Great self car wash!! You can use your credit card so you don't have to carry quarters on you. Not crazy busy, so you can take your time and clean your car the way you want it. I really enjoy this place but I had an issue with the charges on my card and the customer service I received from trying to understand the charges. It was explained to me that my debit card would be charged 10 dollars then correct itself over the next few days. I had a few more questions about it out of curiosity and spoke to Tim the manager and owner of this establishment who said "Well don't use the credit card ever again" as well as continuing to talk to me in a rude tone and became frustrated with me understandably questioning a 2.50 charge shown as 10 dollars. The issue on the charge had subsided but I was still met with rudeness when asked about the manager and got a response of "Do you know what time it is?" I was fully aware of the time which was about 10:50pm and that no matter what time of a 24/7 service and if you are still answering phone calls as a customer my concern about this companies services should be respected. Also, I remained very calm and respectful to Tim and did not make any smart remarks until I asked to speak with the manager and stated that I knew what time it was and I was just trying to wash my car. This place was awesome! I took my car here after work on a Thursday and it was fairly busy but I was lucky enough to get an open spot. For $6, I was able to utilize most of the features available in the self wash bay and make my car nice and black again! Everything worked as described, and I found it really cool that the brush kept spitting out enough foam for me to cover my entire car. It took me a little less than 10 minutes to go around my car twice with each feature I chose (Power rinse, soap, rinse, foam brush, power rinse, air dry) and my car was almost spotless. It might have helped that I read the instructions provided and pre-planned what I would use. I would definitely recommend you bring a towel if you want to make sure you don't leave with any water spots. I didn't and by the time I got home I had to polish the spots off. However, if the place isn't too busy, the owner told me you're more than welcome to continue using the bays to polish or wax your car while you're there. My interior didn't need to be vacuumed but I checked them out anyway, and can vouch that they get the job done! Overall, a pretty cool experience if you want to take some time and wash your car yourself. I'll definitely be back! read more

i wish i had a pet so i could take it here. the pet station looks like an outdoor spa lounge for pets! but sadly this review is for the car wash station only... i really don't need to note that living in davis makes your car hellsa dusty every couple days because you all probably already know! i first tried this place for an automated car wash because it was a complimentary gift from Davis Express Lube (which, btw, does an excellent job doing oil changes as well). woop woop! after that i decided to be ambitious and do the self car wash (and maybe cop a workout and a tan at the same time). i like it because you can pay any amount of money you like for an alloted time to do whatever the hell you want. the controls are in a dial form and you pick the mode you'd like. i must admit that it takes a bit of getting used to for allocating your time correctly, but once you get in the groove there's no stopping you! for the first timers, don't trip - the timer beeps when you are down to 2 minutes and 1 minute. my agenda: $5 for 9 minutes. rinse, soap, high pressure rinse. clear coat, DONEZO. avoid the tri-color foam, the air dryer, and all that other bougie stuff. just bring a squeegee and you're all set. get in get out get clean and be the shiniest car in davis...until it gets dirty again in 2 hours. read more

My first experience here was great! I did the self car wash and brought a friend to help (sped up the process since they charge you based on time). I spent $10 on the full round which included the car wash + tire wash + protectant sprays + etc. It would've probably been half the price if I did a basic car wash. Definitely can't go wrong if you like washing your car yourself. The last wash place I went to left a lot of bird droppings on my car but I didn't notice until I got home. Best and maybe the only do-it-yourself car wash in Davis region. The price is certainly cheaper than those automatic car wash in the area. A typical car wash with triple color form, high power wash, clear coat protector, and drying cost about $7. The facility always have vacant space, so you rarely need to queue. read more

Worst car wash experience of my life! The pressurized water scuffed/scratched my entire car up and my car is still covered in a dusty film. I paid $8 to leave with a dirty, damaged car. This is a review of the automatic car wash. There are 3 washes to choose from. I used the most expensive one and the basic one before and they all pretty much have the same results. The added bonus of the highest wash is not worth the extra money in my opinion. The wash process itself is pretty cool and remember to roll up windows and close your moonroof. It uses high pressure jets of water to blow every leaf, bird poop, and other dirt that is stuck on your car. Davis have a lot off trees and can make cars dirty very quickly. Although the wash is pretty good, don't expect a show room look or a car show look when you use it, even if you choose the most expensive wash. Sometimes bird droppings will stick and not get blown off depending on how well fed the birds are. The dryer very short, if I remember it was 1 minute. It won't dry your car bone dry, but adequate. Also the timer starts exactly when the washing is complete and sometimes the water jet rods haven't even cleared your way yet. And if you decided to turn off your engine during the wash, turn it back on during the final rinse so you don't have to chase the timer. read more

For the past 2 months when doing a self wash I get a charge of $10 plus the wash charge of $2.50 (or more depending on time used). I used to go here for my car because I do not trust automatic car washers. This place offers the ability to hand wash with a pressure washer, a soft broom soap thing, and an air dryer. As I said I used to go here. That ended today when I washed my car and the hose for the air dryer scratched my car everywhere it touched. I'm not talking about light little scratches that water and elbow grease can remove but actual deep scratches from a the freaking hose! The hose length is too short to avoid it touching your car on one side when you dry it. All I can say is that I've probably spent about $40 there for about 10 washes or so and today was my absolute last time coming there and I hope I can stop you from coming there as well. read more

I usually go to the self wash in woodland but I was seeing a customer nearby and had driven by planet wash a dozen times so I thought I'd try it out. I liked that he had a dog wash station even though I'd probably never use it. Anyways I run my credit card 3 times before it works. The pricing is a bit confusing and all of a sudden it says its charging my card 4.50 immediately so I hurry to start. Power washer is fine. Typical pressure compared to other places anyways. Then I go to use the soap brush. That thing was so worn out I might as well have been using a fistful of straw to scrub the car. The handle is bent and the soap is barely coming out. By the time I'm done with soap I'm already out of time (mind you I'm washing a 2 door tiny car and I was moving fast) so I try to add more time and it doesn't work. Then all of a sudden its adding twice the time. I finish rinsing the car and then go to use the air dryer with tons of time I just payed for. It's tube is duct taped to fix a repair. Well the thing didn't even turn on. I tried turning it off and on again. I tried the button on it. Nothing. So I drove off with spotted windows that never got a good scrub and a streaked back window since they don't dry well on the freeway and wasted time on the clock that I can't stop even with the dial turned to stop. Pretty lame. At least the wash in woodland has an attendant who can help not that I've ever needed him there. read more

Instructions are very unclear. I started my wash and then no water came out. I had to change the setting to soap. fine. I thought it would automatically change each setting but it didn't. It only gives you enough time for 3 or 4 minutes. I ended up having to pay another 7 for an drive thru wash. Just drive to woodland to get a proper car wash. Don't waste your time or money. Update! My regular car wash place was closed, and I desperately needed a wash so I went back here to give it another try. I opted for the auto car wash this time (the $7 one), and it was a no-touch power clean. It cleaned the exterior just fine! I went over to the self-vacuum booth ($1 x2), and it was also decent! The only issue was with the credit card machine because it was quite laggy when I went so I wasn't sure if I was doing it right, and nobody was around at the time. I would suggest using cash to be safe. read more

Nice place! This is great! My boyfriend, dog and myself came back from Lake Berryessa hiking an_d our dog just had to run into a mud puddle and dirty up the car and himself( -___-). Planet Wash was on the way from Berryessa back to Davis! Aww, a life savior indeed. We washed our dog in the dog car wash station and it was fantastic and clean. Then we washed our car! This place has a credit card machine! Thank goodness, don't wanna deal with change and allthat. That went ok, I just don't have the height or strength or stamina to do this properly so my boyfriend took over as my dog and I supervised and stuff. This review is solely for their self or do it yourself car wash. I came here the other day to get my car wash and after I got done I pulled over to get my car vacuumed. Then there was this one kinda old man... I assumed that it's either his place or he works there but he came over and told me that I did a really bad job and that there was still dirt and crap on my car. So then he told me to use the brush that they had n stuff... I was scared to use the brush at first cause I thought it wouldve scratch my car. So then I was like Wth.. I'll just wash my car again cause what's the point in coming there the first place when I am just gonna leave with a dirty car. So then I told him yeah.. Ill wash my car again. To my surprise..he said the wash will be on him and he actually came over and like wash my car for me. I got like a free tutorial on how to use all the stuff they have there... And it's pretty good. I left with a shiny clean car... Just like how it was when it was new :) I also saw him talking to other people and helping them out too so this is a good place to go to when u want to wash your car yourself and get a lil workout out of it. read more

I love this dog wash! I put both my large (50+ lbs) long-haired dogs in the tub at the same time. There were clips for both. It was so much more efficient that way, and there wasn't one pacing back and forth anxiously waiting for her turn. There were many choices of shampoos and even a de-skunker! After I rinsed them, I let them run around in the large fenced enclosure where they shook off and made a mess that they would normally make in my bathroom! Then I used the blow dryer on them. I loved the fact that you can use your credit card (or coins if you want). It was $8.00 for both dogs, which was fantastic. I went over to the main building to a machine for printing the receipt and it wasn't working. I called the number on the sign and the owner picked up immediately and drove over in less than 5 minutes to give me a receipt. Wow! Great service. I will definitely return. read more
