They were great with my cats. Made them and I feel very comfortable. Will continue to see them for my animals needs.

Dr. Schifo was upfront and honest throughout the whole process, making sure to keep me informed. Hannah is the sweetest and knew just how to keep my cat calm throughout a stressful process. I knew the test took a long time that is why I waited 2 months for it. My pets worse condition had nothing to do with this wait I did originally. So please think what you want. When someone is that upset your job is to calm them done specially when it comes to a member of their family. In this case since my pets test results were worse he should of been put on meds the same day. Not when it's convenient for the Dr's to read it. After getting the results I knew what needed to be done and I'm not even a Dr. The cardiologist had it writing out what the next steps were. Thanks for the response but this response was completely false. I'm also glad I was able to get him on meds right away and already noticed a difference. So I'm happy with this new vet. Please next time take everything in conclusion before writing a review back. Thank you have a great day

By the time I drove him to Purdue University ER small animal hospital and got the help he needed even they looked at the records and questioned Plainfield's staffs every move and decision just like I did besides 1 damn thing which was my 100% respectfully letting them know he would be receiving some SQ fluids due to severe dehydration and he's 10lbs....so the one thing the owner insisted on which these crooks charged almost $70 for the small SQ fluids. My first Pomeranian lived til 16 and I took her for over a year for Q Fluids 2x a week at vet in an amazing city Munster, IN and her and I would be in and out and 25 mins tops and it was $12-15. $70 for fluids is why so many poor owners and the poor pets suffer because they have no way of ever saving or helping their poor pet simply bc places like this only care about the $$ not your animals. It was so scary. And they put him on an antibiotics even though both blood work results he'd already had recently showed zero signs or symptoms of infection nor eating much at all nor drinking so he wouldn't even take it anyways but another way to have me pay more. Purdue ER said to not even give it to him bc it was 109% unnecessary. They also told me to put him on pain medication that come to find out it put him in more danger!!!! THIS PLACED SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

To start off I had been taking both of my dogs to a different vet for the past 12 years and over…read morethe past 6 years have been more and more frustrated with that vets office. I started using Animal Medical enter about a year ago for emergency visits and every time had a good to great experience. Yes expensive, but it was the same cost as most places for walk in emergency visits. In January I had brought my dogs in to my old vet after confirming the appointment that week to be told the appointments had been rescheduled, again! So I called Animal Medical Center and they were able to get my dogs seen together at the same time, on the day of the week I was available in a few weeks, not a month and a half. I was thrilled! Day off we got checked in and all the front of house staff was wonderful just during like the emergency visits. The wait was not long at all. The back of house staff were amazing. The vet tech that took all our information was incredible. Her name is Lauren and she took her time and actually listened to my concerns and made recommendations that might help my one dogs allergies, along with going over my concerns about both my dogs starting to get older, they will both be 13 this year. Lauren alone was enough to make me stay with this practice but it was not just her. All the other techs were so great not onto with us but with both dogs. The vet was kind, great with the dogs, and again something I did not even realize I felt was missing at my previous vet, she listened to my concerns and had recommendations to help ease my worries. I appreciated that they went over prices for everything after the vet saw the dogs but before the shots, nail trims, and bloodwork so you knew what you were getting into. I also got price quotes for a dental cleaning and X-rays and prices for everything while expensive compare with my previous vet and are better on some items. I am thrilled I finally got my butt in gear and switched feet offices and am beyond thrilled to be a client here.

I called this clinic to make an appointment and the lady was very nice to me and I was able to get him in....because my dog is a new patient she did explain that there would be a $50 deposit to hold the appointment...I had no problem with that because I found out that it does go toward the final bill of the visit. So, the appointment was set for 10:30...they do expect you to arrive 10 min early....I was actually 15 min early but when I brought him in, they were already expecting him....which I totally appreciated the prompt check in. They checked his weight and escorted us right into the exam room. Kylie (the vet tech) was so sweet! She was so professional and Rocky was very comfortable with her handling him! And Dr. Noyes was great too! She was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering my questions. Checking out was easy and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and proficient. I'm looking forward to bringing my dog here for all of his healthcare needs.

We took my grandmother's ailing dog, Diva, to this clinic on 5/11 expecting a peaceful,…read morestraightforward euthanasia to end her suffering from lymphoma, but had the worst experience of our lives. When she got brought into the room, she was given a shot by Dr. Kelsey Noyes that was supposed to knock her out within a few minutes. We spoke to many dog owners and others who worked in vet clinics, and they unanimously said it should be peaceful and take 2-3 min tops. 10 minutes later, our dog was still conscious, and having a panic attack, eyes bulging out of her head, clearly nervous, half drugged from the sedative. My mother went out to the desk to tell them, only to be told dismissively it could take up to 20 minutes. By the time the doctor came back ~20 min later, the dog is still conscious in this panicked drugged state. After realizing the initial shot to knock her out didn't work, she opted to put a catheter (an IV) into her front leg and inject her with a second sedative shot through that. Several minutes went by and she was still awake, except panicking, shaking, gasping for air even more intensely. Dr. Noyas asked us if we were ready for the final shot, to which we immediately said yes, assuming it would immediately stop what we were witnessing. Well, that didn't happen. Of everyone we talked to over the last couple days, all of their dogs were completely unconscious before having the 2nd fatal shot administered. Ours wasn't, and was 10/10 panicking and terrified. Euthasol (the drug used) stops the heart and lungs. While injecting this, the catheter fell out of Diva's leg, essentially giving her a half-fatal dose while Dr. Noyas worked to re-attach it and administer the rest. For what seemed like 1-3 minutes (we all lost track of time, it felt like a dream), we watched our conscious dog violently shake, convulse, and gasp for air fighting against the effects. All the while my mother is having a panic attack crying, and my 85 year old grandmother is holding her to comfort her and stop her from falling off of the table because of the shaking. She slowly fades into stillness, at which point Dr. Noyas examines her and we're told she is gone. She gives her condolences shortly thereafter, and leaves with her assistant. We are all in complete shock and horror. We leave shortly after and stand in the parking lot for at least 20 minutes just trying to process and make sense of what we just witnessed. There was no apology, no explanation, no warning of what the 2nd fatal shot was going to do to her. I reach out to their practice email that evening asking to speak to the 2 highest people in the practice, the practice manager and the office manager. Instead of responding to my request and giving me their emails, I'm instead called Monday morning by another vet in the office to talk to me about the problem, perhaps so the news of what happened wouldn't get to their bosses and it gets dealt with there? At this point I don't know or don't care. Diva came from an abusive household, we did everything we could to give her a happy, comfortable, love-filled life. She didn't deserve to experience this. We didn't deserve to see this. We honestly feel like we have failed her by trusting her in this practice's care. I don't know whether to be furious or incredibly sad about this entire thing. It was the worst thing we have ever seen. Why was there a substantial lack of care throughout this procedure? Why did Dr. Noyas determine this method of care to be the best choice for Diva? What is being done to correct this? This was such a horrible experience for all of us. I don't want anyone else to go through this.

He provided possible diagnosis and told me that he would call me with lab results on Monday as they were closed on Sunday. Instead he called me in Sunday and informed me that we would need to proceed with x-rays on Monday as her labs were almost 7 times higher than they should be. Lucy underwent a 4 hour surgery for pyrometra (a uterus filled with deadly puss). Lucy's situation was not good. If the uterus leaked any of the puss into her abdomen that would cause her to develop an infection. Dr. Verma did an amazing job and removed her uterus intact. It weighed at 9 pounds while the normal uterus size for a dog is the size of a pencil. Lucy had no prior symptoms to alert me before the 2 days of not eating and vomiting. 4 days after surgery Lucy was back to her kangaroo-jumping, living life, giving kisses self. She is 10 years old and I was scared that this was our good-bye. Yet Dr. Verma made it that we still have time! I really hate to be the one who writes the first not excellent review but we are not fans of care…read morereceived when we put our cat to sleep. We have been bringing our animals there since we moved to the neighborhood. Dr. Buchanan and Dr. K are amazing. Dr. Buchanan helped us through many issues with our cat. Dr. K has seen both of our German Shepherds. Dr. K recently put our senior German Shepherd to sleep and it was the most kind and compassionate care we've ever received. Our girl went out with dignity and respect. My issue is with Dr. Hlad. She is the newest addition to the practice. My 18 year old cat had recently had many kidney issues, thyroid issues, and just really slowing down. I knew it was time to put her to sleep. My husband and I took her in. The vet techs were amazing as always. They did the paperwork as I was saying my good byes to my baby. Dr. Hlad enters the room at this time and gives a loose explanation of the process. When I say loose she uses terms like "easy peasy" and "side vein stuff". There was no compassion. Part of me wanted to take my girl home and wait for another doctor but I couldn't bear to put her through that. They then take her back to place a IV in her leg to administer the drugs. She came in to administer the drugs which was quick. She then grabs my baby around the chest and states "she's gone" as she walks out of the room. No condolences. No "I'm sorry". No auscultation of a heartbeat. It was honestly the most upsetting moment in my life that my 18 year old pet went out like that. As a person in medicine myself I could never imagine talking to ANY patient or family in that manner. Bedside manner is paramount to any medical practice whether your patient has two legs or four paws. Any patient deserves to go out with dignity. Dr. Hlad could use a lesson in communication as well as compassion. My husband and I will continue to use the practice but will only see Dr. K or Dr. Buchanan.
