There is a realtor who works here- Kyle Korman who is the most crooked sleezy…read more realtor to ever exist. I made the MISTAKE of using him as my agent when I recently bought a house in Bakersfield . During the process I asked about non-permitted alterations that had been done to the home . He lied to me and said none had been done. He then changed the story to ... the sellers did do non- permitted alterations but that they did not need a permit. Another outright lie. I called KERN County Code Compliance and they assured me that the alterations that the sellers did absolutely required permits. So this moron lied over and over again. So now I have to sue the sellers, their agent and Korman for deliberately concealing non-permitted alterations to the home. Thanks Mr Korman ! Great job . He is lousy at negotiating. I asked that the sellers replace the garbage disposal and install a security door . He promised those items would be provided over and over. Even if he had to provide them himself. Never happened. The guy is the worst real estate agent . Stay away from him and Premiere realty at all costs . Or you will be sorry. There are too many great agents out there. Don't make the mistake I did! My issue is when we got into the home what the realitor said she would gift to us did not happen. We had issues that were suppose to be fixed and they were not, the appraiser was paid off or something to sign off the item I'm upset about. If the agent would have just been honest we could have been more prepared . I have text stating from agent yes all fixed no more issues.. You don't hide behind God and lie to people , it not right! Then we called her 3 times for the home warranty she promised. 1 month into the house I call for claim and she never paid for warranty. We called her right away and she then took care of it with a excuse. Do your clients mean nothing to you? No referral here...

We lived at Retreat for two years and we never had any problems with crime or other safety…read moreconcerns. The pool/barbecue area is very nice and my family enjoyed many good memories there. Nice poolside loungers, chairs, and tables. We absolutely loved the open kitchen as we spent a lot of time in the kitchen; however, the refrigerator definitely needs to be upgraded. The gym is clean and serves its purpose; however, I wish there was more lighting in the gym at night because it was a bit spooky when lights went into power-save mode at around 9PM. Although the poolside fireplace is a nice touch, it was often not working. However, when it did it sure was nice. Last July 4th we enjoyed watching fireworks over the lake as we sat near the operational fireplace in the cozy sofa loungers. Unfortunately, lack of timely maintenance is a definite downside of residing here, as well as tight parking is allowed only with a limited amount of parking passes for tenant purchase per month. Needless to say, having guests over will require some planning with either a guest pass for a minimal purchase, or they can park in the front of the office after hours. Do not play with parking or you run the risk of being towed, although management always tried to work with us. Good communication is key in any tenant/landlord relationships, and the gals in the front can be very helpful if you just communicate with them. However, I gave four stars simply for lack of timely maintenance. For us, safety and a good school district was a BIG plus, so we were willing to overlook minor inconveniences that we saw previously on YELP reviews prior to move in. When we signed the lease we also knew about tight parking restrictions, so one cannot act ignorant of the facts. We enjoyed being close to shopping centers and restaurants. Also, if you have kids that attend William Bimat Elememtary or Norris Middle School, the bus stop is conveniently located right in front of the office area. We enjoyed using the community garden and incorporated plant science lessons into our kids weekend learning. I homeschooled (Valley Oaks) one child for the two years we were there and noise was never an issue. On a side note, water is not included in rent and is billed monthly through another agency. I wish this was included in the rent because it would have been one less thing for me to remember, but still, it's not a high monthly bill--$35-$40 depending on family size. So often the bills would get lost in my emails. Overall, it was a pleasant and safe community. When we moved in June 2019, we cleaned the unit with concerted effort, taking time to leave the place in the best condition possible making turnover time much quicker. We were glad to find out we are getting something back, which was great to recoup the cost of cleaning products, additional supplies, and time put in cleaning as we commuted between Fresno and Bakersfield to clean the unit. So regardless of what you hear, it is possible to get some of your deposit back, and we even had a cat.

When I asked for security footage, conveniently there was none. At the end of the lease, they WILL bill about $700 for cleaning. They will keep your deposit. Make sure you give your notice EXACTLY 30 days before the end of it or they WILL turn your lease into a month-to-month tenancy and charge you. They charged me $142 for two days! Because I turned in my notice April 2 and not April 1st. Further, they charged me $455 for PAINTING! Unreasonable, unconscionable move out fees. You pay them $20,000+, they ask for more. DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you want to be charged outrageous move out fees. Further, don't expect them to be reasonable about it. They won't. Save your yourself the headache, I wish I did. I have NEVER left a bad review about a complex. But this place deserves it. TLDR; paid $21,400, had $4,000 worth of my property stolen out of the garage, charged an outrageous amount for painting, make sure you turn in your notice exactly 30 days before or they'll charge you. Spend your money somewhere the management is reasonable.

My experience working with Lucy was extremely disappointing and unprofessional…read more One of the most serious issues was that she renewed the tenants' lease without my consent or prior approval. As the property owner, I expected to be informed and consulted before any lease renewal was finalized. Communication was also consistently poor. Lucy was often unresponsive and did not provide documents or information I requested. For example, after repeated repair requests that did not appear to be normal wear and tear, I asked for an inspection. I attended an inspection with her, but she never provided the inspection results or the pictures I requested afterward. I also specifically asked to be included in the final walkthrough, yet I was not informed or included. I was very frustrated that key decisions regarding the security deposit appeared to be made without my involvement. When I later conducted my own walkthrough, the condition of the property raised major concerns. In my view, the damage went well beyond ordinary wear and tear. The house had a cockroach infestation, there were oil stains on the garage floor and driveway, and some ceiling fans appeared to have been pulled away from the ceiling. What made the experience even more concerning was learning from neighbors that there had reportedly been frequent police activity at the property and that the number of occupants may have exceeded what was outlined in the lease. Based on the overall condition of the property and the lack of oversight, I was left with little confidence in how the tenancy was managed. Overall, I found Lucy to be unprofessional, unreliable, and lacking in transparency. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with her.

When it came time to list my house, I called four agents in to evaluate my property. Robin did not try to groom me with compliments to get the listing, nor did she varnish the reality of my property with flattery. Instead she came prepared with data, then guided me in how to get the price I wanted for my home. She gave me a very straight read on what she thought it would take to sell my house. The market was just starting to turn downward. She was encouraging but not unrealistic. It took me many weeks to get my 1925 Craftsman to the level I thought it would need to be at to sell in a competitive market. She even supplied the handyman when I was starting to give up on a long list of repairs. Bill Hubbard was superb and reasonable. As well, she suggested a licensed termite contractor who saved me over $1000 from others who had bid the job. When I could not be there for an appointment, or needed something checked on the property, she was like my sister lending a hand. Once listed, the house instantly caught an offer at its first open house, but trying to later close with FHA and a prickly home inspector was a nightmare. She walked me through each and every hurdle. I had to leave town near the end of the closing process. She and Bill covered my expenses to keep the house moving through escrow (more repairs!), all on faith, since they really did not know me, but were kind enough to trust they would be repaid. The house finally closed, everyone received their money, the buyers got a great house, and I got my asking price. In gratitude, and as part of my repayment to Robin, I am writing this review to say you will not find a more knowledgeable, on-top-of-it agent in Bakersfield, nor one with a kinder heart. Thank you, Robin Williams. There is a special place in heaven for people like you. See you on the next sale.

I lived in this apartment complex since 2019 and the first…read more4 years me and my daughter were very happy to be here, the previous management was amazing, professional and friendly, over the past few years since Arturo move into management, I have experienced multiple incidents where I was treated unfairly and spoken to in a disrespectful and dismissive manner. The nature of this treatment has made living in the property extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable. My dog is not even free to be outside the patio when I'm cleaning my apartment because according to him the dog is considered unsupervised even if I'm inside the apartment, while other residents have their dogs outside all the time with no issues. More so recently on Memorial Weekend, I was subjected to treatment that I believe constitutes discrimination and falls well below the standards of professional conduct. Specifically, an interaction with him that occurred at the residential pool area in front of my own guests and many others including his own. During the few moments I was not present Arturo approached my guests berating them with questions asking if they lived there, who they lived with and how many people were allowed in the pool area. He then stated to my guests that they were not on the lease and that I was only able to have 2 guests outside the lease present at the pool including children and walked back over to the grill. During that time he did not communicate with any other residents present at the pool to confirm that they lived there and see if they had the regulated amount of guests with them that is stated on the lease. What was uncomfortable and unprofessional about this situation was that I did try to reason with Arturo upon arriving to the pool, informing him that my guests drove 45min to come visit me, and I didn't think was fair for them to drive back home, he said that was not his fault that I did not read my lease agreement and should read it. As I mentioned since I moved here I've seen residents bring their friends to the pool area without any problem but in my case he said he had to enforce the rule of the two guests and if we were going to do things like that to do it when he wasn't present. I then had to have my guests pack up all of their things and had to ask the kids to get out of the pool and had to explain why they couldn't stay to swim. Apparently no expectations could be made for one day, we just wanted to enjoy the pool with good company. I invited the above mentioned couple over to also look at the place because they were looking to relocate to Bakersfield and he kicked out my guests, perfect example of hospitality and professionalism. I can guarantee they will not be applying after this experience. Given these circumstances, I will be concluding my residency at this apartment complex at the term of my lease.
