I really love the food here. Today I ordered the chunky mushroom patty melt. I love mushrooms. The cheese sauce is very good. A+ for presentation. Now that I know about the salad, I would probably see it in the future they would offer olives instead of red onions. But that's just a personal preference. I've never been disappointed by food here. But I have a lot more to try. The only suggestion I'd make is change out the napkins for paper towel rolls. Haha read more

This place is pretty quiet and chill. The service we received was very helpful and polite. The food presentation is on point! I was pretty impressed by how it came and it held the temperature well. The melt was full of flavor and was seasoned just right. The Philly is saucy and juicy. I love when my food is saucy so this was a perfect combination. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The salad came with a vinaigrette and is a nice small portion to help balance the meal. All in all I'll give this place a 9.2/10 It's hard to find good plant based restaurant. I worked out at Planet Fitness and wanted a healthy post- workout meal. To my surprise, This place was in close proximity. Practically across the street. It is in a corner of a small shopping center with a nail salon. Walking in, let's just say I was not impressed. It is clear that they have not invested in ambience. The decor is dated, the floor is industrial, everything is just old. When I walked in I approached the counter and checked out the specials and the main menu. After about a 5-10 min wait, a staff approached the counter to assist me. I ordered two jackfruit sandwich's. I made one a plate, which comes with two sides. The staff advises that the black beans and rice and veggie chili were popular items. As such, I went with those items. There is a sign near the counter indicating that they are understaffed and you May experience a delay with your order being prepared. It took about 10 min for my order to be ready. This was a to-go order. I appreciate them making sure they included both napkins and silverware in my bag. I hate getting home and not having those items. Every thing that I ordered was delicious. I have been wanting to try a jackfruit BBQ sandwich for years. The sandwich was very flavorful. My meat eating friend suggested that they are fooling us into thinking it's jackfruit when it's really pork!! It was tasty! The black beans and rice and veggie chili also had a good flavor. I had lunch here today. The service was ok, but staff seemed a bit preoccupied. I like the casual ambiance, and the hip decor. There's some space to sit outside and tables and booths indoors as well. I'm juicing so I had the Plant Power Green juice and the Immunity Kicker. The plant power juice was a little disappointing because for greens they use a spring mix which doesn't say "power" to me at all. I was thinking more along the lines of spinach or kale, but they didn't have any green juices at all with spinach or kale as an ingredient, which I found surprising at a place that has "juice bar" in its name. This juice also tasted too sweet, like maybe it had too much apple in it. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Immunity Kicker was WAY too sour, which I expected considering the number of sour ingredients used, but I hoped I was wrong. It needed something to balance out the tartness. One of my family members had a taco salad which looked delicious to me, but she found it to be too spicy. Overall my impression is that this place is too heavy on the wrong ingredients, but I love the variety of vegan options and I want to come back when I'm not juicing to try the food. read more

The food here is always amazing. This is a go to when I am in the Chattanooga area. Since the last time I stopped in, there are more menu items and they have made some upgrades inside. They have also added some outdoor seating. I got the Greek salad and the garlic hummus with pita. The greek salad was a nice size and had a lot of toppings. I would have never found this hole in the wall Cafe and juice bar on my own if it were not for my friend who wanted to get lunch and ask if we could eat at plant power. I have to admit that from the outside it does look pretty sketchy and the inside is by no means glamorous, but what they don't have in looks they make up for in food. They have a vast array of sandwiches, burgers, salads, juices, dairy-free ice cream, and even zucchini noodles. I had the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich which came with coleslaw on top and a pickle on the side - it was so packed with flavor I couldn't believe it was made out of fruit! The barbecue and the coleslaw balanced each other beautifully and the Toasted Bun added even more to that amazing sandwich.I also love that you can even get raw foods from here if you are on a raw diet. (Ps. They have gluten free options too) It's very refreshing to find a vegan place outside of Chattanooga ~ most vegan places are all the way IN Chattanooga but this place was only about 15 minutes from where I live. Don't let the raw, dairy-free Foods scare you away from this place ~ they are flavor packed and very healthy and the prices aren't bad! 4 stars for the great food and good service. If they got some plants, added some Christmas or fairy lights to the inside and maybe played a little music, it could carry this place a long way in terms of looks/atmosphere. I had the pleasure to check out Plant Power Cafe & Juice Bar just a few days after their soft opening, so though as always I arrived upbeat and optimistic I genuinely had no idea what to expect. After ensuring I was in the right parking lot, as they are tucked away on Lee Highway, I made my entrance. Right from my arrival though I could tell that I had entered a restaurant with a wonderful positive atmosphere, as the family run restaurant's patron and chef greeted me at the door. After he disappeared to the kitchen, his wife then kindly welcomed me in and took some time to go over the menu, and recommended her own personal suggestion the Chunky Mushroom Patty Melt. Never one to turn down a suggestion, I said I'll take it and ordered the plate version, which comes with a side salad and one side of my choice - black beans and rice for me. I also ordered soy milk for a beverage, which is lightly sweetened, and she followed-up later in the meal with a water once she saw I consumed my soy milk. I didn't bring anything to serve as a distraction as I waited for the food, and I was lacking for company as I came by myself, so in lieu of conversation I took in the ambiance and enjoyed particularly the art on the walls and their reading selection, which is fittingly made up of vegan related books. In the meantime one of the family's kids, who seem to help from time to time, checked up on me too which was very thoughtful. Once the food came I was definitely ready to eat, having purposefully come extra hungry, and everything already looked visually delicious. My eyes did not deceive me, as every bite, from the salad, to the melt, to the rice and beans, satiated my taste buds. Were my phone not dead, and if I had a notepad in hand at the time, I'd have done a better job including what all went into my melt; however, I merely have the picture now as reference and aside from mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheeze sauce I'm afraid I cannot identify fully what it included. However again it was delightful even without me knowing all that comprised the sandwich. The salad and rice and beans were especially wonderful too, and I really appreciated that the dressing was automatically on the side as I know many prefer to avoid oils/dressings. Overall I was definitely pleased with my experience at Plant Power Cafe & Juice Bar, and I'm eagerly excited to return. I forgot to mention this earlier too, but I spoke with a couple as they left who are already apparently regulars, and to earn a following that quickly is certainly a wonderful sign.
