I watch this sandwich being made and was weary that all items were cut on a cutting board with no paper underneath. When I inquired about cross contamination they responded they don't cut meat on it. We stopped by around 10am for a morning coffee and they weren't busy at all. They do have some seating indoor and outdoor which is great if you just want to chill while you enjoy your coffee. Service wasn't particularly warm or friendly. My Iced Vanilla Latte was pretty standard. It was cold, creamy, sweet, and most importantly, I got the caffeine kick I needed. They have so many sandwich options to choose from that it got overwhelming! I decided not to eat here but if you're looking for a bite to eat, you will have plenty of choices! Decent try!

I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich ($14) - it was surprisingly big with a generous amount of tasty shredded chicken with currants and seasoning mixed in along with a couple large veggie leaves on a brioche bun: simple yet fresh and tasty. I think was a good value for the price considering the amount of chicken. The only thing that would really elevate this to a full 5 stars would be to add a little something on the side to complement the sandwich. The cafe has a really nice chill vibe with a decent amount of seating. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and helpful - they really make you feel the local hospitality. Overall, I am very tempted to give Whealth Kitchen 5 stars for the tasty and fresh food plus friendly service. If they had just added a bit more to the sandwich / on the side to make it truly exceptional, it would've gotten there. Nevertheless, it is a solid 4.5 stars in my book and a great option for a tasty and healthy yet quick/casual breakfast/lunch.

I went with the daily special, a chicken stew served over rice, which was the definition of comfort food. It was warm, flavorful, and hit the spot perfectly on a cold, snowy afternoon. I would definitely eat here again anytime I'm in the area and looking for a fresh, wholesome meal.

However, in past versions, it felt like an insulated group of regulars, and I was hesitant to go in. However, with this latest re-branding, they are a warm and inviting place (I'm sure they were before too, I just didn't know!). The espresso is still great, and the pastries are wonderful. In particular, their empanadas are the absolute best in the Heights, and they experiment a little with them. This morning I had my usual Bacon & Egg, and also tried their new Prosciutto and Mozzarella, both were fantastic. Also a fan of their Beef & Sweet Plantain one. Grabbing quick breakfast now on my way to work has become part of my daily routine here and I can't believe I lived next to this place for so long and missed out! A great locally owned business that everyone should support!

My husband and I each ordered a Griot sandwich which is served with plantain (think a large tostone) in place of bread. I ordered mine with pork and an added egg on top, my husband ordered his with chicken and added bacon. Both were delicious, the kind of meal that leaves you entirely satisfied afterward, but I think we would both give the edge to the pork! Despite being fully satisfied with the sandwich, I finished the meal off with the beignets covered in chocolate sauce. It was a perfect dessert and well worth the calories. My husband also really enjoyed the fresh juice that he got, I don't remember exactly what it was, but it had beets in it. I'd highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

On the afternoon that I visited, I just stuck with a Matcha Almond Milk Latte, which was probably one of the strongest I had ever had! It was definitely more matcha-heavy than it was milk-focused, but I needed some caffeine to wake me up for an evening event that I was attending, so it all worked out for the best! We sat and enjoyed our drinks in the incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Despite being during the hectic holiday season, we felt no need to rush and could simply sit an enjoy the calm. There was an excellent soundtrack playing great tunes that reinforced that sentiment. It all made for a nice lull in the day before our busy evening, and I would love to go back and try their culinary items next time.
