yummy pizza. I got the chicken bacon ranch and it was alright. I would've wanted more ranch but this place is nice for a quick bite. The seating area was very clean.

Margherita pizza, garlic knots and a soda for $9

I haven't had pizza in a while cause well, trying to lose some lbs. Sometimes you just have to and so I did. do not regret it for a second. Oh my the pizza is everything I was hoping for, crust was perfect, fresh mozzarella, tomato was perfect. I went all in with garlic knots and they brought a tear to my eye. Marinara was just amazing with a touch of sweetness! Yummmm and the price was good as well! I wish I was coming back but, I will be stuck with Michigan pizza so sad The staff was nice and I sat outside in 70 degree weather... what could be better ?

Back up. Consistent Damn good huge slices. Would be a better rating if they had Mushroom always. They seem to always be out. Also can get a HUGE line around lunch time. Best Slices- Plain Cheese Tomato Basil Mushroom Supreme (one with everything on it) Chicken Bacon Ranch Avoid Slices- Buffalo Chicken, just not a good rendition

Pepperoni pizza and garlic knots

Best pizza spot in Downtown Albany, hands down. Sapienza's is a favorite for my coworkers and I. Right down the street and delicious. There are a variety (at least 6-7 on any given day) of different slices to choose from and the slices are huge. Staff are always nice and have been the same group of guys for at least the past 5-6 years I've been going. Always a smiling face and very polite. There are other options as well: hot and cold subs/sandwiches, calzones, stromboli, wings, salads, Italian meals and so on. This is absolutely a place to try if in Downtown Albany!

Lunch special - 2 slices & med soda

Nice little pizza spot nestled in Downtown Albany. Service was a little grumbly, but I can cope with that at a pizza place if the food is good. And good it was. Had a couple slices - one pepperoni, one sausage. Crust was crispy and not too thick. Toppings were plentiful. The sauce was subtly sweet. There was just enough of that pizza love juice to remind you that you're not eating a salad, but not so much as to make it greasy. Yeah, authentic NY slices. Sapienza is legit.

It's a small hole in the wall pizza joint by the Times Union Center. Nothing flashy here, food is well, food. Good selection, not much that isn't somewhere else. I come here mainly before going to a game or concert at the Times Union Center. Pizza slice sizes are bigger than most places, frequently having specials on various kinds are a draw. A slice of veggie pizza here has frequently overflowed with toppings. The mushroom slices are also good. It can get real crowded here so if you have more than one person and all are paying at the same time, have the extra snag a table. While this isn't my favorite pizza joint in the area, it does the job before a game or event at the Times Union Center, that is to say that it has cheap food, cheap price. Nothing flashy or fancy, just food.

Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, purple onion, excellent!

Pretty amazing pizza. Friendly staff. You can usually catch a glimpse of some interesting goings on right outside the restaurant.

Quick and a good piece of pizza at an excellent price. Signage made some of it guess work, but 4 of us ate a quick dinner under $20.

This place came up with great reviews, albeit only a couple so far, and we decided to check it out. We drove to the location, which had limited street parking, but we were able to find a spot using my parallel parking skills, then we headed inside. It was a small place, with 2 tables that each sat 4. The TV was on, and we chatted with the guy on the counter who shared a menu with us. In the end we settled for a traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza. No one was using the tables, and we decided to eat in rather than head back to our hotel. We chatted and waited for our pizza, which was done quick and was delicious! Everything you could want from a thin new york style pizza. Good amount of cheese, charred pepperoni, not overcooked or burnt, the crust was soft and delicious. The service was awesome. Every worker we spoke to was nice and personable, without being annoying, over the top or in the way. We were offered silverware and plates, and enjoyed our pizza, before needing a box despite it being so good. I would definitely consider heading back here the next time i'm in Albany, great food AND great service at a reasonable price, what more could you want?

I haven't been to this original location on 4th St. in Troy for a few years. The family operation is nearly 100 years old. Remarkably, it's very much as I remember it. A tiny place with three tables. Some of the seating looks like repurposed church pews. The youthful staff, friendly as always. They were running into some delays as orders came pouring in just before dinnertime. They'd have to check to see if they could fit our order for a big pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and peppers. They squeezed us in! Since the wait would be between 20-30 minutes we kept ourselves busy by checking out the desserts in the self serve refrigerator. I picked out a slice of "hangover" (alcohol) cake and I devoured it before our meal arrived. It was so delicious and naughty fun to eat our dessert before the meal. The pizza was fantastic when it arrived. I prefer crisp crusts-- this one was not-- but it was awesome just the same. My friend and I were so hungry that we consumed half of the pie before I realized that we hadn't photographed our delicious pizza. The remaining half was boxed and taken home to be enjoyed for a couple more days. The staff was so ready. They came to our table with the box and we settled up our bill. A lot to be said for tradition and quality. I've also visited DeFazio's in Albany, but I have yet to visit the relatively new restaurant up the block. Thanks, DeFazio's, for another great meal.

You can't always tell if a food truck at a brewery will be a hit or not - but this one was. The bottom crust had a nice char and the edges were pillowy. Absolutely amazing! And we got leftover pizza afterwards, which was a lifesaver particularly for me and my husband since we were being pulled in many directions throughout the night. Thank you Craig for making our wedding so special, I know we will be visiting you again soon!

Dough cooked just right NY style. Chewy with light browned bottom crust. The sauce is fresh and honestly the tastiest I have had around here, and they don't skimp on it. My dinner mate kept saying it was tofu but I don't know if it was that either. We also ordered mozzarella sticks which were fine, nice size, typical mozzarella sticks.
