This place is so much fun. There are hundreds of board games, simulation golf, pinball machines, and many other games to keep you entertained. They also sell little snacks and it's byob. The staff here is super sweet and accommodating. It is also very affordable at $5/hr. Went with two friends and played monopoly for three hours. It is so much fun here and would make for a great date spot as well.

This is a terrible place with horrible management. Staff seemed kind, but would not recommend.

Worst place to shoot pool easily was over 100 degrees in there. I would never go back.

I'm going to come to the rescue for poor LuLu. She (or he?) has been getting creamed on here. I, on…read morethe other hand, have had positive experiences. I've been here twice: the first for a masquerade NYE event in 2014, where it was hard to judge the talent for obvious reasons, and again for a gala post-party on a Friday night in April, where the bottle service was excellent. A very different experience than I'm accustomed to in other clubs where the waitress drops off the goods, pours you one drink, then disappears before claiming her automatic gratuity. As an aside, my guess is the gala people occupied 50% of the club on that particular Friday night so I'm not sure how well they would have done in their absence. Pros: -Great views of the City -Good music, yet not deafening -Good crowd -Outdoor area for nice weather and in the event things get too steamy inside Cons: -No place to dance, as others have pointed out. If they got rid of the silly pool table, they would have a dance floor, albeit a small and awkwardly situated one. Other: Bottle service prices are what you'd expect for a club in Hoboken with a NYC skyline view. $20 valet for anything past the first hour up to the first five hours is not unreasonable considering what a pain it is to park in Hoboken.

Beautiful bar ... it looked like it should be a rooftop bar in Manhattan ... even though it is on…read morethe second floor. There is a little outside area but there was a private party when we were there. With the location, I wonder why there is not a true roof top bar like the Gansevoort but I also know that there are private residences in the W who might want that real estate for themselves (understandably). Incongruously, there is a pool table here too. Music is clubby. The guys downstairs by the elevator to Lulu's were completely unhelpful and really not interested in assisting anyone .... we went up the stairs to the second level conference area because we had no clue as to where Lulu's was. Crowd was typical W crowd ... tourists and dressed up locals. We only had one drink there but had a couple pet peeves ... this is Hoboken, not the meatpacking district. We went there after dinner at Zylo and there were very few people in the lounge, yet every table had a Reserved sign on top of it. They also took all the bar stools away at 10 pm ish. Again ... NOT crowded. And the drink prices included tip. The bartender, who made some good strong drinks and was very nice, pointed that out to us when the bill came. I thought that was very cool and so did my friend, who tipped on top cuz she was so cool. Lulul's has a lot of potential ... great real estate, the W brand, outdoor space, great decor. Hopefully, this place will pick up.

If you had any question that this place is an Irish pub, you will receive the answer with a big Irish and Jameson flag draped proudly as you enter the bar. In addition to their Irish heritage, The Shannon is also a great sports bar and dance club. We love that leashed and friendly dogs are allowed, but only before the night life begins, so get there when they open to enjoy a drink from their full bar, play pool, watch the game, bring your own food, and meet some super cool people. There is a space up front with one bar and a back room with another bar, so plenty of space to enjoy some dog friendly fun! We love that there were a few other dogs enjoying New Years celebrations and it makes us happy that they all met at a local dog park. The staff is great and always checking-in. We heard Sundays are great to bring your dog as it is like an impromptu Yappy Hour! Everything is more fun with fido!

They charge a cover for entry of $10, which isn't common in Hoboken. When you get inside, it has a bar in the front and huge dancefloor in the back with a live DJ performing. The bartenders serve pretty quickly, but that may be due to people not buying drinks frequently or a result of the young crowd that is typically here. They started tacking on a fee for credit card payments also. So, you might want to go with cash. Overall, the Shannon is a good party option if you like Hip Hop and are cool with the young and hood crowd. However, since they charge a bunch of fees that other bars in Hoboken don't it loses stars - after all, it's just a dive bar. If you are willing to pay a big cover, then you may as well go to Birch - the only club in the area - and enjoy a nicer ambiance. Learn more on my blog at www.alwaysthevip.com/blog/
