Being an experienced homeowner, I requested the manager (Blake over all 911 Restoration) send a competent technician so it would be repaired correctly. Blake assured me the technician was highly skilled. Fortunately for me, I was in town and was able to see the poor work the technician did. The dehumidification equipment was set up inappropriately. The wet wood would have taken several more days (and several $100s more charged by 911 Restorations) to dry. The antifungal treatment was piss-poor. The tech literally did a few squirts of thyme oil, and he didn't even get the wet and dark areas, where the mold would be more likely to grow. Overall, very disappointed in the technician's skills and pissed off at myself for falling for Blake's charming nature. He is not honest. Beware.

Instead of presenting a legitimate, mutually agreed‑upon contract, they attempted to use the initial water‑remediation paperwork as leverage, pressuring me to accept the inflated costs before any repair work began. When I refused to authorize the work, they filed a mechanic's lien against my property. That lien is no longer valid, yet they have not removed it, and I continued receiving aggressive communication from out‑of‑state attorneys demanding payment. In my view, this is part of a pattern designed to intimidate homeowners. This ordeal has dragged on for nearly a year. I also experienced property damage and missing items during the process, adding even more frustration to an already exhausting situation. In my opinion, this company--and specifically my experience with Ken McFarland and his family--was the most unethical interaction I've ever had with a contractor.
