I have a 1 year old son whom I wanted to socialize with other kids. I googled an indoor play place a day this place popped up on Google so my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Immediately showing up, it felt very clean and organized. We asked the woman up front if there were any other children inside bc we wanted our son to socialize with other children. She said no bc 1 it was early and 2, every day is a hit or miss. She said we can sign the waiver, pay for our sons entry and have him check it out/get used to the place then we can come back later that same day with hopes that they'll be more children inside. We did that and our son was excited lol. He didn't know where to start or end lol. We let him get used to the place for about 20 mins and decided to leave for nap time and come back later. A few hours later, maybe around 330? We came back and there were 2 kids inside. Which was fine. Our son started playing and got to see a dancing character. I was happy that my son wasn't scared lol. Overall he did good and he loved the place. B4 departure, we got to chat with the owner who was super cool. He was telling us how they've been at that location for 6 years! Super crazy bc we had NO idea! I love that this place has bins all around for soiled toys for them to disinfect once a child put it in their mouths. They have a jumper, slides, play ice shop, play grocery store, an area just for under 2 years od age, party rooms, just about EVERYTHING! They have snacks for the kids! It's crazy. The only thing i can't comment on is the bathroom but I was told, they offer crocs to walk in once you enter the restrooms! Since our first time here, I've been back a second time a few days ago to have my son see Minions bc he loves them. I brought my sister and my father and they both agreed that's this place is BOMB! I would post pictures but they are of me and my son and I refuse lol. Please come here so my son can make more friends lol and bring your kids bc the weather is going to get nasty and parks will be way off limits! read more

It's okay, overall good room with several things for the kids to do but I don't like the building. It's a maze to get to the bathroom and the bathroom is a gas station bathroom. It's dirty, smells terrible, sinks look terrible. Washing your hands here are pointless. The baby gates don't work. I would pick to go somewhere else next time. Also, the people that work here don't have that many brain cells. They are rude and careless. read more

We love this place it's nice and clean and bunch of fun activities for the little ones to burn all that energy away. They had free ice cream the day we were there and Micky showed up. If you're looking for a nice safe clean fun spot for your little ones this is it. Service was great signed a quick waiver and play. And they sell socks if need because it's socks only read more

Took my kids in to this play place and it was just so adorable run by a nice husband and wife couple. All of the birthday decor they had set up was right out of an instagram post. Super cute. It was $16 per child and they have a variety of things from a jump house, slides, swings, play house, play kitchen, XL Legos, and more. I would recommend they buy new baby dolls because they looked they have been loved a bit too much. However, pretty clean, super cute, and they almost have a daily character visit! read more

This place exceeds expectations for kids. So much for your child to enjoy but very up to date on cleanliness. Also, if you come on the days & times when a special visitor like Minnie comes it makes the day that much better. "Best day ever!" read more

Took our baby for her 11 month bday ( yes, I'm extra and celebrate every month). It was just her mom and I. She was smiling and playing the whole time! She has so much energy and was super interested in all the toys and play structures. There is a little snack area with tables and chairs to take a snack break. Price is good $9 for little ones and 2 Guardians free. The areas and toys seem very clean, and there are baskets to put toys that she put in her mouth. The girls at the desk were super nice and so was the manager. We drove 40 minutes to get here, and it was well worth the drive. Our little one slept great after the visit. I am already planning to have her 2nd birthday here because the setup is GORGEOUS, and the prices are fair! read more

We had our daughters birthday at Play Modesto. She turned 7 today. She had an amazing time. We chose the Mega Bash 2 hour party. All the attendees had a great experience. The facility was clean and organized. The party started on time and was well prepped. All the party details were exactly what I was wanting/expecting. The support staff was welcoming and approachable. I am so thankful for Abigail, my party host, she made the experience seamless from the moment I walked in the door till the moment I left. I felt supported and all my needs were met above and beyond. Many of the parents were raving about how awesome the experience was. Looking forward to our next birthday party with Play Modesto. 5 stars! My girlfriend hosted her daughters 3rd bday here and I was so impressed! The bday package included the play area as well as a private room for the celebration. I was most impressed with the decor that Play Modesto set up! It was truly magical! they put together a beautiful princess themed room! they also have live characters that you can add on for your party! This was a huge plus when party planning since you don't have to hire a 3rd party decorator. It was clean, kids loved it and great staff! There is a jungle gym area, large lego block room, baby play area, imagination room and more! Highly recommend for a kid play day or birthday! read more

We recently moved to the area after living in the Bay Area for a few years. We had a goto play spot in Fremont called Kidstopia. We were looking for something similar and were so happy when we came across Play Modesto. I was a bit disappointed with their hours because close pretty early and aren't really open during convenient times. At any rate, I found some time to take my family last Sunday. I was shocked at how packed it was for a such a small space. I was literally stepping over children trying to find some room for my family to settle and catch our bearings. Our child had a somewhat good time for the next 20mins (time we had until they closed). We left thinking we wouldn't mind coming back here if the space was bigger so that the kids had more room. What sealed the deal for us from probable ever coming back here again is that 2 days later, our child showed symptoms of coughing, stuffy and runny nose, and wheezing. Thankfully no flu. But we all got sick after a few more days, including our no new born daughter who can barely breathe at night and we are 100% certain that Play Modesto was the source. How can we be so certain? Play Modesto was the first time we left our house in 8 days. My wife was 39 weeks pregnant and we didn't even goto the doctor appointment for her that week because we just wanted to stay home. Play Modesto, please do a better job at vetting who you let into your facility. And please put a limit as to how many people can be in the play area. Other parents, if you know your child is sick or was around sick people. Please don't harm other children and families by exposing them. RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER: Thanks Natalie. Would love to try to come during the week but wouldn't be able to make it before you close at 5pm. read more

My little girls LOVE this place and the staff. They take their time to clean up all the time. We attend all of their special events. They are so worth it! Worth checking out the various special events they have through the year. We haven't missed one! read more

We love play Modesto! Awesome place to bring my little ones. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Great alternative for play dates when it's too hot outside especially out here in Central Valley. The place is deceiving pretty big, it doesn't look like it form the outside. Plenty of space for the kids to run around in a confined and safe area. Some tips: make to bring socks for the whole family, bring snacks or buy from them (there's a designated area for eating and drinking), and buy the play pass because you'll probably be back for more. Look out for their events posted on Facebook and Instagram. We recently had my daughters party here and they did everything the could to accommodate our unique theme. We love that we can bring our own food and it comes with a party assistant. We love it overall and hope you will too! read more

I absolutely love this place but I my son loved it more! We celebrated my sons birthday party here and the girls who work here are so sweet, kind and ready to work. We love Play Modesto! It's the perfect place for parents with younger kids. We went there on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded, tons of stuff for the kids to do. They recently added a little grocery store and ice cream shop, so cute! The owner makes an effort to come out and get to know his customers, asking how they like new additions etc. He was also periodically vacuuming and wiping down toys which I appreciated. When I mentioned we were there for my sons birthday he offered to make a special birthday announcement and play a little birthday song. They also have a snack area for the kids. You're welcome to bring your own snacks but they also have things like lunchables and applesauce to purchase. read more

We didn't go out much because of the pandemic. When we were coming out of quarantine we heard about this place and wanted to come but they were still closed. I do have one complaint and that's I wished we came sooner. On a whim while looking up things to do in the area for kids I stumbled across this place while setting up a play date for family visiting from out of town. We loved it so much we ended up upgrading to the monthly pass by the time we left. Here's what I love: but to be honest half of me wants to shout from the rooftops that I can't believe we have been here and didn't know about this place and the other half wants none of the valley to know to keep it our secret gem. But it's a family business so time to let the rest of people know I guess you should come play, too. 1) it's family owned. The husband and wife team is super kind, driven and you can absolutely tell they've poured their heart and soul into this place to make it modern, classy, interactive and a way for their kids AND our kids to play. Why do I think it's also a bonus cool factor that they have 2 little girls who play here? They want their kids to be in an enriched, safe, clean, active environment as well. The fact that they're raising their most precious jewels here makes us want to bring ours to come play, too. They set their hours based on family events and school. The owner explained they close early on Tuesdays to pick up his kid and if that doesn't shout proper values and you think it's annoying it's an early closure then take your business elsewhere. We're here for that kind of parenthood dedication. 2) it's incredibly clean. They thoroughly wipe things down every time we are there. We obviously utilize the hand sanitizer and i being some extra because, well, sick kids and you can't avoid that no matter where you go, but teach your kids about proper hand washing and use it as a lesson of when, why and how to use sanitizer, and poof, extra life lessons. We've been to a few other play places and have never felt as safe using things here. 3) it's like a gift that keeps on giving. This place is huge and has areas for every level of development. Our daughter just kept running from room to room screaming "Wow!" If your kid gets bored here, they're probably boring. There's so much to do. 4) very reasonably priced for what you get, and again, it's all about supporting local businesses through these crazy times. Our daughter has been sick (not the contagious kind, medical complications) and this place brought pure joy and smiles back that we hadn't seen in months. That is priceless to us, and every kid always seems to be so happy. The only tears we've seen from other kids are at the exit when it's time to go home. The kids and parents have all been very nice, too. 5) we love the soft padded white new jumper. We never saw it before but apparently we came the first time just a day or two after it was installed. Since adults should only be on the slide of the main play structure we get a little nervous when she tries to adventure out where we can't see her in the tunnel and this is not only nice for photos but it shows how CLEAN the place is! Ya can't hide dirt on this thing and it's a busy place. So peek in there if you want to see how much they actually clean. If she falls over or doesn't slide down the right way we don't fear her getting hurt. 6) the pink and purple play castle is the sweetest thing we've ever seen. She spends a lot of time in here and at the kitchen area. 7) we noticed they sell a bunch of the toys they use throughout the facility in case you want to take home a piece of the fun and don't know where to find it. 8) on super hot Central Valley days (or rain for the upcoming season) we now have a place to go get the wiggles out. We have already got our moneys worth for coming here! 9) they sell snacks. Ultimate mom fail when our 2.5 year old started chanting "cheese, cheese!" While I flashed back to setting it on the counter and then leaving. Luckily they sell cold and packaged items in case you forget. Super convenient. 10) educational toys. Everything they have is very methodically planned and laid out. Developmentally they cover all the ages and levels and we love that there's a little something for everyone. the adults may or may not be obsessed with the giant building blocks that are basically monster legos. They're admittedly addicting. They have a performance stage, party rooms, basketball shooting, air hockey and so much more. So: bring socks for everyone (heard they sell some but we don't know the info) because adults and kids have to have them to enter, a mask if you feel more comfortable, a small backpack or Fanny pack for your valuables if that makes you feel better and water for when the kiddos come running back in. Thanks Play Modesto for a great and safe indoor play place. We may be newbies but we are already super fans. Can't wait to try their scheduled events as well! read more
