I've been coming here since I was little for my sports gear needs. Even though it's changed locations through the years, the quality of the business has remained. There's a wide range of sporting gear and accessories including skate guards, nets, and practice goals. It's a thrift type design, so it does depend on what people bring in to sell, but I've never had a hard time finding what I need. They have blade sharpening if you want to bring in your own skates, or they have a huge variety of hockey skates and some figure skates available to buy. Recently, I went in to look for soccer gear. I found matching adult and child soccer balls for my niece and I, and a pair of little cleats for her. They had a huge selection of kids soccer cleats and a good selection of adult ones, too. Pricing is fair, much lower than you'll find buying new and the quality of items is generally very good. The cleats were $15 for small kids cleats, and they were in great condition. read more

Was in the market for some used golf clubs, went in, poked around for a little bit till I found a decent set for 150 dollars, I was happy with my choice until a very honest gentleman told me they would be too small for me and that I need to go back and find a "better bag." I was ready to drop 150 on the bag right then and there no questions asked... but I listened and took the bag back and walked out of the store. I noticed a goodwill next door and said hell why not. I walked out of that good will with a 15 club bag for 30 bucks and smile on my face. My take away from all of this is I want to say thank you to the gentleman who didn't let me walk away with something I would be unhappy with, and secondly I learned that there is always an opportunity waiting just next door. read more

It's really nice to have a Play It Again Sports back in Omaha. Located right next to Canfields, this place is stocked floor to ceiling with any and all of your sporting and workout needs. Into disc golf like me? They had about 200 brand new discs for sale, covering pretty much every main brand, type and mold. Prices were $1-$2 higher than the other shops, though. There were also few used discs and misprints. Hopefully when it warms up in the spring, more people will sell off their old plastic. Would love to have a bag of beat in discs for those rounds in the snow or at night when you're pretty much guaranteed to lose a disc. Disc golf aside, Play It Again will likely have what you're looking for. And at prices a bit cheaper than you'll find elsewhere. That's the beauty of selling used goods, I suppose. read more

Great place to do business, awesome personalized service. I bought a one-year old treadmill that runs like new but for far less than a new one. The business owner, Rich, and his employee Paul brought it over, partially disassembled it so it would fit down my basement stairwell, and set it up perfectly. They went over how to use it and made sure everything was in working order before they left. Both guys are extremely polite. This place will be my first stop for sports and fitness gear from now on. Rich is a career Air Force vet, which made me feel even better about supporting his shop. read more

Sticks and Kicks went above and beyond in helping me out when purchasing some new hockey gear. They took the time to help me find what I needed and answer the questions I had. Since Stick N Kicks closed, I have been looking for a go to for hockey and I think I found it. The two times I've been there the owner himself has been in the store and I noticed he really takes the time helping his customers. Wow... I am so impressed! I'm a Minnesota mom and my college girl is in Omaha. She went shopping for hockey skates and the first place she went to tried to sell her a pair of ill-fitting skates for $400! So my son decided he wanted to play his first year of high school baseball, he hasn't played in a few years, and so we had ZERO equipment at home. Went to several stores where the cheapest bat was $100. Normally that wouldn't bother me, but I hate to invest in something that I'm unsure will be something he enjoys. I was standing in the sporting goods isle at target which doesn't carry high school bats and an employee asked if I had tried play it again. So I thanked him and that's where I ended up. The man who helped us (likely the owner) was insanely helpful in what to buy and was very understanding of my "beginners price point" the guy at checkout was equally as helpful and friendly and I got my son a bag, bat, batting gloves, and a catchers mit that were clearly used, but in no way trashed, all of which were name brand items for $85. I will do all my kiddos sports shopping there in the future! Awesome place, great staff, perfectly priced for what I was looking for! read more
