In MY opinion, this is the best thrift store around! It is a place that not only holds a lot of fond memories for me (me and my mom, before she passed, this was our tradition- to thrift together at Valley Thrift), it has the best prices around! Who can beat discounted thrift?!? The array of everything from homegoods, furniture, purses/bags, shoes, and my favorite their clothing! I love Valley Thrift! I've been to my fair share of thrift stores, and this wins! Now that I have moved out of state, this is the one place I look forward to coming when I visit home. As for their service, it is average, staff will help you get in and out at the register, but that is all you may get. Lol. None the less, what they may lack in service, they up for in the selections! This is the best thrift store that I know of. The prices will seem high when you first get there but then you look up at the sign that tells you which items are going to be marked down for that day. And generally you can get a good deal. Their merchandise is higher quality. Kept clean and organized. And the workers are very willing to help. read more

I do not know where to begin! This used to be a really nice thrift store but now the prices are so outrageous. I mean outrageous. Their tops are $8 $9 dollars sone even $11. Ceramics that are broken are very $19.99. Even other things they're just so so expensive. It really made me so depressed. I tried finding something. Nice! There were some things that were for 299 399 but most of the stuff was way over $6.07 dollars you're better off going to tops $5.29 none of this 11 , 12, 9 dollars ridiculous. you can go to Walmart or Macy's bargain for cheaper prices than for these used clothing that is donated. I went through and picked an outfit a a bottom just to see what price I came up with and it came to almost $60. read more

I also hope the employees are being paid fairly ( especially considering the high prices) as all the ones i interacted with cannot speak but a handful of words in English. Large Thrift store with items individually priced. They have clothing in all categories, shoes, purses, household items, and even furniture. They also have glass cases at the front with higher priced, nicer items. I saw several really nice pairs of sneakers and decent furniture. Most of the jewelry was costume jewelry. They do offer discounts on certain colored tags each day and every major federal holiday, the entire store is 50% off. There are fitting rooms and restrooms available. I will say some of the prices are high, so I would suggest going on a discount day/Holiday. My first visit ever just so happened to be on a holiday, it was surprisingly not that busy (nothing like the Goodwill 50% off days used to be). All the check outs are self scanners. If you have OCD this is not for you. There is no organization to items like kitchen and electronic, however they had a large furniture section and the kids area was pretty large. They did have a pretty good overall variety of clothing but the staple there tags to the clothing. I took away 2 stars for organization on items and the staples on clothing. read more

Everything is all together for the most part (clothes with clothes) houseware things were not "organized", but my daughter and I had fun discovering all the treasures! We enjoyed this store so much......BUT, some of the prices are outrages, so much so, I wouldn't pay for that item at that price brand new. It was fun though. read more

The prices in the Valley Thrift stores have gotten so high that it is actually cheaper to shop at retail stores! I'm a frequent thrifter, as is my daughter and have been for many years. A very large portion of my clothing, accessories and decor have come from thrifting. But the prices at the Valley are now more expensive for used clothing than in retail stores for brand new clothing. And I'm talking about clothing that is stained, with rips or comes from online cheap shopping sites that charge only pennies for the clothing and it's priced liked it's perfect condition high end clothing. Same goes for the decor/glassware shelves. It makes no sense to shop at the Valley thrift when you can buy name brand clothing on sale at Macy's for less than the cheap, damaged clothing at the Valley. Decor is cheaper at Marshall's and the like than it is at the Valley. And the vintage stuff? If it's found, it's marked up to crazy prices to try to compete with all the 'resellers' trying to make a quick buck. I won't be shopping in a Valley Thrift for the foreseeable future. read more

The prices are way too high. There will be a tag from the dollar store on the item and it's priced higher. The percentage off system they use is a scam. They pull all the items once they reach 50% off, take them to the back re-sticker them as new items at a higher price than when it first time they went to the floor. Probably half of the stuff they have on the shelves is above retail price. read more

One of the bigger thrift stores in the area and a little sad to say that the prices have gone up to much for a thrift store. The other location seems to at least be keeping the majority of there inventory more reasonable. I am impressed with how the staff does keep the store looking tidy and well stocked. Everyone working there is staying busy and accommodating if you need the help. I was also grateful that the store had working air and fans to keep it cool during a hot summer day. My wife and I go to multiple thrift stores on her birthday and usually always make it out to this location. Last year at this time we walked out with a whole shopping cart and didn't spend more than $40-50. This year however was a bit of a downer due to the higher prices and we only walked out with two dresses and a sweatshirt costing $30. It was disappointing and wonder why the cost of items are so different compared to the other location? I also found it to be less crowded then usual indicating consumers might not be happy with how much they're spending, just my opinion of course. You will be able to find some deals but will have to look closely. I recommend looking at the other location over this one and hope that this shop can find a way to make selections more reasonable priced for their customers. read more

Prices have gotten so bad here it's not worth going to at all. These are donated items being sold for MORE than retail. Not just more - but far more! This place use to be great to shop at, but management is running it into the ground. You don't make money by raising prices so high that you drive all your customers away. You make money with good deals and a lot of customers. Simple math. Also, barely anyone that works here speaks English. They also ruin old items with their price sticker placement. I could go on and on, but the point is this place is a waste of time now. It's obvious that they are sending the "good" stuff elsewhere. This place gets talked up ALoT in my friend circles so I finally made a decision to go and I wasn't impressed. Yes they have a huge space but it mostly holds junk. Nothing is marked as far as sizes go for outfits. They may have treasures but you will need to spend most of your day doing that and I'd rather enjoy my weekend. I am a loyal Valley shopper for the past few years- it's always been unorganized but reasonably priced. Since the recent management change, their prices are criminal. This is just one example of many of a time an item (that is DONATED) is priced the same or more as the original cost. We saw a trinket box as well that sold for $6 at goodwill, and priced $16 at Valley. I will not be returning and am disappointed considering this is one of the main thrifting stores in the area. This is the nicest cleanest thrift store I ever went to. It does NOT smell musty and its not over crowded. As soon as you walk in there is a TV screen by the front entrance and it show what color tags are marked 25%, 50% or 75% for that day. Each day the colors changes. I get really good deals and never leave there without good deals. My best deal was when I found a pair of lightweight Ray Ban mens Liteforce polarized sunglasses for 99 cents. I figured they were fake but they were barely worn. I was going to put them in the boat. When I got home I checked online and they were expensive. I cant wait to go back. read more

That said, they used to be a great bargain hotspot... but in the last year their prices have gotten sooo High, that you can hardly find a deal at all! But if you don't mind paying Mall prices for someone else's junk that the greedy owner got free, then this is the spot to go! They have a lot of DollarTree items marked up to $5 to $7 per item, and used towels for $5 to $10, when you can get them at Kohls, Penney's, or Walmart new on sale for $5 to $7. I frequent all the thrift stores in the tristate. This used to be my favorite thrift store, but it has gotten SO expensive. A couple years ago, you could find items for as low as 9 cents with most things being closer to a few bucks. Now many items are between $5-$13. A lot of the prices are close to regular retail. All the thrift stores have gotten more expensive, but Valley Thrift has gotten so expensive I won't be back.
