Seller Beware!!! Brand Name ....Whatever!! I went to Snooty Fox hoping to sell some excess from my closet and my husbands. I brought in my bags and hangers of washed, dried, pressed mens shirts with matching ties VanHuesen, Geoffrey Beene, Hagger, Perry Ellis along with MK mint condition Saffiano Travel Satchel in Luggage several pairs of new Vintage Leather Clogs By GB and Stride Right that I had never worn. Several Tops by Notations, Elements, Calvin Klein, Worthington, Alex Marie, Michael Kors, Chicos. A Leather Patchwork Blazer, Fraaz Wrap, Dillard's Fur Two Sided Zip up Vest, Calvin Klein Sleeveless Fleece long Zip up, and 2 Department 18 Toggle Wrap Plaid Sweater Wraps and then I waited and walked around. After a bit the woman said after she eyed my things went through everything. We don't take Men's Clothes shoved a bag over them all and wrinkled them to hell and back. You can bring the Bag and Shoes back later. She took all the Notations and Elements Clothing and Leather Patchwork Blazer and Returned the other stuff WTF? Bring the other stuff back it is late August / September and already you're asking for Fall things ....Well? SERIOUSLY...okay I know they take Men's I looked in their section in the store and my things were really nice compared to the outdated crap they had left on their rack!! So don't lie to my face!! To keep all the really low end stuff and to return Name Brand things and fall/cooler weather things I couldn't understand and keep the Leather Blazer to sell. Ever hear that old saying if you have it they will come and get it!! Why wouldn't you want nice clothes in your store why advertise high dollar and sell low end things? It just didn't make sense. I returned about a month later only to be told we donated your things...okay this is where it gets good I asked the Lady after presenting my tag for them to check if I had any money. They told me they didn't sell any of the things I brought in and they had to donate it. So I decided to show them a picture I took of that Patchwork Leather Blazer with a Snooty Fox tag on it.!! Should have seen her face it was priceless.!! Apparently one of my friends was sad I got rid of it and went and purchased it for herself. I will never do business with Snooty Fox again and I will never shop there again!! They lie and rip people off and sell low end clothing. After showing the photos to the Lady and asking how much I made off the sale I was asked to leave the store. DON'T SELL YOUR THINGS HERE!!

Filled with…read morefashionable garments and trinkets with a vintage flare, I felt like I was browsing through rooms of European merchandise. Each area is categorized by color: blues to the right, browns and whites straight ahead, violets in the back of the store. Open doorways weave in and out of the dividing wall, allowing customers to float freely from continent to continent... er... section to section. Beautiful, plush scarves caught my eye, as well as some of the old writing table decorations. One room in the back was filled with an assortment of accessories, like jewelry, hair barrettes, and hats. Incredibly well organized, this shop is like strolling through a fashion museum. Prices were a little higher than expected, and although there were two salesladies in the store, neither of them acknowledged that I was there. That bumped Vintage Marketplace down to three stars. I'd still stop back for a browse though. The window display changes frequently (and, in my opinion, is the most elaborate in Hyde Park), so something new will likely draw me in again.

When I walked in the salesperson was behind the counter, but each room I went in to, she followed me. Had such a sad experience today, and am still shaken up…read more This is a longer review, but with respect to the other associate, I want to make sure I'm clear with where the issues originated. We rented some beautiful pieces for our show this month, and Marianne was amazing in getting everything set up and ready for us. When returning most of the items, I made the mistake of returning a shirt to the wrong location, so I had to come back the next week to complete everything. I was ready to pay an extension fee, but she was kind and allowed for that margin. We had a dress and lace-up shirt to bring back as well. My mother dropped off the dress first, and was told sternly by Nancy there would be a $40 damage fee. I wasn't sure what that was for, so when I stopped by to drop off the lace up shirt, I asked. I have a new costume team, so if mistakes were made, I want to make sure they know where they must improve. I have no problem paying the fee- prices here are very fair- but something happened after I asked what the fee was for. Nancy stormed away without speaking a minute, planted at another counter, and then proceeded to tear into me, loud enough for the room full of customers to hear, and potentially even the adjacent room. I think she somehow concluded I was trying to get out of a fee, which upset her. Despite me trying to communicate that wasn't the case, not only did she stop listening but she threw insults. A few of Nancy's choice sentences: "You are so snooty" "Your energy is killing me" "Has anyone ever told you that before? It's true" "You sound so snippy" "Everything you say is so passive aggressive" -I replied I was being genuine, she said, "I don't believe you." "I have been doing this for 40 years so if there's an issue I know it's not me." "Blip blip blip blip" (mimicking me talking and cutting me off for asking where to drop off the final shirt this week) Even if I was trying to negotiate damages, you still shouldn't use public shaming as a tactic. The customer is not always right, but I do believe that standards of mutual respect should be held in all interactions. Marianne was kind, professional, helpful, and honestly made the magic of clothing and performance come alive for me and my cast that came with me. Nancy was hostile, insulting, aggressive, and never even created space for response. I do have the interaction recorded, so all details can be corroborated. I'm not the person to post it (public shaming is not my method) but I'm happy to share the recording with the owners for reflection. I do hope moving forward that a space where artists can create that much magic together can also be a space of safety, gentleness, and mutual respect.

They print and sell their own shirts. Largely Hamilton shirts but a few of their own. They can do custom work if you ask, too. On shirts or furniture. Or business cards. Pretty much everything. The store is this big jumble of jewelry and old toys. T-shirts and framed pictures and signs. There's a huge map painted on the wall. It's bright and cheery, lending a sort of "We love Ohio" feel with a warm and familiar reminder of a schoolhouse. It's fantastic. The number of shirts there is pretty impressive. I had one printed. I had so many questions, I'm sure I was a bit obnoxious, but everyone was incredibly nice. I even had a tour of the facilities, including the back part of the store where the big dryer for the ink on shirts is and the big six shirt silk screener is. All the reclaimed materials they use for newly designed pieces and art pieces is back there, too. They were making a huge desk for the tattoo place down the street when I walked through the shop. It was gorgeous. Unsung Salvage is run by a bunch of family members and it feels like it. It's a really nice space. Relaxed. It smells nice. I don't know if it's paint fumes or potpourri. Either way. Some places are uncomfortable to shop in or I just feel strange asking questions but shopping here, talking to everyone, purchasing, supporting my city, it made me really proud. I'd love to learn how to do what they do. They said they might be working on a screen printing night event. Unsung Salvage also makes appearances at events such as Operation Pumpkin. If you aren't just driving by, maybe call first to check the hours. It's worth it. Street parking in front of the store is limited but if you go around the side of the block there is very convenient "pocket parking" available. Be sure to check out the lights on the ceiling. They're from the Champion Paper Mill.
