I read someone here say, he's in his office most of time. I say there is some truth to that but I am glad that he doesn't micromanages me! He is still watching through his computer what is happening on the floor. He saw me struggling finding a balance once and he came right out to correct my posture. He is watching at all times and I appreciate that. I also love the encouragement that the gives me. His statement, "you are not here to try, you are here to work" lives rent-free in my head. I push myself harder because I know he believes I can do it. The fee can be a little steep for others but you get what you pay for . I treat it as an investment I am making for myself. This is a great community and the workouts are safe and fun! The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable. They are always watching and correcting form while giving you a little push to go heavier. Workouts are usually a circuit of stations using free weights, kettlebells, TRX, boss balls, etc. The ab finisher and sled pushes at the end top off the challenging hour. That being the basics you might ask about the gym, let me tell you about my results on the 8 week slim down challenge. I worked out 2-3 times at the gym per week and tried to do alternate activities on my off days. I ate a sensible meal plan, no crazy supplements or restrictions. I lost 14 pounds and am off 2 medications. My labs came back better and the panic I felt about my health is gone and I feel hope. So instead of experiencing of crazy starvation diet and bootcamp misery, I found a lifestyle reset. This is sustainable. I don't feel deprived or broken. Even in this horrid heatwave, I'm getting up for my 5am workouts. I may not exactly look forward to that 4:30 am alarm, but it is a new habit that is part of my morning routine.

First piece of advice, if you want a trainer that is knowledgable and friendly, choose Carlos!…read more Training with Carlos has been the best investment I have made in my health. When I first started training with Carlos about 18 months ago, I honestly didn't have an expectation on what I was getting myself into but I soon found out I'd become a loyal customer. In the beginning, I still had a gym membership with 24 hr fitness; one that I'd had for about 10 years but I rarely if ever went to. I'm happy to say I have stopped wasting be my money with24 hr fitness and am more than happy with the results I have had under the instruction of Carlos. In the beginning, I was a little scared. I'd never really done any weight training but I must say, I love it!!!! I come consistently every week, three times a week because I LOOK forward to my workouts. Yes, I may complain while I am doing them, but I feel really good after I am done. I'm really impressed at what I have accomplished with my squats, deadlifts, push presses and bench presses, along with all the other stuff I thought I'd never be strong enough to do. Don't let the small look of the gym deceive you! You will see results. I am the strongest I have ever been. Not only can I see the physical changes in my body, I can feel them too. When I started I had a really awful lower back pain...gone! I injured my shoulder doing rec sports and Carlos helped me nurse my injury and continue training. Carlos is seriously awesome! Carlos also has provided me with weekly meal plans that have made a a real impact in my weight loss. Basically, Carlos does all the grunt work and I am responsible for the execution....he's not a magician people, but he does lay it all out. Now I'm meal prepping and honestly, makes eating healthy, easy. All the accomplishments I have had working out are thanks to Carlos. Carlos cares about his clients and it's genuine. If you're debating about getting a better version of yourself, do yourself a favor and train with Carlos. Oh I almost forgot, Carlos provides clean towels for sweaty workouts, cold water bottles and has protein powder for your post-workouts...just bring your blender cup!!!
