The pizza is relatively thin crust and can be customized to add plenty of toppings, including local mushrooms. The sushi is some of the most solid in the area. Don't expect an elevated traditional sushi experience--this is more about solid quality and volume for a reasonable price. I usually order a combination platter, which comes with a mix of simple rolls plus a few fancier ones (selection seems to rotate). The fish is always good quality. Got take out from here last night and will say this place is pretty darn awesome. Located in a shopping center in Greenville, so parking is not an issue. No inside seating but patio seating available for warmer weather days. Staff greeted ya upon arrival. There was an order pick up before our and she must could tell this was our first time by the way we looked at the menu. She recommended the hot honey, which was already on my To Try list after seeing a DE based influencers video on instagram recently. We got the hot honey and philly cheesesteak. Also got a side of truffle ranch for dipping as well. Everything is made to order, so we waited about 10-15 mins. The food was well worth the wait. Finally-a place where I can order or pick up pizza and garlic knots, fresh and cooked to perfection on days when cooking is the furthest thing from my mind! My kid loves this place and I do too because it's probably one of the best places for pizza that I've come across since moving away from the NY/NJ area. As you know, native New Yorkers have very high standards for pizza and this place makes the cut. My son loves sushi so we'll have to order some next time: very clever niche. Btw-Philly steak style pizza is a pretty genius and delicious combination that they offer (I had this last time I visited). Pizza and sushi are two of my favorite cuisines, so finding a restaurant that serves both is very exciting. My family placed a large order of both pizza and sushi this evening for takeout. The restaurant is no frills; I'm not sure that I'd ever go out of my way to dine in. However, our takeout experience went seamlessly! Our large order was made correctly and on time. I decided for my first visit, I had to sample both the pizza and sushi. Some of the sushi rolls seemed a little too unusual for my taste buds, but maybe I'll be more adventurous next time. Here's what I tried: Yummy Roll: This was exceptional! I love scallops but rarely see them in sushi rolls. The thinly sliced scallops on this roll were delicious, and the yum yum sauce on top stole the show. Salmon Roll: Decided to order a classic roll and I have to say, this was an especially good salmon roll! It was packed with a lot of salmon (hate when the rice to fish ratio is off) and the fish tasted so fresh. Yellowtail Scallion Roll: This was the only dish I ordered that didn't hit the spot. I love yellowtail normally, but this roll tasted very fishy. After two pieces, I gave up because it tasted pretty off. Pesto Cream pizza: I'm still dreaming about this pizza. The garlic cream and pesto sauce was so flavorful and I was happy that they didn't skimp on toppings. Owner is a hard worker! This is the second location of Pizzeria Maki. They offer pizza and sushi can you believe that?! Good for me when I go out with my husband because he's doesn't like sushi too much and I love it. Ambiance gives more of a quick lunch spot. Personally I wouldn't do a date night here but I was only in for lunch so can't speak too much on that. Food was awesome! They have so many new things I haven't had which is nice to switch things up or go with something basic. We tried this Pizzeria Maki in DE a few times: - Sushi: 4 stars While certainly not "the best" in the Tri-State area, it's still solid, fairly priced take-out sushi (& slightly better & larger portioned than Whole Foods' & Blaze Teraki's sushi). - Pizza: 3 stars very over-priced, especially their 12" pizzas While their various pizzas "tasted good" ( except for their sausage), and were made with quality ingredients, their center crust were all very thin & floppy, causing the toppings to immediately fall off. Plus, there was barely any cheese on some of our other pizzas. WTF? $40 just for two 12" sad lookin' pizzas?! (which did NOT look like the photos of their other pizzas here on Yelp) We were left feeling hungry & totally ripped off. - Staff: 3 stars hit & miss in attitude. Depends on who you get. But atleast our food was ready on time for pick up, and not cold. - Since traffic in that area is bad after 4pm, it may be hard to exit their lot and do a U turn. *If Pizzeria Maki lowered their pizza prices, had better quality control, and made their center pizza crust more thick and stiff, they'd do better business. read more

The pizza was really good and we enjoyed that. The sushi rolls we got...not so much. We got the everything bagel, Octoeel and the salmon nigiri. The everything bagel and Octoeel were okay. I didn't like how they put a lot of fillers on top like cucumbers...basically hiding the roll. Nice change from regular pizza! The Philly cheesesteak pizza had A LOT of flavor. The beer cheese is pretty salty, but other than that it was great! Ive ordered takeout from here 3 times now and have been pleased each time. We've had two different types of garlic knots, two different pizzas and a sushi roll. Everything has been great! They love to play with unique flavor combinations and I appreciate the creativity. The staff has always been really friendly too. I've only done takeout and I'm not sure that they offer dine in, but if so, I need to go in sometime and sit down! I'm always skeptical of restaurants with too many menu items, and think they'd benefit from some simplicity. That being said, I love this concept and get most of our pizza from here.
