Beware! Lack of communication, machinery, customer service skills. I've received so many excuses on why my project hasn't been done. I'll make it short I don't want to give this company and the owner Bryan anymore of my valuable time. I ordered multiple pieces through his company. He could not do all of them and he would not give me my money back. I told him then the balance needs to go to the one product. He has put me on the back burner for over a year now. I have still not received my full order. I've heard excuses like my power went down I don't have the correct suction machine the drillbits aren't correct. It was a simple project. Every piece I received was inconsistent and different. It was a waste of my time and money. The best way to speak to someone at the company is to go there in person. I wanted to get a dust cover for a special chess set, so I called several Plexiglas fabricators in the area. Not only did I get a wide range of price estimates - most of them outrageous - but one guy actually asked me, "This doesn't have to be Museum-quality, right?" (Which I took to mean, "This doesn't have to be our best work.") I decided to go with Brian and PlanetPlexi because the price was good, and I got the feeling I would get good service. I'm pretty upset. Instead of giving him one star I'm giving him two because the work that was done was good. But, the customer service was not. We shopped around and found this place to be the cheapest and the owner Brian was nice over the phone and easy to talk to. He gave me a quote right away. So I placed my order for 2 custom plexiglass pieces. Then for every little thing we needed to make the plexiglass piece fit they upcharged me. And a lot of money at that. Charged me $78 to drill 4 holes. Wtf? That's slightly insane! Be aware that when you order something that probably won't be your final price. They will add hidden fees to everything. Oh and he also charged me the $3 charge extra to use the credit card. Classy. I already spent $600-700 bucks...you think he could leave out the extra $3? Forget this place. Go with some place more professional. I wish I did. read more

I need several pieces of Plexiglases for my fish tank, so I called PlanetPlexi around 2pm, and they cut the pieces immediately for me, and I got my pieces at 5pm the same day. Bryan was very nice to me and cut another piece (which I ordered from Amazon) for me with no charge. I will stop by this company again if I need any Plexiglases. read more

Their products are good but they are not organized with payments and they do not communicate well with the customer. I had an issue for the payment with the receptionist (Keisha), while I was trying to clarify she was very rude and basically kicked me out of the store. She never apologized. I finally dealt with Bryan, he was very professional and helpful and apologized for the rude behavior Keisha had with me. So, if you can skip the rude receptionist, they can deliver a good product. read more

I've gone to Planet Plexi a few times with each experience being alot less satisfying than the last. I kept thinking, maybe these were off days but no, the service was.........consistently lacking. At their old location, this ranged from no one being up front (even when calling ahead of time) or in the office thus having to look for someone, convenient ways to pay ahead (apparently this has since been corrected) or an issue with the actual product. Anyway, all I needed were a couple of plexiglass sheets with very simple cuts. I requested a quote and Brian responded timely. However, once I confirmed with him what I needed and discussed payment, with hesitance he said it would take a couple days. Kinda sounded like something was wrong or that he was having a bad day but anyway, it took about 3 hours to get the quote with a link to pay online. The issue is, I was trying to get the item paid for after talking for them to cut it and for me to have it before a certain date. The fact that it took 3 hours to get a quote gave me time, to go to another shop up the street and get my plexiglass legit within 20min. This company was alot more attentive and on their business game. While Planet Plexi does have competitive prices for me, it simply isn't worth doing business with them. The owner Brian, does try to manage things and correct issues but overall my impression is just aloofness. I may not have large orders but business is business and they lost it today. Improve on your customer relations and how you interact, seriously. read more

We paid in full for our order of a robot casing from Planet Plexi on May 8, 2013. At this time, we were quoted an approximate completion time of two weeks. We occasionally checked up with Planet Plexi to follow the progress and the completion date kept being pushed back. After over a month of waiting for our order and having not received it, on July 24, 2013 we began to contact Planet Plexi every business day to check on the progress of our order. The completion date continued to be pushed back by additional weeks or days. Various excuses were provided for the slow progress including that they were attempting to create a really good first prototype, that there were measurement issues, or that everyone at the company had fell down with a case of the flu. Approximately two months after paying for our order, we escalated the case to our purchasing department, who also contacted the company about the progress of our order and were told that it would be done "any day now". Approximately a week after this incident, we received our casing from Planet Plexi. However, the craftsmanship was not great; design features on the unit were misaligned or had inconsistent spacing. As well, the unit was not completed as per our specifications. We had requested several holes be placed in the casing to allow us to place cameras and wiring, none of these holes were provided. Upon receiving our product, we decided to buy the tools to make the holes ourselves instead of sending it back to Planet Plexi as dealing with their poor customer service and poor craftsmanship was no longer worth our time. I would recommend to those that are considering Planet Plexi as a vendor to look elsewhere. read more

I found Planet Plexi after searching for plastic fabricators from San Diego to LA. I am glad I chose them- not only because they were 20 minutes from me, but because of their service. My wife wanted a modern, clean acrylic table base to support an 8 1/2 ft. marble top. We didn't want to sacrifice design for the needed strength and they helped us achieve the best result. I think Brian and Chuck spent as much time with me on the phone as they did making the base! Kisha was always very helpful as the go-between for this project. While their original estimate came in higher than the others, they worked with me and were competitive in the end. Plus, they got it done faster than everybody else, only 1 1/2 weeks. And that was during the Christmas week. Our family owns a construction company as well as a couple of other businesses- now I can't wait to find something cool for them to make for our new showroom! read more
