chargers so i decided to do some work there. they also close at 9, which is a decent time to close! Im not sure that i would spend my own dollars here but i would def use classpass credits here again!

Have not had a bad smoothie from here. Prices are higher than Tropical Smoothie ($10.25-$12.25) but…read morethe quality makes up for it. They don't add any sweetener to their smoothies or ice so it doesn't get watered down. It's just fruit and almond milk or coconut water. There is one size smoothie, a 20oz cup. They also offer bottled cold pressed juices for $9 and wellness shots for $4.25. Acai bowls range from $11.25 to $15 and are a good option for the price. They offer oatmeal and toast options as well. Right next to Trader Joe's for a treat before shopping.

After parking at a garage in Pike & Rose, we stopped by South Block to quench my thirst. I have a South Block in my neighborhood and find it overpriced, but I really did need to go. STRAWBERRY MINI - 6.49 I didn't need a whole lot, so I went with the 12 oz. kid size smoothie. This contains guava juice, strawberry, and bananas, which is much less complex than the regular sized 16 oz. adult smoothies. Overall, pretty refreshing and enjoyable. It's not Orange Fanta, but it did the job. Spacious interior but not a whole lot of seating. Definitely more of a grab-and-go while walking around Pike & Rose.
