Sushi sumo is a popular spot to get sushi. They have weekly sushi specials which is always a great idea if you like to try new rolls. I ordered the kani salad. I wish there was a description for this one. The kani salad from sushi sumo is served with a tobiko crunch topping and shredded crab with some sort of Mayo based sauce. I was not a fan of this version. I ordered the Maryland roll and the Boston roll. The Maryland roll was interesting to me because it had old bay seasoning on it. Definitely an acquired taste. The Boston rolll was a tad difficult to eat with chopsticks since due to it falling apart as soon as I picked it up. I think my next visit I will try out some of the specialty Sushi rolls. read more

Sushi Sumo is always a great place to dine in or take out for sushi. It's definitely in the rotation of places I visit near me. I love that they have weekly specials that are seriously discounted! The lovey dovey roll was one of them this time. Packed on the inside and outside and filled with a creamy yet Smokey flavor. The hairy Mexican is a staple and never disspoints here. I got a few of the more basic rolls like sweet potato which was deliciously simple. I ordered a crunchy spicy tuna and the description states crunchy flakes on the outside however it wasn't the case this time. In my opinion, sushi places with good nigiri are really hard to come by in this area. Sushi Sumo, however, has consistently served us delicious and fresh-tasting nigiri! Well this place is as touch free as it gets. I decided to pick up my sushi from sushi sumo after the gym and I didn't even realize I ordered before they were open (oops). When I arrived around 11am the doors were open, I had to wait around 15 mins because I was so early. They created a door so you can pay and take your carry out without contact with the staff which was pretty cool. I ordered 3 rolls at $15 each so they were a little pricey but decently sized and VERY PRETTY (see photo). We liked our rolls but the Amazing Tuna seemed a little boring to us. Also for $45 we thought maybe we'd get egg rolls with them, but maybe I'm just being greedy. I loved my dinosaur roll and would totally order it again. So if you're looking to eat here the bottom line is very good sushi but also on the pricier side compared to other in the area. read more

They had a lot of different options and I've been looking for spicy tuna crispy rice in the area and have not been able to find a place that has it but they did here! Have ordered three times at this place, Love Boat for 2 twice, chirashi once. The Love Boat for 2 has a lot of food, even for its high price. I don't see any extra expensive cuts of fish however so it's not quite an official omakase experience. I ordered their Uni separately which wasn't bad at all! The presentation for the Love Boat was nice, and the food was up to par with the price, which is not cheap. The Chirashi bowls were also reasonably priced at $23. The cuts you get are fresh and well sized. The sushi rice was the right temperature so you don't get hot raw fish (YUCK) Overall: 4.2/5 stars. Upon arriving to pick up my order I was very impressed with the system they have created to protect their employees and other people's orders. It seems like they built a makeshift doorway, for the time being, so that you don't actually make contact with the person at the register. I loved the avocado roll and sweet potato roll.
