I enjoyed shopping at this thrift store! I found the priced to be fair on the clothes but the misc. stuff was marked a bit high. I did find a nice coat, 2 designer bras with the tags still attached, two T-shirts, and a killer pair of jeans! I looked the jeans up online and Macy's sells the exact same pair for $86.00! We wanted to go thrifting and decided to stop by here. There's plenty of parking. They have a lot of carts here. It's a little cramped here but there's a lot of stock. I was able to find a suitcase and two books. They have days they have things on sale. They have a lot of kid's clothes too. Everyone who works here is very helpful. I want to start by saying St. Vincent's has been, and still is, my primary source for clothing and home goods, and has been since I was a child and my grandmother would take me. The Estes location, rich in selection, is where my children (ages 22-16) took me for Mother's Day, Sunday 5.11.25 and we found many treasures. As this was my first mother's day as a 50 year old, I was extra excited about the "senior" discount available on Sundays. However, in trying to surprise me, my kids bought things I picked out while I was still shopping in the store. When I noticed what happened, I immediately brought it to the attention of the assistant manager, who told me to wait, while she figured it out. The assistant manager then left me at the counter for 15+ minutes, finally, I just went to find the assistant mamager, who when I found her, nonchalantly told me, there was nothing she could do. I understand policies are in place for a reason, including return policies, but this could have been easily corrected at the time that I brought it to the store's attention, but instead, I was left waiting for information and then immediately disregarded when it was clear that I wasn't going to leave after the assistant manager ghosted me at the counter. Today I went with several boxes of things to donate. It was raining and I waited for 10 minutes to get a spot to park at the donation entrance. There were two men there when I walked up to the door. They saw me and walked away. I rang the door bell a dozen times and waited another 10 minutes. When no one bothered to come to the locked door I left. I will be taking my donations elsewhere from now on. This is totally unacceptable. read more

Went back to give it another chance after a day at their outlet store, and I'm sorry to say but it's gotten worse since my last review. Not even Goodwill has gotten this greedy. Every single pair of jeans with a recognizable brand on them, even newer Levi's with holes in them, has been up-priced to $13.99 with clear tag. UNACCEPTABLE. All housewares ranged in price from $5 for someone's rotten kitchen spoon to $50 for a griddle with stains all over. RUDE employees shelving items could not speak English, yet thought it was funny to take their cart of clothes and nearly ram into myself and an elderly woman browsing the women's shorts. Reason why? They wanted to block themselves off from us to use their cell phones on the clock. Practically everyone I encountered walked out without buying anything or very little. The store is packed full of every good there is with no room to look and see. That should tell you something: this has turned from thrift shop into a certified museum and storage facility. LOWER YOUR PRICES. You get this stuff for free. Fire whoever is making the current pricing structure immediately. Will not give it a third chance. read more

My daughter and I really like this store. I spend too much money here. We both enjoy thrifting and just had a day of thrift shopping at several stores around Cincinnati. This one is our favorite. It's large. There's a large furniture section, housewares, books, and a large clothing selection. The clothing is so organized at this store. It's one of the reasons we enjoy this store so much. It's separated by type of clothing, size of clothing and color of clothing. Even the housewares sections is organized and separated. Example: all wooden items are grouped together - all cup, glasses and mugs are together - all knick knacks are together. The only downside, other than how much I spend here, is that the cashiers are very unfriendly. Actually pretty rude. There is one cashier that is super friendly and we always hope we end with her. read more

I am not a fan of St. Vincent de Paul. I understand that they are a resource in Cincinnati for a lot of people but they could be doing soo much better. Just hear me out. I understand that they get a ton of donations but the condition of some of the things they sell is appalling. What's even more appalling is the prices that they charge for many of these items. Imo, I shouldn't be asked to pay $80-120 for a dresser, then still have to clean, fix, and refinish it for it to look decent in my house, especially because they do get sooo many donations on a daily basis. I just feel like there are other, better thrifting options in Cincinnati where items are clean, cheap, and in good usable condition without needing much work to repurpose them. These other options are also a resource to many in the community. Also, I think other St. Vincent de Paul locations are cleaner than this one and have things that are in better condition. They still tend to overprice things though. If you don't have a furniture voucher for St. Vincent de Paul and are planning on spending cash anyway, I'd try Facebook Marketplace or other local thrift stores for your discounted furniture needs. read more

I used to enjoy Saint Vincent but I just had a miserable experience this last time. I would not say that this place is a toddler friendly place. None of the carts had the proper buckles or latches for kids to buckle in. I tried to shop around but it was nearly impossible without being able to latch my child into the cart because like most toddlers he tries to stand up in the seat or move around. Also the women's restroom did not even have a changing table. I would not say this is family friendly place to go to. It is incredibly outdated, unorganized, and ignores providing simple necessities for mothers such as a changing table and seat belts for the carts. It is sad that they have lost a regular customer just because I wanted to be able to shop there with my one year old and they made it difficult for me to be able to do so. I also mentioned the lack of seat belts in all the carts because they are all broken to the woman at the register and she was extremely apathetic. read more

If I walk in here it's almost assured that I will be walking out with something, if I'm not then I haven't looked hard enough. This is the ultimate thrift store, almost no matter what you're looking for they have it and if they don't just come back in a week. It seems like they have hundreds of thousands of pieces of clothing, nick nacks, books, glassware, electronics (older stuff), records (my fav section), furniture, shall I go on? It's in a little bit of a sketchy neighborhood and some of the patrons are a little odd so expect some good people watching while you are there too. Non of that means they are selling crap. I have found several very nice shirts there, some glasses for my alcohol, and a very nice armoire that I'm in the process of refinishing. Prices here are super reasonable. Dress shirts are anywhere from $0.99 to about $3.00, furniture varies in price but there's not much that's priced over $100 and if it is then it's a huge set. Every week there's a different sale so if it's not on sale this week come back next and it will be. If you're a regular thrift store shopper then this should be a must stop for you. read more

I stopped in here one day, mainly because I'd never been in before and I was surprised. This store is BIG, and it seems like every shelf, every clothing rack, every corner of the store is stuffed. There is so much stuff here! It looks like they've even started using rooms in the warehouse-style facility that weren't intended for display and set up racks and shelves in there. The thing about it is that, while there is a ton of stuff here, it takes a long time to go through it all. Some of the areas seem kind of thrown together and sorting through all of it can be a chore. It's a little unorganized in that regard. Some people like the "treasure hunt" aspect of thrift stores, so if that's your thing, you're in luck here. read more

I can appreciate your plight, but things seem to be randomly stored and I just can never find what I'm looking for. I typically shop for funky clothes though and maybe that's my downfall. This thrift store is huge but the selection is not always good. Often game boxes are empty or missing significant pieces, the pants are mostly taper leg, and its hard to find a price list. But you can find things here on occasion if you dig. Recently, I bought two rolls of streamers and a punch bowl with 12 cups for my Golden Globes party for $6. They often have a line but it moves especially if they send a second cashier. I go to this location because it is the closest thrift store to my home. And they usually have good daily deals and BearCash coupons. read more

This St.Vincent de Paul has began to falling apart since the old store manager left. The new store manager is never there in the evenings and i was told doesn't work Friday or Saturday!!! That's ridiculous considering that is like the busiest time probably at the store. She's never available and doesn't call back or the assistant don't give her the messages. The guy cashier is very rude. The only people very helpful at the store is the young Hispanic manager b something and I love Dee the black assistant who came back she's nice to me, very fair with her prices. I love this store and have tried to express some concerns directly with the new store manager but with no avail. read more

If you're willing to put in some time and labor to search through the racks you're bound to find what you're looking for. We have also found other items such as kitchen appliances, area rugs (best to clean first), lamps, records, a sweet two person tent ($5), quality leather shoes, and my most recent score was a men's transitional Columbia jacket (like new) which go for $75 on Amazon, yours truly picked it up for $10. (In response to comments about staff)The staff can be a little rough around the edges but they are doing the lords work dealing with some of the clientele and putting clothes on the community's back so they get a pass in my book. Additionally, they are very kind and wonderful to shoot the crap with if they have a minute to spare between reracking shelves and moving heavy furniture. (And dealing with the more unruly shoppers). Overall, with the proper amount of time I leave this Vinney's having found what I was looking for, be it professional attire or something to bum around town in on the weekends. I also sometimes walk away with other unplanned treasures (impulse buys). I appreciate the staff for their dedication and feel satisfaction in knowing I'm getting a bargain and helping the environment in my own small way by shopping sustainably. This is a huge thrift store. I don't shop here often but it's my go-to place when I want to drop off donations.

First I just have to acknowledge and say I love what this place does for the community. It positively impacts so many people and this store in particular has almost everything you can imagine. I've been here tons of times dropping stuff off but today I came looking for a pressure cooker. I found one with a great seal within 3 minutes of walking in. They sale clothing and kitchenware, appliances, music and jewelry etc. for a more than fair price and I often come looking for antiques and nice old neckties. This store is different than the other SVDP stores because it is the "Super store". Much larger in size and they carry tons of more product. I'd start a search here if you are looking for something specific. I looked in craigslist before coming here and the cheapest pressure cooker I found was for $12 and 42 miles away/84 miles roundtrip. I drove 5 miles and paid $6 here. Score!!!! read more

Generally have had decent experiences here,but this morning was a whole other situation.My daughter and I came to St Vincent De Paul around 12-1230 on 12/21/18- store wasnt crowded at all,there were a few customers.I waited in line,and stepped up after the person in front of me had left,and greeted the cashier that stared blankly at me with no response besides annoyance.I started taking my items off of hangers and when I finished the cashier picked up the stack.of hangers and angrily threw them across the space,which made a loud noise,so other people looked over to see what had happened.She then.proceeded to act even more agitated to have to ring us out.I guarantee if it has not happened already,you will be receiving complaints regarding this cashier,she was absolutely terrible. read more

If you want to find the good stuff it seems like you need to go on a thursday or a Wed. If you go on the weekend it seems to be hit and miss. The customer service could be a little better. Sometimes if there is no price on something they make a huge deal out of it. Some of the stuff that they put out really is junk and should have been thrown out or recycled, but most of it is in good shape. I think that sometimes they forget that they are a thrift store because honestly for some of that kids stuff you can come off cheaper at a regular store on the clearance rack. But when they have the half price days and what not then that is a deal. Overall this a an okay store and yes I think you should go and would go again. read more

I just donated a bedroom set and I accidentally left some clothing in one of the drawers. So today I call to see if they can recover my items. I was told that the manager said he's not going check for them because they are now considered a part of the donation. Very upset with SVDP right now. Been shopping here for years and never had any issues. We found a $150 Kitchenaid stand mixer on Saturday. Tested it in the store, it worked. Brought it home, wiped it down.... doesn't work. Now the store is refusing to take it back. This is BS. You're a "non-profit" organization. If something gets returned, it doesn't hurt your bottom line b/c it was given to you, for free! If the same thing had happened at Walmart, they'd give me my money back for selling a defective product. This is horrible customer service & it's a shame since you're supposed to be helping people. read more

One of my all time favorite thrift stores! Besides the fact that it is SUPER close, I also always find at least one thing that I absolutely love. I usually start off in the "random stuff" aisles to see if I can grab anything for future DIY projects. They have old frames, silverware, little figurines, and much, much more. They also have a TON of women's clothes and a furniture section! The service is nice, as well. I would highly recommend it if you're in the area! read more
