I checked this place out with a guest pass and did a workout. I found the employees to be friendly, the place to be very clean and the equipment was in great condition. The people working out seemed to be chill and minding their own business. They have the gigantic ceiling fans which keeps the air moving. They've got Bose speakers playing music and lots of TVs to watch if that's your thing. You do need to bring your own towel if you're using the showers. It's open 24 hours. I'll be joining. read more

Planet Fitness - Carson Hate to say this but I'm calling it out. I'm officially downgrading my 5 stars to a generous 3, and that's only because the gym equipment doesn't talk back, unlike the staff. I walk in with positive energy, ready to crush a workout, and the vibe at the front desk hits me like a wet blanket. No greeting, no smile, not even a "Hey, welcome in." Just straight-up Debbie Downer Olympics. It's wild... this is supposed to be a Judgment Free Zone, yet the staff looks at you like you just interrupted their nap. The lack of professionalism and basic people skills is honestly impressive, like they trained for it. Love the gym, love working out... but the minute you walk in, the motivation dies at the door. A little friendliness goes a long way. Maybe add "acknowledge humans" to the training manual. What happen to customer service now a days???? Miguel C. read more

Yall need to keep up with the bathrooms and keep them clean. I've seen workers in there, in the dirty bathroom, use the bathroom and leave without coming back to replenish the toilet paper or clean it. Also fix that damn bathroom door in the women's locker room and fix that damn handicap toilet. read more

Staff are always nice. I appreciate that more machines have been added and upgraded, especially the stairmasters! Machines are constantly breaking down unfortunately. Perhaps due to user error? I also wish they would update the bathrooms, would be nice do have showers with doors like other PF locations. There is also a transient that is always sitting outside but one of the windows, I know that is out of their control. read more

Today I had a situation with a man that constantly stares at you makes it extremely awkward to workout He winks smiles and his stare follows you makes it a point to have a view of you on the trademill.. with that being said today I went I to the weight area and of course hes staring started my set hes staring gor more weights hes staring wi ks finish a set I look up and hes staring so I say "I hope you know how uncomfortable you make me feel to work out" he said well if you dont like it bitch go to your own personal gym.. When I went up front to report him to the manager the manager proceeded to kick me and him out saying that we were going back and forth and that I have to leave too I let her know that I will be returning tomorrow but to be treated unfairly when I spoke up about this man that has been recording women making multiple women feel uncomfortable this has been my home gym for over 4 years read more

This place has problems left and right! First of all, the power always goes out, or the cash register goes down! How many times does this have to happen before something is done about it? Also, lifting weights here is a hassle because people are always hogging the benches using their phones, and then not putting the weights back! They need to get stricter about this issue! read more

I would just like to say that I'm leaving back home to Sacramento this Saturday and I had a great workout at your planet fitness. I would like to also recognize Allen and Jennifer in the front who's so kindly greeted me with a smile and show their professionalism as well as Dora!! For the time that I was there I see how hard they work keeping the facility very clean and on top of everything and I would like to also add these are excellent employees in my book and you need to make sure you hire more people like them they're a great team! After going to this planet fitness for ten years the manager decided to cancel my membership because I didn't want to take a picture. This has always been my favorite gym for ten years and I would even pick this gym over some more expensive options and it is unfortunate they brought a new manager. Since the new changes the machines are always broken and the gym is not even as clean as it used to be. I'm never going to this gym again. read more

Staff is very friendly and the gym has nice setting overall. Love nicely priced membership fee.

Nicely sized basic gym but crowded. I enjoy PF for their cleanliness, locations, and ease of parking. This PF was no different. The layout of this PF was in line with most other PF locations- 30 min workout area, stretching and abs area, black card area, cardio, free weights, locker rooms, and weight machines. A row of televisions hung from the ceiling in front of the cardio machines. Everything seemed clean and in good working order. Although there is a ton of cardio equipment, like most of the other PFs, there were only 4 stepmills that were occupied during most of my visit. I also noticed they did not have an Olympic bench press. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unlike most other big chain gyms staff were constantly on the move checking on equipment and/or cleaning. They don't leave all the cleaning for the cleaning crew. For me, that's what separates PF from the other chain gyms. Kudos to PF on hiring hardworking staff! read more

I love going to this gym and working out. I always find a treadmill available. I Enjoy this gym because you can walk in and there is no judgement. and totally not a pickup stop like 24 hours. the only thing I can say is I will not go on Pizza days because I don't have the will power. LOL.. The staff is great, and the facility is kept super clean. LOVE IT read more

I'm honestly fed up with Planet Fitnedd and it sucks because I don't have any other choice than this during my travels because this gym is available nationwide. The issue with this gym is the lack of free weights and an abundance of machines, ellipticals. Also, this specific gym didn't even have kettle bells and medicine balls, that's definitely not cool. This gym is designed for beginners, and probably not best for someone looking for weight training, strength training. It's just really annoying. Also the gym isn't in top shape. Most PF I gone to are not well maintained. The bathrooms are gross and the machines are gross too, and at times atleast one machine is broken. read more

I feel safe at this location . Day is my preference its always nice and clean and the staff is always greeting everyone who enters and exit. I have never had any bad experience here . I come work out , burn my calories and mind my business. If you're looking for a gym not to big and clean this is the location for you . It is certain times i avoid due to the crowdedness , but the app helps alot with differentiating that busy times. read more

I quit my membership today. I had to pay a 58 dollar buy out free but it was worth it. There wasn't one time i came in here where something wasn't broken. Either a sink, toilet or shower is out of commission on any given day. Many times the machines are in need of maintenance or are simple broken and not useable. The staff is friendly and the facilities are usually clean but when head to the restroom i can promise you something isn't working. Read the fine print before you sign. It might seem cheap at first but they have a maintenance charge and yearly additional fees not included with the monthly. read more

Dear Planet Fitness: Carson, Thank you for being local and so damn convenient for me! All of your machines have been in tip-top shape, your parking has been more than enough for everybody, your staff has always been super chill and helpful since I've been going to your gym! I wish you had a real sauna, steam room, etc..... but people obviously get what they pay for with an affordable gym like yours. I'm taking my talents back to 24 Hr. Fitness because the wife and I got a gift from my father; but it's NO dis-respect to you and your business at all!! Keep up the great work, weird-ass pizza days (LOL!!!!) and just being the unique type of extremely local gym you are! Everything from your Mooby's restaurant color schemes, timed work out area, candy bowl, assisted weights, etc. read more

This Planet Fitness is several steps below the other locations. They even charge for eye protection for the Total Body Enhancement machine, when no other PF I've been to does. Black Spa equipment seems outdated with many annoying glitches. There's another PF nearby I highly recommend. read more

This is my go to Planet Fitness when I'm out in LA for work. Overall, it's a good location. In the evenings, it is extremely busy. Sometimes you can't find open equipment because its so busy. This morning though, I went in and counted about 5 treadmills that were out of service. I'm not sure how long they've been out of service or if they have a work order placed to get them fixed, but this definitely puts you in a bind when you want to work out but there's no machines available. On the upside, the location is always clean and the employees walk around filling up the spray bottles and dusting off the equipment constantly. read more

I have been coming here on and off for the past 4 years. Note that the basic membership requires you to pay $39 a year in addition to the $10/month charge so that's an average of $13.25/month. For the most part, there's at least two of all the weight lifting machines. Pretty much the the squat/bench press racks are always taken. Weekends are the best time to come because there is very little people. The new general manager, Bryan, is very committed to the PF commitment of making people feel welcome. One of the issues is that too many people will not re-rack weights during the busy times (4-6pm on weekdays). I'd say that my biggest issue is that the machines are catered to casuals like myself. Pretty much all the machines are only raised in increments of 10 lbs. Note that other Planet Fitnesses will have a way to raise the weight by 2.5lbs and even 24 Hour Fitness has 5lb increments. read more

Many gym memberships are overpriced and require you to commit for a year or two. And when there is no commitment plan, start up fee is really high. However, this place is only $10 a month. Start up fee another $10. I went around 10 am; it was pretty empty. All the equipment is purple which is kinda weird to me. The service is nice, although they did not give me a tour of the place like I thought they would. I did get a free shirt and bag though. So far, all the equipment is working. The bathrooms are clean. Locker rooms present. There are water fountains. I really wish there was a scale so I can weigh myself. The people here are pretty diverse in race and age. For the most part, people do wipe down the equipment. Not all... but from what I observed, at least more than 60% of the people. There was no nasty smell... thank goodness. Best part is that it's open 24/7. I finally can get into shape! read more

I hope someone sees my review . I enjoy going to the gym it's also the closest one to me and I PAY monthly for it HOWEVER I'm doing this review because the workers there suck not all . I never have a problem with the morning people they're always welcoming and friendly the night people or afternoon are always rude always look annoyed they even have the scan thing just there so u can do it yourself while they stand there and TALK their shift away there's never paper to wipe it's literally 2-3 people but no one can put new paper I do see at 10 a guy comes in and is alone well he's friendly I don't have a problem with him he always says hi etc I just feel like if you're not happy with your job then go somewhere else the vibe is so negative I really hope a manager or supervisor checks cameras or messages me back & I will gladly give them info of those girls / guy I don't know the names but I will gladly let u know . I hate to be this person but these kids need to get checked it's a job & get paid for it thanks to their customers like me who keeps them in business! read more

This is a great gym!!! I loved the NO HASSLE sign up on line. It took all of 10 minutes. The staff is really nice and helpful, and they're open 24 hrs!! I highly recommend that you get there before 4:30 pm, or after 9 pm (M-F), or early Saturday mornings because the place gets packed fast. Sundays are good to, because most folks go to church, or just use it as a rest day. No major complaints. I'm very happy this place opened up, because it stopped me from being an everyday couch potato, and got me on the path of a lifestyle change to being fit and healthy. read more

Planet Fitness, Carson on Lomita deserves a five star review. Been a member since before their opening and they have helped me reach my fitness goals and maintain an overall health at an affordable price. I upgraded to the black membership and enjoy the massage charge and tanning station/s. They are conveniently close to home and open 24/7 and modified hours during holidays (no big deal). They are always friendly, always cleaning always attentive and welcoming. They are busy but if you have a plan and work out regimen then you can get in a good workout. They have a lot of cardio machines and push machines as well as a few cable pull machines. read more

Not a good gym, people sure do not know how to use the equipment and keep them sweat free. WIPE THE SHIT DOWN, WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED! NO ONE LIKES TO SIT IN YOUR FKN SWEATY SEAT. You'll also see a few RVs parked in the lot, non use of gym, but the RV owners would use the toilet, shower and bathroom without using the gym. It's all about the membership sign ups, not the quality of the gym. "New year, new me" starts with your own attitude, you're not the only one in this gym, common courtesy. I use this gym in the wee small hours of the morning, hopefully when no one is there. 10 a month, what can your 10 bucks expect except the worst of people. I might be over to bitch and complain, but decent is decency in being mindful of others around you, LOOK FOR SOME, yo. read more

Nah. Equipment is solid. Place is always clean. Front desk minions not so much. Always talking to each other while you wait for them. Final straw was I went to tan and was told no. Went the day before at 430pm. Went the next day at 4pm. Told me can only go once in 24 hours. Understandable. But when I let em know I gotta be to work in a few and asked if they could make an exception I was told "Nah". Cool. read more

I am having the workout of my life with trainer, Juan, at my age. Not a day I trained with him without breaking a sweat. Different training sets, brings difference in my body sculpture, weight and wellness. Juan is understanding and very a very effective trainer. I look forward to coming to the gym with hopes of getting that efficiency in my workouts. He has helped me curve my constant fatigue, to an energetic body. I can't trade that with anything. I enjoy and look forward to coming to the gym in his training booth camp. He is a super General. No joking, straight workout. Please keep him at this Carson location. read more

Upset at the place, employees are slacking. So much that they're using the facility. I'm a black card member and my partner couldn't use the other bed because someone was using it for his break time. When I left he still had 8 minutes left on the machine plus the 5 we had spent at the same time. Members only get 5 minute Max a day. I was like no toilet paper fine, I'll let this pass but the employee using the hydra message that seem like too much. I pay extra for the extra uses of the gym. :/ read more

I been to several planet fitnesses, and they are all the same, they have people hogging the equipment and watching videos on their phone and talking on the phone and not actually working out. Then their is not pool, no sauna no steam room, no basketball court, very few selections of weights and it's just a cheap gym to go to if your broke and can't afford a real gym like 24 hour fitness. I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for over 10 years and have never been let down, yes i pay 29.99 a month but it'a worth it, and I can go to any club I want 24 hours a day, unlike plant fitness. I only started to try this place out because my bro Eddy comes here because it's close to his house but I wasn't to impress with these gyms at all. I'm going to stick to my 24 hour fitness and be happy their. Btw the bathrooms at every plant fitness I been to smelled bad and never had TP or paper towels. read more

This location Never has any service and Wi-Fi sucks you can't do any kind of workout towards the back of you want to stream music

Great location to come for cardio machines. Everything from treadmills, bikes to all sorts of different variations of elliptical machines. Today was arm and abs day and I started with some cardio, did plenty of arm workouts and when I got to abs.....I only saw a few machines. The variations of the machines I found for crunches etc just didn't work for me. Not all parts of machines are meant to move. For instance the crunch machine that you lay down on your back to operate has you sticking your legs between 2 rollers where everytime you do a single crunch, your legs roll back and forth on the rollers. Wish it was just stationary. A few other machines I just didn't feel comfortable working so only arms got a workout today. As for little things, there is no Wi-Fi available like the Lakewood location has and I had no service the entire time and I have Verizon...guess that's as problem I should be taking up with VZ tho huh? Lol Very clean gym, staff was nice and able to answer my questions for me. I'm still not sold on the membership yet so I guess I'll continue to visit with my aunt as her guest for FREE!! read more

I usually go to the Torrance Planet Fitness but this one is closer to my house and I like it primarily bc around the times I go during the week, its not crowded( 830am-10am). I'm not sure about the after work hours or weekend but the mornings are good. This facility is clean and they are constantly cleaning which is awesome. All of the machines work for the most part, I encountered one machine that didn't but it was okay. I enjoy my workouts and the atmosphere and ill probably keep coming to this one unless I'm in torrance. read more
