Such a great hole in the wall pizza with fabulous service and a chill vibe, I highly recommend stopping by and trying not only their delicious pizzas but their other dishes and entrees too!!! The BEST CAESAR SALAD in the city is definitely here, they don't skimp out on the dressing which is already perfectly mixed and the parmasean cheese and anchovy filets send it over the edge, honestly the highlight for me!!! The pizza, you can taste the wood burning crust and it's so fresh. And the Burrata it was not typical but so good. It came with fruit and bread slices. I've walked by this spot for years! Never have I once visited. Reason? I was on my way to the gym. Bam! SF Power Outage! With hopes that the power would return, I stayed in the area. Hours passed and was famished. To my surprise, Pizzetta Napoletana was open! The perks of having a wood fired oven. We were quickly seated. We ordered Monzo E Burrata (5/5) Wagyu beef salami, burrata, San Marzano and House made mozzarella. This was my favorite of the two. The perfect ratio of meat to cheese. The flavors were on point and not overly salty. Capra e Cavolo (4/5) Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese, kale, spinach, green onions and San Marzano. I was expecting to like this one more but the kale and spinach where alittle too charred. The pizza crust was thin, crispy yet chewy in the center. I love the wood fired taste infused into the crust. [Pepperoni Pizza] Thin crust that isn't swimming in sauce - just the way we like it! The crust has a nice crisp to it near the edges and while the center isn't crispy, it doesn't get soggy and still holds everything together (nice chew too). [Wings] Oven-baked with a nice char and crunch. The sauce is also good! [Caesar salad] Anchovies are a must! The portion was quite large so that was a nice surprise. [Wine] Generous pours for $6! We tried the malbec, tempranillo, and sauvignon blanc. The latter was the best and tasted so refreshing. We devoured everything! Cute, hole-in-the-wall type, pizza shop. Very casual, and had soccer on the TV. The back area looked like a bar, but it was closed when we arrived. The servers are super nice, but we did have to wait until the end of our meal before we were checked up on to receive water refills. This is probably more of personal thing, as I drink a large amount of water while eating. From what we ordered I'd recommend the beets salad and the Diavola with Burrata added. The Greco is good but it doesn't hit a lot of different flavors and the butternut squash pizza was good just not one I'd get myself. Would absolutely come here again and try other items. read more

Well, here goes. I'm a fan of the idea of wood fire pizza, but it's so ubiquitous now that it's not unique anymore. It's all beginning to taste the same. Same notes, same flavor. But, Enter Pizzeta Napoletana. For toppings they use fresh ingredients, sourced locally, good quality meats, HOUSE MADE cheese, and imported flour (Italy). For those reading this who've been to Italy and had pizza, you'll know what i mean. You don't feel heavy and bloated, you can enjoy the pizza or bread without the discomfort of being too full after a few slices. The pizza at Pizza Napoletana is similar to that. I love the fact that they are thoughtful about ingredients and seem to want to stand out, which they've done in my book. It still has some similarities to other wood fire pizza joints, but they've done enough for me to notice that it's not lumped into the crowd of other WF pizza places. The little details make a difference for me. Service was pretty good. Nice waitress, and she was helpful. I spoke with one of the gentleman in charge on my way, and he was very personable& happy to discuss pizza and ingredients (Shout out to"H". It was good meeting you). Ambience is quiet, sports on the TV but not loud, crowded and noisy. My ideal type of spot to enjoy my pizza, quietly, evaluate the day and reset.
