Jonathan at Planet Orange is great. He helped to get rid of my carpenter ant infestation and now we are on a bi-monthly maintenance. I would highly recommend them! read more

Fast, easy, and pleasant. The guy who came out was very nice and thoroughly explained the process. We left the house for twenty minutes and he texted us when he was done. They use a milder product indoors and something more durable around the exterior perimeter. We had a miserable ant infestation and tried everything without making a dent. We haven't seen a single ant since Planet Orange did their thing. That was almost 4 years ago! read more

I was really glad to find a non-toxic pest control option. However, I could not believe the value for service. They told me they'd come during a 4 hour window - so I had to take the day off work. They came into my home, spent 10 minutes doing something I could have done for $20, and then charged me $380. The person who came was very nice, but literally spent only 5-10 minutes setting down a few sticky traps (that sell on Amazon for $8 a pack) along easy-to-reach areas and then sprayed essential oils in the easy-to-reach places (like along about half of the living room wall baseboards that did not require him to bend down. He said he was all done. I asked - oh what about under the sinks? He said "sure I can spray under the sinks." - as if he were doing me a favor and that is not standard practice. He then sprayed under the kitchen sink and again said he was finished.I said, uh what about under the bathroom sinks? He sprayed under the bathroom sinks. I was confused about why I had to remind him to spray in the places that are highest need when he is the pest control professional not me. He did not spray in any of the kitchen cabinets or go out of his way to make sure he sprayed behind any of the furniture. He completely forgot to spray in any of the closets or set any traps in them. He did not spray behind the shelves that I moved for him to spray behind, he just completely skipped those areas until I asked him to go back and spray behind them. When I asked why they didn't set any sticky traps in the closets, they told me they could go to their car to get some more - but it's like - why would you only bring a few sticky traps with you in the first place? He went to get more of the sticky traps, and returned and I assumed he put them in the closet - but after I paid and he left, I looked in the closet and he had not put any in there. I just couldn't believe how bad the service was. Value - 1 star Service - 1 star Quality of products - 4 stars read more

Very good service. While not cheap, they include free follow up. Formula they used for ants was pet friendly and not irritating.

Johnathan is a pleasure. Polite, thorough and knowledgeable. We prefer the earth friendly service and he always has suggestions for our concerns. Would highly recommend. read more

I have been using Planet Orange for over a year now and have been extremely pleased with the service. We have so many spiders in Marin so I set up a regular service and it's made a huge difference! They use natural, safe, eco-friendly products that have also helped with ants, too. Jonathan, our service provider, always puts the extra touch in and is super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this company! read more

I want to call Planet Orange out for the worst customer service. I put a review here earlier but I'd like to update it. I called them for inspecting the house; for which they charge $200 which goes into any pest control service you get later. The inspector did not find anything, left traps around the house and promised to be back within 2 weeks to pick them for lab tests. It's been way beyond 2 weeks, I called them thrice and no one bothered to get back or schedule another visit. When I left a negative review on Yelp, they called me which I missed and wrote me an email, I responded to the email and now it's been 2 weeks since that. I'm writing here not just to get their attention (because a negative review on Yelp is all they seem to care about) but also let others know that this is nonsense customer service. I am still dealing with unknown pests that have eaten off my back and Planet Orange is nowhere to be found. read more

The crew is soooooo patient! I know they do this all the time but I certainly feel very good when people or companies who come to my house take time to make me feel comfortable of the work they are about to perform. The scheduling process was very simple and easy (they answer questions on the phone as well). Shane and Robert showed up on time and then walked me through what they are going to do. They used booties to keep my house clean and we very respectful of my home while treating and killing the termites. Afterwards they let me know when they were finished and walked me to all the areas treated (I loved this part). Very pleased and will continue to use at me properties. read more

These guys are great at what they do! I posted a quote request on Yelp and they contacted me right away. This is a busy season for termite inspection apparently so they had me scheduled a month out, but a few weeks later called me and said one of their inspectors. Kirk Grouell, was in the area and could drop by. Kirk was here soon after and took over an hour (possibly 1.5 hours) to inspect my property. I live on a hill so you can imagine the workout he got. It happened to be a hot day and with the mask he never took off or adjusted (thank you Kirk for your consideration and practicing safety while here). He was honest with me in explaining his findings and that I didn't need to worry. He could've easily told me I needed abatement because there was "evidence" of possible termites, but he didn't and told me I can wait. I appreciated his honesty so much since I don't know anything about termites and would've paid had he told me I needed it. I will be calling Planet Orange for any future termite inspections. Thank you Kirk!! You are awesome! Keep up the good work. read more

I scheduled a free inspection with them for later this month and was told I need to be there for it, which I don't have a problem with. They said they would have to get into the home and inspect ALL of the rooms. I said no way, I'm not seeing evidence within the home of any pests, but am willing to let them in the back room to have access to the attic...but they said they need to access the entire house and every room. I'm not comfortable with that (I don't want some guy inspecting my underwear drawer ;-) I'm surprised they even were willing to do an inspection of Matt's home without him there (see the 1 star review from earlier). Shows how inconsistent they are. read more

My family and I had been using planet Orange for a little over three months now and when I had reached out to them to use their service it was because they had good reviews and I thought that they would be able to help us with the bug problem that we have . But that hasn't been the case at all I called them multiple times a month to inform them that this bug issue has not been resolved. I have also called and asked to speak to a manager and have my issues escalated to manager because their call center is very rude and not there to help there customers at all .Especially a lady name Diana she was rude to me when i called and had no empathy to what we are experiencing and how much money we are spending to see no results at all and would not me help , she even told me that i could not speak to a manager for over a month !!! I would have hired another company if i knew this would be the case with this company !!!All I wanted from them was to help us since they advertise that the problem we have is one of their specialty's !! If I wasn't stuck locked in this contract with them I would have been done with them , even till this day not one manager has reached out to me !!! I do not recommend this company!!!! read more

Finding termites in your home can be a nightmare, hiring Planet Orange was a dream. I was renovating my house when the window sub found traces of termites. I had contacted other companies and all confirmed that the house indeed had termite activity. They all wanted to tent the place but I had to convince my neighbor that we shared a wall, to allow a full tenting of both of our homes. The neighbor was not having it. Remembering back several years, there was a company that advertised non-intrusive methods that were both safe and organic on the radio. What was there name... PLANET ORANGE! I called and quickly scheduled a free home inspection. After the reviewing the assessment, their technician also proposed a plan for treatment. It was a no-brainer, I did not have to bug (pun intended) my gracious neighborly neighbor and the treatment was done in ONE day without chemicals. Overall have been very pleased with their service. I have them scheduled for a yearly checkup and they guarantee the work for three years. Call them ASAP. read more

Please beware of what Planet Orange can do for you, especially if you have rats! Honestly, it isn't anything you couldn't do yourself, please don't spend your money on them. We paid for three visits, a total of $600.00. We found seven places total after they left. They found only two, one of which we told them about. Their recommendations after three visits were, perhaps buy different traps or mortar the holes ourselves. I gave them a rating of 1, only because their customer service was good. However, I questioned the physical capability of the technicians. We asked for a refund but they did not give us one. We have both had our own businesses, so we know how important it is to make customers happy. Unfortunately, we will never use or recommend them. read more

Enrique came to do the inspection. He was enthusiastic and thorough in his explanation of the findings and the chemicals Planet Orange uses in treatments. Since Planet Orange was the third company to do an inspection at my property, Enrique went over the findings of the other two companies and debunked some of the things they told me I needed to get done. In the end, Enrique found that my property was in good shape and just needed preventative treatment. Shane and another person came to do the preventative treatment. The first thing Shane did was go over all the chemicals he was going to use in the treatment. This was a good review of the information Enrique gave me. After the treatment, Shane went over how to look for evidence of termite infestations in the future. I'm glad I had Planet Orange do an inspection and went with them because they were honest about what I actually needed to get done (which was technically nothing at the moment). The reason that I actually had the work done soon after was because I wanted them to also treat a fungus issue that I knew about. So they treated the fungus and did preventative work together for a competitive price. read more

Called today. Spoke to three different people who all asked me the same question (reason for my call). I explained the reason of my call to all three. "Orange you glad you called?" ....NOPE. read more

Planet Orange quoted work for my property starting at $1200.00 for termite control and pointed out that I also had mold damage inside the roof. What a nice little gem to find in Concord area. I have a couple of rental properties in the south bay as well as the east bay. The ability to have the same company service both locations is really nice. I started service a couple of months ago and the techs have always been on time and call the night before to remind me of their appointment the following day. They take the time to answer my questions...The more comfortable I feel they are going to get rid of my unwanted house pest, the better. Overall, the service is predictable and consustent. The office is available to answer questions or reschedule if necessary. read more

After leaving two messages to this company, one of which said I would get a call back in "5-7 minutes ", I received a call 6 hours later with a caller ID that was a person's name, not the company's name. This person put me on hold twice to take another call so I hung up. She called back but couldn't give me an appointment for 6 weeks. My feeling is this is a very rude and unprofessional way to handle callers. My $ will go elsewhere. read more

Update: Urial came and did an inspection and he was great. Assured me that there was no new infestation. I realize the pandemic has been hard on their staffing, so I wanted to give an update on this. If their staffing gets stabilized, I would consider using them again. The last year was a challenge for sure. Previous Review Terrible experience. Go to another company if you can. Their employees don't show up or show up late even though you have scheduled 2 months in advanced. The receptionist then calls you to say "oh sorry, we had a sick call today...can we reschedule"? When they first did the treatment, the guy had a "flat tire" and they sent someone else to do it who read the map wrong and treated the wrong areas of the house (in neighbors yard). Neighbor was furious. They then had to send the manager out to fix the problem which again entailed another appointment. A year later, I have signs of termites and call them and they send a guy who was here for a total of 10 minutes. He looked at the one spot I saw and said "no it's fine" and didn't look anywhere else around the house because "you need a formal inspection" which can only be scheduled 2 months out. Fast forward 2 months for the "formal inspection" and the guy calls in sick, and they have no one to replace him and now the manager has to be called in again to do the inspection which is a week later. Worst headache. Wish I went with a company that was more professional. read more

This message is way overdue! I've signed up with Planet Orange we my wife & I first bought our home & discovered that our new house had mice . We tried other services and they were pretty worthless, they literally did nothing & told me there were no signs of the rodents. But Melissa at Planet Orange not only found the proof, she set & retrieved the traps over & over until our house was pest free. Over one year later we still use Planet Orange for insect maintenance and Melissa is still my favorite tech. read more

Unfortunately, these people seem to just waste your time. I scheduled an inspection and informed them no one would be present. They couldn't get into the crawl space b/c it is locked with star-head screws and they don't carry a tool for that. Ack. But OK. I told the inspector over the phone and the dispatcher that I would gladly pay $100 for him to buy a tool and take the time to get the space open. Didn't happen. Then I talked to them several times and they agreed to send someone else back out with the proper tool (which would cost $5 at a hardware store). It took 3 days to reschedule. I called them a day to later to see what happened and..."sorry sir, apparently we need a star-head screwdriver to get in the crawl space and we don't carry that tool." Really? Are you joking? I just don't like this kind of incompetence. I prefer professionals who can get the job done. read more

I recently spoke with their staff to get an estimated price and they disliked when I wish to have a competitive bidding with other companies. So, they hung up the call on me. Engaged Planet Orange on a monthly service plan to manage ant problem throughout the interior of our home. The services were wholly unreliable We experienced a no-call, no-show without any kind of follow up, not even a call reschedule. On more than one occasion, the technician arrived outside of the allotted timeframe, again, without any kind of a heads up. They give you only 24 hours advance notice of your appointment. It took an entire summer of me hand-holding and babysitting them just to get our ant problem under control, and when my account was finally escalated to Mark Manzo, he offered a chance for the company to remedy the situation at no cost moving forward until I'm 100% satisfied and if I'm not satisfied, full refund. I asked for the offer in writing but never received it, and subsequently received invoice after invoice that I had to call and argue. On each occasion, the representatives saw no indication that my account was on special arrangement. During this special arrangement, Planet Orange failed to service my property for 5 months. My calls to Mark directly went unanswered. Nearly 1 year after my conversation with Mark, he finally sends me a follow up email. In response, I tell him that I am still dissatisfied, I've seen absolutely no improvement, and I expect my money returned to me. He denied that we ever had such an arrangement to refund me. read more

Please note that my review is based on just one inspection. Kirk G. from Planet Orange came out to do an inspection on my house. He was forthright, pleasant, and did a thorough job. I had lots of questions, and he took the time to answer them all. I plan on using Planet Orange again in a couple years (when I next plan on inspecting my home) and hope that he will be available then. read more

The best customer service out there! My rental house had a termite problem so I called a different company and scheduled an inspection which they never showed up to! I then called Planet Orange in the concord location being that my rental is in the same city and was instantly more satisfied. Scheduler Araceli and inspector Dave were so professional, kind and always answered the phone when I called them. They were able to meet me for the inspection within a days from when i called for and inspection and had the report and quote for the damage very quickly after that. I just wanted the house to be tented and the report specified an exact price for that service. As well as the localized treatment option. The inspector was very great at explaining the difference between subterranean and dry wood termites and the difference of damage caused by both.
