Dominick and his crew completed my driveway yesterday. From my personal experience, I think they did a great job with my driveway. Not only was his price more than reasonable, but he showed up when he said he would (as discussed) and finished the job the same day. I didn't get a chance to meet his crew (as I was working). But when they left, my driveway was transformed from a muddy pile of dirt to a clean, flat and usable surface. He mobilized his crew, his equipment and purchased the material needed to complete the job... based on a verbal agreement and a hand-shake. (Never asked me for a deposit.) To be honest, this was one of the most pleasant business transactions I've ever had. Dominick and his crew came and professionally, efficiently, carefully, and methodically removed the old driveway, set the base down and asphalt on top. I have reached out to Dominick multiple times before/during/after the great driveway they placed for me and he answered my call every single time, answered my questions, and addressed my concerns. I certainly received a great value for the money I spent. I did my homework before hiring Dominick and his crew and I'm beside myself on some of these negative postings on here. Platinum Paving (Dominick and crew) has a Better Business Bureau rating of A+, is licensed, insured, and bonded and I've found Dominick to be professional, responsive, responsible, reliable, and a good man of business. I just read a previous review here of Dominick and his shady dealings. Basically had exactly the same story as the previous poster. They came to rip out our original driveway, replaced it did not lay any stone , paved it and it looked beautiful, we stayed off the driveway for two weeks. Within three months it would rain and the whole driveway filled with water. We were very concerned we sent pictures and videos to this company as requested by them. They said they would come and look and give us an opinion. They basically disappeared into thin air, did not return texts, or phone calls until one day where they told us to stop emailing and texting them. This by far is one of the worst people do deal with and they came through Home Advisor. I am not sure how they stay in business, and I am starting a lawsuit to get my money back so I can get someone reliable to do the job properly. RUN away from this company. ripoff in every way. Thank god I kept all their text messages which i will use against them in civil court. read more

I have not interview other paving companies, so I cannot say if his price is competitive or not. But I hired Platinum Paving out of complete trust. They promised to do a number of "fixing" jobs; 1) to raise and level sunken paved drive way in different sections. 2) to power wash my patio, 3) to fill in cracks in the gaps between the blue stone patio tiles. I gave them 3 stars because they did work hard. I have to say that the crew was a very hard working crew, who worked from morning to late afternoon. It is Dominic that failed to live up to his promises. Especially by the fact that he was not there most of the time (3 days of work). At the beginning, it seemed like they were doing the job as described in the contract. But since Dominic was not on the site frequently enough, the crew decided to take apart the side patio, which looked perfectly fine, (and was not mentioned in the contract). This extended the duration of the job, but worse than that - after they put it all back together, the patio does not look the same... since the white cement/grout was not done neat enough. When I inspected the property at the completion of the job, (and gave the foreman the check), it seemed that it was satisfactory. But the next day I noticed that I overlooked some details that showed that "the job was not completed"; 1) the debris and extra bricks were left in the back yard under the evergreen tree. 2) the lawn furniture were left on the lawn instead on the patio 3) some bricks were put in without the cement, so they are completely loose (can be removed with fingers), 4) the fill-in on the patio (white), overflowing the crack dimensions, so I have square white marks all over). I contacted Dominick Stanko and asked him to come and look at the final product and correct the problem. He twice promised to stop by and look at what I was saying. After not showing up, I emailed him, but he claimed he never received my mail. I texted him, threatened to give him a bad review online, so he responded asking for more time for him to show up. Belgian blocks were put in a very shoddy way. Uneven blocks, uneven distance.. very rushed job and totally botched. He would not return my phone calls and finally when I got him by calling through a new number, he refused to even come and see the damage he caused. Now I will have to rip-off his work and re do all over again. I can't even pull my car out of garage properly. Wish I had never used them. we hired Platinum Paving to fix our driveway this spring. Dominick evaluated the driveway and immediately provided a quote for the job. we took his advice to "resurface" the driveway... in essence, remove cracked asphalt and repaved with 2+ inches of asphalt on top of an existing driveway. overall we're extremely satisfied with the process and results so far. The crew was on-time, extremely polite, kept us informed (Thanks Jose) at every stage of the process and went over the post-paving care Dos and Don'ts. Dominick even personally followed up a week later. Its looks brand new and I certainly hope its stay that way for the next few years. read more

i have the same problem with this lousy company, they did my driveway(500 sq ft., small one) and at the end of the driveway they left me a lake. the last part is a bit sunken in and holds water, about a third of the driveway. I sent them pics and they said they would come back but nothing, no return calls or texts. Its been 2 months now. I called Dominick several times and lefted him messages but nothing!!! these ppl are the worst, I am now calling DCA in Trenton and reporting them, they seem to have a history of this. I think that everyone should do the same and let DCA know about them again. do google search and theres a story of them getting fined by DCA. read more

I hired Platinum Paving to re-pave my driveway. They did the job and it seemed that it was satisfactory in the beginning until parts of the driveway started "flaking away and pitting." I contacted the owner, Dominick Stanko and asked him to come and look at the driveway and correct the problem. This is during the time that he was still taking my calls, which he hasn't done now for over a year. At this point I resorted to texting him and he finally got back to me and asked for me to text him some pictures of the driveway. I did this but he never confirmed receiving the pictures. I continued to text him and only after I threatened to give him bad reviews online did I get a curt response from him, which is included in the attached copies of the text messages. Mr. Stanko also recommended a lifetime sealer for the driveway which would protect it from wear and having to ever seal the driveway again in the future. The cost of this sealing process was an additional $600.00. Mr. Stanko has not held up his end of the deal. The driveway had these issues during the warranty period but he decided to repeatedly ignore my requests for repair. After further research online at the BBB website, the division of consumer affairs as well as other social media sites, I find that others have fell victim to Mr. Stanko's poor workmanship and lack of follow-up. In fact, it seems it is his MO to ignore the customer's complaints hoping they will just go away. I now believe the driveway was installed incorrectly and I am getting more areas of cracking and flaking, which could mean that I will need an entirely new driveway installed. Worst company ever. Very friendly when Mr. Stanko comes to give you an estimate to do your driveway. His work is awful and he does not back up his guarantee he did my driveway I now have grass growing through my paved driveway i have ant holes coming up through the pavement. He NEVER returns your phone call and just constantly blows you off now that he has had the check and the driveway is finished his work is a disgraced he is a liar and a con man. Now that I have problems with my driveway and not only I another woman a couple of streets down had her driveway done in now she is having problems and he does not return her phone calls either he is a con man and his work is Shady do not hire this man he does not back up his work he just takes your money . also I can take my foot and rubbing on the driveway in the gravel turns into little Pebbles it is a disgrace . In some spots the payment is already coming apart . If I could rate him I would rate him a minus 7 read more

They did a decent job on the driveway and walkway but a concrete patch they did was so low that water collects there every time it rains and sits there for a days. I have called numerous times and left them multiple messages, but they never answer the phone or return my calls. I am very disappointed. Be wary of these guys. Once they have your money, you will never hear from them again. read more
