This spot is nestled in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel on Georgia Ave, so look for the hotel otherwise you will miss it. Small but clean and prompt service. Not a ton of seating but more than enough with street views and free wifi. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty if your in a time crunch.

I love this Starbucks! My boyfriend and I are staying at the Sheraton so it was close by. We had breakfast there this morning and it was delicious! We both had the double smoked bacon croissant and enjoyed every bite. The service was fast and employees were friendly. If you are in the area, it is a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Came to this Starbucks for coffee, ended up leaving with a coffee and a tomato mozzarella Panini. Sounds amazing g right. Well here we go. I am a construction worker and I had to go go go, the ordering was fast and coffee is delicious but when I went to eat the panini I could not help but notice the lack of tomatoes. I just want to warn everyone of the panini and tomatoes and mozzarella. I could not take it back due to I had to eat before I passed out, so I could not return the food.

When we arrived, there were a few spaces available in their small parking lot, so we had no trouble parking. The shop is charming. They sell a few select beers and wines so it was fun to peruse them as we waited on line to order. Their menu is on boards behind the counter and they also have paper menus, which is helpful to those of us who need glasses! The staff was super friendly and helpful since I hadn't been there before. A+ to them for offering their coffee/espresso drinks in decaf! I had a vanilla latte and it had a deep, rich flavor. One of the best I've had in the area. For food, my friend had the bagel and lox and it was huge! She had to take half home. I had the garlic Boursin eggs. It was a nice pile of delicately cooked eggs, but I wished there was more garlic Boursin flavor. Still really good. It came with salad greens in a light vinaigrette, sauteed mushrooms, and avocado. Very nice dish. They have a serve-yourself water station and, though they bring out your order to your table, you must go get your cutlery and napkins. They have a nice number of tables for a small place and we were lucky to snag one. Overall, a really nice experience and I plan to go back with my husband next time.

The place is so cute, great place to work during the day and also catch happy hour, did I mention the $8 dollar shots at happy hour? Thank me later. We had had empanadas during happy hour, beef and chicken, and surprisingly the chicken was the star! The crab dip was good and so was the papas. On my brunch outing there we split steak and eggs and the salmon frittata. CHEFS KISS, no notes, my steak was perfectly medium and season well, the frittata was flavorful light and a perfect meal for "Im brunching but watching my waist" lol. Lastly, there is parking right across the street. Again, cant say enough good things, GO EAT.

The avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg topped with Japanese black sesame seeds is my go-to order, and the sandwiches are consistently good. Their cocktails are excellent, and the bar side makes a great venue for private parties or larger gatherings. I am apparently in the miniscule minority, but I find the drip coffee a bit too dark and somehow slightly burnt for my taste. Fortunately, they make an outstanding Dirty London Fog and a wonderful London Fog Chai Latte, either of which I'd happily order instead. All manner of alternative "milks" are available as are a pretty decent selection of local beers in their cooler if you are grabbing take out. Be prepared for a wait on weekends--this is one of Takoma Park's most popular brunch destinations. Like many cafés these days, it's a favorite of laptop-wielding remote workers, so tables can be at a premium. In my experience, though, solo diners are often gracious about moving to the communal table when they notice [or more likely are asked polietly if they wouldn't mind moving] a larger group waiting. It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

In my mind I'm thinking maybe they just ring it up as same thing. As soon as I paid, the cashier turned to the guy making drinks and asked what espresso con panna meant and he said it meant with the cream but they were out of cream. The woman just walked off and neither of them acknowledged that I had been charged more money for the wrong thing. So I basically got charged more money for the thing I was trying to order. I realize it wasn't a big difference in the cost but just put a bad taste in my mouth.

The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring
