I really enjoy this restaurant though sometimes I feel that it is a little bit on the pricey side. Their salads are fresh and similar to what you might make it home if you had lots of wonderful ingredients on hand. I generally have either the fajita salad or the spinach and shrimp salad or the vegetarian sandwich. All of those items are delicious and well-made. I asked for diet friendly last time and they suggested spinach shrimp salad with lemon dressing. Most of their dressings are high in sugar. The lemon dressing definitely had some sugar in it, but it tasted light and was very good. This is not a good place for little children. They have no children's menu and do not allow outside food so you cannot take a kids meal for them. read more

I was really torn about how many stars to put here, because the food was absolutely awesome. The low rating is due to a service issue that happened. My brother and I were trying P&P out on another friend's recommendation. We picked a table in the back that was quieter, put our two plastic bags of birthday gifts on the chair and bench to hold the table, then went to stand in line to place our order. While we were in waiting in line, one of the managers went over to our table, grabbed our bags and plopped them at another table (despite our protestations) so he could put our first selected table with another to seat a larger party. No request, no apology, nothing. The table he plopped us on was now very noisily next to this large party with many small children and the only other table available was one near the food prep area that was also noisy. I was VERY OFFENDED that this was done. Had we been sitting there, would the manager have asked or just put together other tables? I drove down from 45 minutes away specifically to meet my brother for a nice lunch. While the food was totally excellent, this potentially great, first-time experience was totally ruined by this rude manager. What do they say - you never have a second chance to make a first impression? Well, that's true here. While the food was to die for, the forcibly moving us to another table has left a really bad taste that can't be overcome. I will never come back and will explain our experience if anyone asks for a recommendation. read more

I come here every time I am in town, which unfortunately is less than once per year at most. The southwest turkey sandwich is utterly fantastic and is amongst the best ever. Everything from the crisp and crunchiness of the bread, to the sliced fresh turkey, to the amazing sauce with whatever the heck is in it. Try this sandwich, I guarantee you will love it! The owner is a great guy and recognizes me and remembers my order from the second I walk in, even after years at some points. Fun creative healthy food. We ordered the pear and Gorgonzola salad with bacon and candied pecans. And the curry chicken salad with dried apricots and fresh celery. Both were fresh and healthy. Many people think of this place a female lunch joint, but men who love real food like me love it too. It's REAL food. We had our son's wedding luncheon catered by them yesterday. The salads were excellent and the fresh, baked-that-day Baci rolls are addictive (order extra because your guest will love them). Very high class. And fresh. P&P even called me the day before to adjust the right pickup time so the pears weren't brown. It's the little things that count for me. I would pay extra to ensure everything went right for a wedding luncheon, but luckily I didn't have to. I love this place! read more

My family and I are new to the area and had been eager to try the food here. After reading all of the great reviews we had expected phenomenal dishes. We were sorely mistaken. The sandwiches and salads we ordered were "bleh". Typical panini sandwiches and the salads were nothing special (half hearted at best).We ordered a lava cake that had been dosed in salt and a creme brûlée that tasted like pine cleaner smells. Overall, we were disappointed with our dishes and for the amount we paid, I would have expected better quality. read more

I've tried almost the entire menu and EVERYTHING is Amazing! I've gone for Lunch and Dinner and both were great. I could see how some would say it's a little pricey but I think it's pretty accurate for what you get. I usually get a Lunch Combo (1/2 salad, 1/2 sandwich, chips) which runs around $8. I highly recommend the Lemon Tarragon for the salad option. I crave it and usually pick it up twice weekly. You can dine in or take-out, and they also offer gift cards ;) read more

The lemon tarragon salad is my go to dish at Plates and Palates! If you're ever bored with the same ol' same ol' then give this place a try. Beware that if you go at lunch time you will wait. (They do their best to speed up the process though and the food is fabulous)! I always call ahead so my order will be ready when I get there and I never stay to "eat in" on a busy weekday.
