Jesus Edwin Peña DID NOT START WORK UNTIL April 7 2025 ALMOST 3 MONTHS LATER! He originally told me the project would be completed within 8-10 weeks! As of October 20 2025 the project I hired Jesus Edwin Peña to do is about 98% finished! Throughout this project we were living out of the garage as our whole entire house was dismantled!! WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO GO ON FOR 9 MONTHS! NOT ONE TIME did Jesus Peña work a 40 hour work week or did any of his employees ! If his employees did showed up they were only at my home for a few hours & in most cases did NOTHING! Jesus even asked me to pay his SUB CONTRACTOR $2,000 otherwise his electrician wouldn't come back over to finish because Jesus Edwin Peña was not paying him! Jesus Edwin Peña never showed up on scheduled inspection days instead choosing to have his employee be here to interact with the city inspector causing us to fail many inspections! If & when Jesus Edwin Peña would answer his phone or even show up at my house after days & weeks with no work being done I would express my frustration with his INCOMPETENCE & FAILURE TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IN A TIMELY MANNER! I checked his contractor license before I hired him & decided to check it again & it is CURRENTLY SUSPENDED! I made a complaint with the California State licensing board and with his bond insurance company. Two of the cabinets installed had to be reset by the granite countertop guy in order to make them level and not look weird. He never finished the trim around the cabinets. Eddie and his plumber replaced the water and drain lines in the kitchen. The kitchen sink would not drain after being reinstalled. Every other drain in the house drained fine other than the drain they worked on and it drained fine before they worked on it. When told about it Eddie would not take responsibility for it. This sink ties into the same drain line as all the other plumbing in the house and everything else drained fine. The quality of work is sub par and then when asked to make it right Eddie becomes argumentative and defensive about his mistakes.
