Not very big of a selection. As small as it was you would think they had sometime for housekeeping. Wouldn't waste the drive.

Kiko created a beautiful custom dress perfectly from my inspiration. I loved that he encouraged and…read morebuilt on my ideas, and politely told me when one of my ideas would not flatter. He explained why and offered an alternative that would get me the look I was after. I loved the way he was clearly listening and attentively making sure everything was perfect. So professional. The dress was just what I wanted and I turned heads. Thank you Kiko.

Working with Kiko on my wedding gown was wonderful!…read more I was searching constantly and having no luck finding a dress that I both liked and could afford. When I tried things on, even if I liked the style, I was often unimpressed with the quality of the fabric and stitching. Then there was trying to imagine what it would really look like after being altered, and I was just never sure I was going to love the finished product. As soon as I started working with Kiko, the stress of the dress hunt was gone! I wanted a dress that was both elegant and simple, and one I would be comfortable moving around in. Kiko made me a custom dress that fit me perfectly--size, shape, personality, and budget. Kiko is a master of both design and craftsmanship. I sent him some photos of dresses I liked, along with a description of how I imagined combining elements I'd seen to create the perfect dress for me. At our first meeting, applying his artistry and expertise to my vision, he drew a sketch and brought my idea to life right before my eyes! We then met regularly as he started creating the dress from the inside out, making sure that every piece fit perfectly. Kiko is extremely organized and the dress was ready in plenty of time before the wedding. The quality is superb. I didn't spend half my budget on my dress, and yet I felt like a million bucks. My dress was so comfortable, I danced all night long! But if you want a super complicated design, he can do that too. If having a dress made for you has ever crossed your mind, you will not regret meeting with Kiko for a consultation. I just assumed that I would not be able to afford couture; but Kiko's prices are very competitive. And you get exactly what you want! Priceless! Being able to wear my very own unique, high-quality dress on my wedding day was priceless and made me feel like a queen. I cannot recommend Kiko highly enough!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this Ross. It's been a very long time since I went to…read moreNorthgate or downtown Ross stories, but this location has a parking lot, which is a step up from downtown and easier to navigate than the garage options at other stores. The spots are kind of small but if you park further away it isn't as crowded. I really appreciated how well sorted everything was. The men's shoes, women's lingerie, and all the housewares aisles seemed very organized. What little disarray there was seemed clearly a result of shoppers that day, and not continued lack of maintenance. I will say it really blows waiting in line. The day I came they only had customer service stands open, so everyone checking out was waiting for much longer returns to occur before they could take the next guest.

I had a truly terrible experience at this store that still bothers me to this day…read more I liked this store because it was basically on my doorstep, and it had a good selection of cards. After patronizing this place for a while, I was asked not to come back to this store. Naturally I was curious as to why they would do this to a repeat customer. I was told that I had made an employee uncomfortable- by flirting with them!! I was gobsmacked as to why anyone would think that. I'm a talker- I talk to everyone I meet the same way, but this person thought I was flirting with them. Perhaps they have too much main character energy to think that. Perhaps they found my chattiness annoying- not everyone is going to be delighted by me- but why, WHY would they not just tell me they were busy and couldn't talk? Did they feel they were being held hostage? I saw Standard Goods as a neighborhood spot. Keep in mind I wasn't camping out at the store; I'd say my average visit was -20 minutes, and I wasn't there frequently. This just doesn't make any sense to me. I'm forced to consider the possibility they felt ill at ease around me due to my disablity- I'm legally blind and my eyes look different, some people aren't comfortable with that that's their problem. Even if that's not the case, it still really hurt when they asked me not to come back. What is this, high school? Yes, I cried. They made me feel like my presence was a nuisanc. It left an impact. question whether people want me around. There were so many other ways they could have dealt with it and at the same time keep in mind that I was a customer with feelings. I get the distinct sense that they don't care about customers or the community. It's good for managers to take their employees' concerns seriously- Just not like this. Maybe they are extremely nonconfrontational, yet there must have been another way to addrss this without banning me from the store.

They have other locations in the area but this particular one on Capitol Hill is the most convenient for me. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They have apparel, pins, stickers, and other fun gifts. I caught the 49 bus from downtown but the 10 and 12 were an option too. I just took whichever bus came first. Sure, I could have walked up the hill but I didn't want to get all sweaty.
