I drove all the way from Richmond Indiana to visit this store. I loved the store, it was WELL stocked, brightly lit, wide selection and had very friendly sales people. I was greeted, thanked, and asked several times if we needed anything. I spent about 1 hour shopping and when i went to check out i noticed i forgot my debit card at home. Mind you I live in Richmond Indiana. I was very ashamed and embarrassed. A store employee named, Morgan, asked me if I had apple pay or anything like that on my phone. I told her no I didn't, but would liked to have it, i just haven't bothered with it. She took roughly 30 mins out of her day, to help me, get that set up on my phone. If it wasn't for Morgan taking the extra step to help me, I would have been almost stranded. Because the fact I needed gas and I was so far from home. We were able to purchase our items from the store, and still yet enjoy the rest of our outing. My daughter asked me to take her there clothes shopping. First and last time ever shopping in that raggedly "clothing store" we bought a bunch of clothes that did not even look that great, on Sunday tried to return the one's that didn't fit on Monday the very next day. They refused to refund me my money, claimed they don't take clothes back, without tags which I'm sure some did not have tags. While the employees were very friendly and professional. I went into the store with my ADA service dog and was immediately approached by the manager named Aliana. my dog was wearing his service dog vest and acting exactly as he should. the manager questioned him being a real service dog beca she said he didn't look like one. she said I had to proof it with documentation which is illegal. I bought a pair of leggings for my daughter. My fault I didn't realize they were as /is until I tried to return them. After I left the store, I looked at them and realized they had a big run down the back with a hole at the top of the run. I turned around and went back in and they wouldn't let me return it. Used clothes stores usually are gross and creep me out. I have had panic attacks at other used clothing stores. I stopped here and took quick glance but liked what I saw. It appeared clean and organized. It was well lite not dark and depressing. It was large and plenty of room between racks of clothing. There were name brand items and nothing looked gross. They are having 70 % off sale. I wasnt looking to buy or sell ... just scoping it out since I was nearby. On the selling end: a family member brought in a large basket of clothes of name brand items (Nike, Lululemon) and before she made it to her car, she received a text saying to come get her stuff as they wouldn't take anything. This was maybe 5 minutes total. There is absolutely no way anyone looked through her items. I've personally bought and sold with multiple Plato's in Cincinnati and never have experienced a 5 minute "come get your stuff" text until today. On the buying end: it's unacceptable how despite this store being one of the most spacious in the region, aisles are still cramped with clothes in inconvenient spaces like the back walls. I suggest moving popular athletic and men's wear brands to a rolling rack instead of by the bathrooms. It caused a huge backlog of people with carts who were rude and pushing each other to get around. Not to mention the dressing room line being backed up in the same space with no employee directing where to go. Overall, this experience soured me and my family member on Plato's. This Plato's Closet location is pretty average overall..meaning it's decent enough, nothing crazy special about it. We went over the weekend to take advantage of their 90% off select clearance sale. We went on Sunday morning so the eligible clothes had been pretty picked over. My sister was still able to find a couple of decent things and I think she paid less than $4 for all the she got. Prices here, like at all other Plato's Closet's, are pretty cheap and reasonable for the quality of clothing they're offering. I've gotten a couple really cheap Adidas jackets in the past that have been soooo much cheaper than at a regular store. Granted everything is used but they have pretty high standards in regards to the quality of stuff they are willing to buy from people. It's pretty much a crap shoot as far as selection goes. It really depends on what kind of stuff they buy off of people. For the most part merchandise cycles through pretty quickly and if you go every couple of weeks you'll have a lot of different items to choose from normally. This location was originally over in the Beckett Ridge area but was moved here supposedly to expand to a bigger store. I mean, yeah it's a bit bigger, but not a crazy amount bigger than I remember the Beckett Ridge location being. I figured for a move like that the store would be double the size or something..but it's not really. Overall your average Plato's Closet location. Good for what it is..a place to purchase used, slightly higher end, clothing at some decent discounted prices. read more

Every time I have ever tried to sell at a Plato's, it has been a waste of time. Maybe this time I'll finally learn my lesson. Brought my stuff here on a weekday afternoon and was told it would be ten minutes, and that they would text me when their review of my stuff was complete. This worked for me, as I wanted to walk down to Cavu Coffee for a snack anyway. So I meandered over to Cavu, grabbed a muffin, walked back to my car and sat in it for about 15 minutes. After those 15 minutes, I walked back inside wandered around, waiting for my text to come through. I didn't get the damn text until nearly 35 minutes after dropping off my stuff and all they wanted was two shirts. I had a bag full of American Eagle pants and other cute tank tops, but no. For the amount of time I spent, it was a colossal waste. I hate Plato's. Period. read more

The first one was talking down to her co workers , treating them like a child thinking no one was over hearing her as well acting like she was I charge but obviously wasn't , and just complete degrading her coworker and her name was Amari so watch out for her, fake niceness and the second employee was just rude, I had questions about where I could find a nice collard shirt and gave me a look like I was stupid and pointed without even saying anything, because I guess she was too busy to SAY where the shirts were and her name was Taylor . Finally I wrap up with the fact I saw no manger I've been to this location many times and have YET TO SEE A MANAGER, and have avoided the girls due to them making me feel like they are superior to me and I'm just a customer, but this run in I had , and I can only expect a place to be run by immature , full of attitude and A GOD COMPLEX girls if their manager does the same to them or isn't their half the time to help, advice or say no. I brought 3 loads of clothes on 3 different days last week and ended up making a total of $125!! I had never sold clothes at plato's before, but each day they got me in and out within 10 minutes and they still gave me back more than half of what I brought. A lot of the stuff they didn't take was winter/fall clothing, and they explained to me at check out that if I brought them back when they were in season they would probably buy some of them! I don't understand all of the bad reviews for this location. You just need to have cute clothes and they'll take them! read more

My husband was just in the West Chester store and waiting for items to be looked at. The lady at the counter was playing on her cell phone so much that it was taking forever. He walked up to the counter and politely asked if she would stop playing on her phone, as he and others were waiting. She went and told her manager, who defended her, and he got kicked out. Since when is playing on your cell phone good policy while working? We will never be shopping their stores again and will tell others to not shop there either.
