Unfortunately they were out of both cheeses. She did have a small chunk of Shropshire Blue left though and gave it to us for free! Mahfam recommended a different cheese for us to try and it was excellent so we got half a pound. Hubby ended up loving her recommendation even more than the other two. Mahfam knows her cheese! They also offer gourmet charcuterie boards plus sandwiches and salads. This is just a very cool little place to discover new cheeses, and gourmet goodies and leave with something you didn't know you needed. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the cheese selection.

I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

My wife and I have eaten lunch here about 5 times since it has opened and every sandwich we have tried has been fantastic. The first thing you will notice is the fresh baked bread made from scratch daily. It is so good we even picked some up last night to eat at home with my wife's homemade Italian Beef. The next thing you will notice is the infinite amount of choices. When was the last time you were at a sub shop where you could get artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatos, sprouts, and portobello mushrooms. I highly recommend the planet sub, Dagwood, and Southwest Chicken. There is also a portobello mushroom sub that I added chicken and jalapenos too which was amazing. Don't remember what it was called but it was under the veggie subs section. My wife gets the same thing every time which is a build your own with chicken, sun dried tomatos, and artichoke hearts. The other great thing that was mentioned in one of the other reviews was the service we receive every time we are in there. It is owned by a mother and daughter who are in there everyday and are always making sure that we like our sandwich's. It is a welcome change from the usual sandwich shop. I thought they had a drive through, but it's actually one for BLD which is right next to Planet Sub. Oops! The subs are really good and fresh tasting. I happened to go in on Tuesday, which is when they have a $2.50 Turkey Sub (I think that was the price- I went like 5 weeks ago). I got that and my husband his usual- a meatball sub. We both loved the taste of each other's sandwiches, and the bread is seriously delicious. I love freshly baked bread. The only thing is the pricing. Ouch! It was almost $17 for large two subs when I didn't get the sub on sale (no drinks). But I did realize that the large is so filling, that you really only need a small. The wait is a bit long for having no line, but I went when they had just opened so I figured everyone is just getting used to everything. Decided to try this new sandwich Shop on Dobson and Germann. Since opening we have been at least twice every week! I love sub sandwiches especially the specialty sandwich Shops like Fire House Subs and Jimmy John's. They have a large specialty menu of sandwiches as well as a build your own. Only to wait almost 10 minutes before submitting my order to see if the coupon code would come through, it took a while and I just placed my order without it. Not two minutes after I made my order I get a message stating the order is cancelled because they couldn't fulfill it. No other context. Maybe it was the timing? Maybe they were out of ingredients? Who knows, but not me! So I just moved on and got a sandwich elsewhere. The second time around it had the perfect amount of ingredients and the bacon really does complement the turkey. I'm so glad that I was able to get the sandwich made the way it's supposed to be. All in all I was still say that I was a little disappointed in Jimmy John's and it's a hard sale to do an 8 inch sub for almost $13 so I probably won't be back and I probably will just end up making a sandwich at home because I can make several at least two sandwiches at home for the same price. I also noticed that they no longer have $.25 leftover bread and I'm sure that's because of the economy. But now the leftover bread is like $.93.
