I've had my car worked on at ER off and on since I bought the thing. My car is not new by any…read moremeans, and has needed work from a radiator replacement... to brake jobs... to exhaust work... and every little thing in between and they've handled it. They have a super cute lobby at their Plain City location and they always have chilled drinks, coffee, and fresh baked goods. They offer loaner cars for certain services and I've never used that amenity personally, but the loaner vehicles in their lot look very nice and clean every time I see them! Even though I've moved throughout the years I still come back to ER because they're not judgy of my old decaying SUV, and they do their best to help. I can't speak to their pricing just because I honestly haven't had my car worked on anywhere else for big things. But they have coupons and I've always been able to afford their work!

Extremely disappointing experience. The biggest issue is that this shop charged me about $100 MORE…read morethan Tesla for the exact same replacement tire, including installation. An independent shop charging more than the Tesla dealership is absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, the tire they installed started leaking air shortly after the installation. I brought it back, and they eventually found the leak at the bead. Instead of taking responsibility for a problem with the installation, they claimed my rim was cracked and tried to sell me a new rim, pointing to existing curb rash as the cause. I took it to Costco for a second opinion. They cleaned and resealed the bead, checked for leaks, and fixed the problem. No new rim was needed. On top of that, communication and turnaround time were extremely poor throughout the entire process. Paid more than Tesla, had a leak after their installation, and was then told I needed an expensive new rim when a simple bead reseal fixed the problem. Get a second opinion before authorizing additional work here.

Guys at NP did a total engine tune up with new plugs, wires, ignition coils, and some other things. Car's running great again and all in, parts and labor, $650 which I thought was very reasonable. Guys know their stuff, no upselling, just took pride in fixing our vehicle at a fair price. NP's my go-to shop for stuff I can't do or wanna do myself.

The oil change service itself was fine. However, I was out walking and saw my car drive by me…read moreheaded away from North Pointe Auto. It scared me because I thought my car had been stolen. I had left it unlocked in the NPA parking lot. When I returned to NPA, I told the manager I thought my car had been stolen and almost called 911. He told me it was out for a test drive. For an OIL CHANGE? He told me they always test drive every car. I knew this was a lie because I had been there before and I always wait outside for my car to be serviced. Never once had they test driven it. The manager then involved the owner, whose face told me that he'd never heard of a test drive for an oil change. But he naturally backed up his manager's lie. It turns out that the Audi mechanic's Audi knowledge is years out of date and he didn't recognize the yellow "check your surroundings" light on the virtual dashboard display. (He also didn't know the tire pressure placard was replaced years ago to just state the maximum allowable PSI.) So the mechanic drove my car to see if the light would go off. The mechanic joined in the lie that NPA always test drives a car before and after every service. He also claimed he had to drive the car to get the engine up to operating temperature. He apparently doesn't know the temperature gauge tells you this. The owner told me to get out and never come back because I caught the bunch of them in lies and complained that I had not authorized a test drive, or, even been informed that there would be one.

But with an aging car that is starting to get leaks and other wear and tear, I knew it was high time to finally get an inspection. Fortunately, Yelp recommended Tom & Jerry's, and after taking it in and getting some substantial service done, I couldn't be happier with my experience. One of the great things about T&J's is that they text you a link to your inspection report, which lists urgent, not-so-urgent, and recommended items to address...and pictures of all of the problem areas. I was actually quite relieved that my car's main leak was from cracked transmission lines and not an actual failing transmission. Even if I didn't have some basic mechanical knowledge, it would have been obvious from the pictures that the lines needed to be replaced. Likewise, images of battery life, ride quality, and other factors all helped me opt to fix the more urgent service items. When talking to the technician over the phone, he never tried to sell me on the less urgent items (such as a loose sway bar), and the prices quoted were very reasonable. Ultimately, I spent $1200 on four tires, a new battery, a replaced passenger mirror (labor only -- I'd brought in the part), an oil change, the inspection itself, and the replacement transmission lines. It would be an exaggeration to say my car feels new, but there's something to be said for the peace of mind that it's been thoroughly inspected, and the key issues have been addressed. Given that I was dreading having to potentially shop for a new car, I'm especially glad for T&J's service. One minor negative that is nonetheless worth mentioning is that they don't have much of a waiting area, and there aren't any decent places to sit for awhile nearby (the Starbucks, five blocks away, is drive-thru only!). After wandering around the area for awhile, I wound up just getting a Lyft home. Not a big deal at all, but just be prepared to drop off your car and have a pick-up option ready.

Wow! This place is a complete rip off. $140 Oil change and tire rotation?!…read more Scheduled online, for a Friday just an oil change and tire rotation on my '17 Camry. At 110K miles I've had one every 5K miles.I've paid an average of $40-$60 over its lifetime but.. never $140. There was no quote online or in person I was ever given, I was in no way expecting $140. I told them this at the counter, and they said they quoted other shops around and they're all there. Ok.. uh no. Regardless I'll never be back. No communication, drop off 8am, vehicle was ready at 4:30(not a problem necessarily, but an opportunity for sure).
