Found a great set of used Taylormade golf clubs for less than what 2nd Swing was selling them at. The employees are knowledgeable about every sport they sell and are friendly with every customer that walks in. Seems like someone is always getting fitted for hockey gear too. read more

This place has a variety of decent sporting equipment, however, I will never give them my business again. I've had one too many snarky sales people experiences here to spend my money. I'm all about the ma and pa business but not when they are unpleasant to their customers. read more

Play It Again Sports - Sporting Goods Near Me - Berwyn, Pennsylvania

When it's off season or if Dicks is out of stock try play it again for soccer cleats or other sports items. Haven't sold anything to them but my experience buying items have been great. I don't mind items gently used for a solid discount. Really great spot. read more

Play It Again Sports - Cleats for soccer and others sports - Sporting Goods Near Me - Berwyn, Pennsylvania

While they have some good equipment, their prices range from fair to not-so-fair. Much of the equipment is heavenly used and the staff is young and lacks the ability to provide effective help. Trying to trade in equipment is an insult. I understand the need for a profit, but to offer 5-10% of what they will sell it for is just thievery! Don't Go There! read more

Prices are a little high for both new and used equipment Used shoe selection high prices and poor condition

Should be called Bend over again Sports Brought in a complete set of hockey gear in great condition, over $1000 to replace. They offered $65, what a joke. I would give it away before selling to these guys. read more

This isn't the place to go to save money. Prices are maybe 10-20% less than new if you are lucky. Sadly you are better off paying a few extra $$ and get new at the big box stores. read more

No employees or customers are wearing masks here during the current COVID spike. Unfortunately, it was really uncomfortable to be here for that reason and we won't be back again for a while. read more

New owners are taking over and good things are happening at Play It Again. Thank goodness that Ellen (the manager) is staying. Love her. I have sold or consigned 3 pairs of high-end figure skates here. My kid is a competitive figure skater and when she was younger would grow out of thr $200, $300 and $500 boots so quickly. Now, her stuff costs even more but she now needs new skates from wear, not growth, Have a young skater (figure or hockey)? Soccer kid? Tennis? You gotta check out PIAS to sell your old gear. Hey, $20, $30 or $50 in my pocket is more than ZERO dollars in my closet. read more

I've been to PIAS twice to shop their disc golf section and they couldn't have been nicer. They are helpful, attentive and don't make me feel like a newb when looking for discs I need. They also don't overcharge and I love that they have a program where if you buy 10 discs you get one free! read more

Bringing a 12-year-old sports enthusiast boy into play again sports is like bringing a foodie into a 5 star French restaurant. I could practically hear the excitement and bells & whistle's going off in my sons head. Feeling low on patience as I arrived I must admit that I was wary of fully outfitting him for Lacrosse camp. My son is a newbie to lacrosse therefore we needed advice. Advice we got!! I was so thankful for the woman who works there because she stepped right in and found good inexpensive used Gear for my son. She had the patience of a seasoned kindergarten teacher and we were fully outfitted with in 15 minutes of shopping. They have everything sports including but not limited to clothing, shoes, cleats, rackets, mouth guards, exercise equipment, bikes etc.The staff is comprised of sporty high school students and experienced sports mom's and Dad's. If traveling far distance maybe give them a call to make sure they have what you're looking for. My guess is the answer will be yes. They will also take your used equipment. FYI they have some new items as well it. I will be going there next week to get a few tennis rackets, they had a great selection at wonderful prices. read more

Great to see new owner in place and superb service continues! wishing them great success in the future.

Store was packed with stuff... they seemed to have way too much inventory as it felt as if stuff was just piled onto each other. The lady there who I assumed own the place or was a manager seemed really nice. She bought a 3 pound dumbbell weight that another play it again sports wouldnt buy, as well as a pair of baseball cleats. It was $2 for the cleats and $0.75 for the weight however she forgot to give me the 75 cents. The golf section was about 8 clubs, and about 40 range/junk balls. The hockey section was packed with skates all priced accordingly, as well as sticks that were all new... half of the store was lacrosse/ice hockey pads as well. The baseball section was weak with no used bats. She wouldnt buy anything that wasn't in season even though a couple customers came in within the 10 minutes I was in the store asking about golf clubs, so it made little sense to me why she wouldnt stock up on the stuff she was clearly out of stock in. read more

I was extremely impressed right away when first visiting this store by the customer service skills and how well trained the staff are. You will get better friendly customer service here from some high school staff than many professionals. The owner of the store knows way more about hockey skates than I ever would have imagined...from overhearing some conversations potentially more than staff at hockey stores. Knows old school models, what runners from older skates fit new skates, really impressive stuff. There are some great finds in this store, especially with the location being on The Main Line, I highly recommend this place. I have fond memories of Play it Again from when I originally got all my gear in the 90s, and hope this spot on Lancaster Ave stays open for a long time. Really had a great experience there and look forward to returning. Has an extensive selection and some great low price options for kids / those looking to try out a sport without buying all new equipment. read more

Super friendly customer service. The staff was very well informed about the products. I was excited to shop here because they advertised that the staff all wear masks in consideration for the health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately half of the staff were not participating in the safety protocols which were advertised (masks uselessly dangling from one ear) If you care about this kind of thing, I'd wait till the pandemic is over to shop here. read more

Stopped in last week and the business was sold to new owners. Completely new atmosphere and attitudes. Cleaned up and you can make your way around the store now. Prices are fair and right around where you think used sporting equipment should be. I'm glad I stopped in to see read more

I went there for Hockey equipment but the other sections looked substantial as well. They have a huge selection of both new and used equipment for ice/inline hockey. You can literally pick up everything you'll need here. Not only that, but since most of the items are used you can get fully outfitted for less than half of the cost! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. This is where I will be buying most of my equipment from now on. read more

Was looking for some golf equipment and stumbled across this store. They had a wide selection and were pleasant to deal with. Would certainly return for other items. read more

Went to the store to pick up hockey equipment for my 6 year old. The manager, I think, helped us out tremendously, spent a lot of time fitting equipment, told us how to wear all the layers and how to best clean everything. She worked within our budget to get my son outfitted and safe. Knowing nothing about hockey myself, I was grateful to have someone take us by the hand with all the gear, while making my son feel super special at the same time. Thanks for the great experience! We will definitely be back! read more

There are some reviews here from when the place was remodeling. They were right -- the store looked pretty chaotic during the remodel. However, it's looking good now and those reviews are currently out of date. read more
